This was super helpful, Chris - thanks! A note to anyone reading as well - if you're using Laravel Forge then don't assume that these things are done for you - they're not!
Not too much on your web server, (altho you could attempt to block bot traffic) - but that’s usually done with a WAF, perhaps with CloudFlare or check out wafris.org
Thx for the videos. Small feedback: I think your videos would be more successful if you improve your audio and avoid the volume peaks. These become more apparent the faster one plays the videos. The directness of the voice is missing a little and the room acoustics are too present. These acoustics make it difficult for non-native speakers to listen.
Chris is one person that used to answer all my questions on Servers in the Laravel Slack channel.
So I trust him when it comes to stuff like this.
thanks so much!
Your content is awesome man, happy I found this channel, no fluff or bs.
thanks so much!

if there is any way to prevent bots or at least reduce ddos attacks ?

@@fideloper Ok thanks Chris 🙏
i will check it
For sites created through Laravel Forge, will it break things? Forge adds some Forge-specific configs to the nginx configuration
yep! this isn’t friendly to forge (forge takes care of a lot of these details tho)
Could you provide the link to the repo? Missing that in the description!
Good point, I added that into the notes! Here it is for you also: github.com/h5bp/server-configs-nginx
tutorials for handling large log files please. i am using ubuntu and nginx. and have large log files

thanks! Room acoustics meaning, like, echo from the walls? I’m not totally sure what action to take there!
@@fideloper what kind of mic do you use? Built-in? If so, maybe it's a point where I would start.
thank you
