When I first went on a Princess cruise I thought the same way about snails as Ben and his mum. But I found they are delicious just like David thought. Yum.
YES 🙌 It’s all about the garlic butter & bread. The best part is sopping up the melted butter with tiny bits of bread. Yum!🐌

I adore Mum, and would happily watch a series of her discovering different cruise lines or destinations - she's a real gem. I'd guess I'm about her age and I'm also new to cruising, so seeing her reactions really does give me a sense of what this trip would be like.
I have been considering a Norwegian cruise for 2024, and Oslo is now definitely a "must do" port!

IN 2017 we did Holland America Konningsdam, 27 days total - back to back to 10 countries. the best ever. love their lifestyle, love their everything. clean, good to their people, so much to be positive about that trip we took.

Ben chasing his desert around the bowel…..priceless! Looked like a flan with a burnt sugar sauce 😉 I’m with David……love escargot but you needed to be dipping crusty bread in the garlic butter sauce. I will never be able to eat it again without thinking about you and your moms reaction. It will for sure have me laughing each and every time. The two of you are the best and I just love your mom! I watched this when it came out last week and now watching it again….can’t get enough of my favorite guys!

Oslo, I’ve never cruised there but I was born and grew up there and have visited every spot you went to except that suspicious buffet. Loved seeing you guys experience it. As far as Princess, I get the Fettuccine Alfredo just about every single night as an appetizer. Well, one of my appetizers, lol. And David was right, the escargot is much better if you eat it on a piece of bread, lol. All the best guys, can’t wait for your next adventure!
Escargot are really just a vehicle for garlic and butter, I like them.

I lived there for a short time years ago and yes it's expensive and taxes are high but that pays for their incredible social programs and university is FREE! among other things. Incredible place. Great video btw.

Great vlog! I went on my first ever cruise in August, armed with loads of tips thanks to you guys - it really took a lot of the anxiety out of the process - and I had an absolute blast! I was on the Sky Princess, and I think it was a similar itinerary as yours; we did Kristiansand, Copenhagen, Skagen, and Oslo.
I did my own thing in each port and one thing I can highly recommend in Oslo is the tour of the opera house; I paid £10.24 and it was about an hour-long tour (I booked online in advance). We were able to sit in on a bit of a rehearsal in the main auditorium with the full chorus and soloists, and they take you all around backstage and to the wardrobe department. We also caught a glimpse of a prima ballerina rehearsing her upcoming role for the ballet 'Giselle', and saw some of the sets being constructed for the new season of operas. Plus the architecture of the building itself is quite wonderful. Really not too shabby for just over a tenner!
BTW - the tour was in English, and our wonderful tour guide used to be a ballerina with the company.

Unfortunately, David’s mom passed away about 2 years ago. He mentioned it when he got a tattoo on the Valiant Lady.

The horns!!! I grew up watching the original episodes of The Love Boat. I binged watched "The Love Boat" again before I went on my first cruise on Virgin back in June. Hearing that song made my heart happy!!! We are preparing to take a RCL cruise in Feb. I'm making it a goal to cruise on Princess next!!! Thank you sooooo much for your videos, spirit & laughter!!! I think I want a Dirty Banana now 🍌😅😂!!!!

The sail out (here) reminded me a bit of sailing around Alaska. 2 of the 3 Alaska cruises I've been on, Alaska was unseasonably warm. Even if you never left your balcony you could experience all the beauty of the trip! You will love it when you go! Thx again for the great vlog!

Great video of Oslo. I loved the funny sculpture garden comments. Many years ago we went to Oslo but did not go there, but did go to the open air museum with the interesting buildings. Love you guys and your Mom. After watching so many of your videos I feel like you are my secret brothers (and now my newly found aunt), even thought you are British and I am American and we have never met. At any rate I wish you were my brothers! You are such lovely guys (and Mom). Your videos are so interesting, funny, helpful, just wow! You ought to have a traveling tv show...you are the best!

This is good information about Oslo. I had no idea how expensive Oslo is. Wow! More expensive than NYC! Good tip on taking the tour in a port like this.
