Shane I've been checking out a lot of different youtube videos. Yours seem to be the most beneficial man. Do you have an online course on WRT, ASD, mold remediation, Exactimate. Whats up Mike! Good to hear from you... Yes, we recently put together a program for startups. You can book a call with us at www.workwithshane.com or text me at 615-685-2128 Restoration is a great business (once you figure it out) You get to help people - and GET RICH win win :)
Hi Shane, do you think it is a good idea to start up a 51/49% company for water restoration works together with insurance agent (lawyer?) who can bring the jobs and deal with insurance companies, while I will be doing the jobs? I have no any experience in this area. Thanks.
I wouldn't do a startup with anyone on an equity basis. You can get leads for 10-30% of the value of the job pretty easily... no need to give up 49 or 50% My answer is no I can show you how to get great leads from the internet If you want to strike a deal with that guy on a job per job basis... that is one thing I would NOT do it for the whole company
Hi Shane so say if you get a call for a water damage job how do you give an estimate do you go look at it photos etc because I feel going out and looking waste time when you could be getting and doing other jobs because what If you go look and don’t seal the job
Great question. What I would do personally as the owner is different than if it was one of my employees. Default answer: If you get a call for a leak, go look at it. As you do it longer you will be able to improve your questioning skills to better understand the situation. If it is at all a question, go look at it There are some qualification questions you could ask BUT... keep in mind that most homeowners don't even know if it is wet or not. They may or may not have a reasonable idea about the damage. I can make a video on this... if you have more questions, text me 615 685 2128
Hi Shane, I plan to get licensed but don't have a truck, should I get an sba loan? Can I rent the equipment I need to start? Do insurance companies really pay $5500 for just water jobs?

Re: your first job.. that depends on what you do already and where you are on your journey. Do you already know HOW to dry a property? Some people don't have gear or training... I'd need to assume that you already know how and have or can get some gear for the job As to HOW do you get your first job... that depends. If you want storm work, go there and work as a subcontractor or partner up with other restoration companies there to learn the ropes... but be careful who you are learning from... you don't want to pick up bad habits or learn from an idiot (both are possible)
