Never wanted someone to win a competition more than this young lady. She KILLED every look she did. Well deserved.

Ophelia was amazing. She was on different level compared to rest of her competitors.
I was rooting for her so hard she was clearly the shining star like omg. But I loved everyone honestly but Ophelia just hit different!
This season is better than the other. The first was fine, but the whole "Nikki still on" made me nuts. Here, every person was in the place they deserved (except Jake, he should have been the fisrt one to go, but well). The final 4 were soooo good.

The clear thing is, she is at her own level, which make her special at her own way.. By d way, idore her art.. Im mlaysia makeup artist.. Really want to be like her.

There’s a difference between racism and using colors as ART because that’s what she’s portraying,,, ALL colors are valid and this work of hers has nothing to do with racism

And I mean, painting your face black doesn't mean you're trying to imitate black people's skin or smth like that, they don't own the black color
There's a huge difference between using black paint makeup for the effect she was going for, and black makeup for blackface. She isn't racist aha. People need to chill tf out

I don't usually watch competitive reality shows like this, RuPaul, Big Brother, Cake Boss, but Ophelia kept my attention. Ding-Dong O, She truly rocked!!!!
This is not blackface. The black here represents night not ethnicity. It doesnt use a stereotype. Grow up people.
The fact the judges used a simple "I've never seen Pokémon" comment and overreacted, shows just how much better Ophelia really was. They had to really reach to find ANYTHING wrong with her. Ophelia was/is the most talented out of all 3 seasons. Close 2nd is Sophie.
If the problem is that she refused her assignment because she didn’t like it, then refused to acknowledge and process feedbacks and criticisms then it would be different. But Ophelia did NONE OF THAT. She did express that she was taken aback by the Pokémon assignment and was not fond of it, but guess what, she CRUSHED it anyway, and she took all criticisms about her attitude (which was really not bad anyway) GRACEFULLY and said she will be more mindful. The guest judge should probably work on HER attitude imo.
@@masodemic4509 that pokemon look was actually the winner for me for that challenge tbh but they had to use that negativity excuse as if it isn't normal for some people to have
@@kingspawn1402 For me, it was better than the Cabaret look. The Cabaret look is STUNNING, don't get me wrong, and Eve did a great job. But there's not a lot of difference from what the characters actually look like in the film. That's exactly what Sally Bowles looks like, that's exactly what Emcee looks like, the brief didn't require her to be extra imaginative about it. But Ophelia not only painted on a face that is immediately associated with Pikachu, she made it pretty with the eye makeup, not only that, she included a visual symbol of Pikachu's power - the lightning - AND she incorporated that into Satoshi's makeup too. She went above and beyond for such an unusual brief. (but also Pikachu and Satoshi is SUCH a weird choice for a partner dance who even thought of that XD)
She was the only one who didn't go into the face off before the finals which really says much about her skills

The Pokemon thing is so dumb. All Ophelia said is that she didn't like Pokemon. That woman is a hypocrite calls Ophelia unprofessional while bi%!# because Ophelia just said she doesn't like it. By this old bats idea of good work environment is for no one to dislike anything she dictates what everyone's opinion is.

Yeah she def overreacted but I do see her point somewhat. Imagine you wanted a custom wedding cake and the cake designer commented that they hated designing wedding cakes... but true, she exaggerated the "issue"
Same with the male judge saying that Bernie was """unprofessional and rude""" by saying the model had another type of skin (she had acne). BTW, Bernie said that in the most polite way EVER.

Ikr right the the guest judge lady for the dance ball live thingy all ophelia saod was she didnt like pokemon and you could see she was a bit racist and was picking a side and said how pretty eve's was. Luckily val the judge said how pretty ophelia's glitter art was.

First time I saw Ophelia I knew she was going to be my favourite. While James was a great surprise too, Ophelia is just...superb!
She really shock me.The best competitor by far in my opinion. From all seasons I think she was unique and the only one who really was in another level.
She was so consistent all the way through and was on a different level to all the others so she fully deserved to win.

Ophelia is my favorite MUA and winner. Second is Sophie. Belinda got robbed but she's also my favorite. I think the. 3 of them are just on ahigher caliber in terms of artistry.

Season 2 are the best compare to season 1, which was obviously BIAS, they obviously want Nikki to be in top 3. Which she don’t deserved at all. Completely ridiculous,. I hope this show flop.
Yeah that's what I thought too. As soon as I saw all of the competitors looks I right away knew that Season 2 MUAS are really better than Season 1
I was so pissed that they "killed" Mats (hope that was his name) chances even though he delivered. I would've loved to see more from him because of his style. But we got Ophelia and Hannah to Show some Gothic/Emo/Gore Makeup

Not that it matters in the least to those who wish to think someone is racist, but I think I know the origin of the racist label that gets attached to Ophelia and this look. When she's explaining the paint she's using, she says, "This is black face paint." As in a face paint that is colored black. But with her accent, black and face run together and sounds like blackface, as in stereotypically using blackface to mock or ridicule a different race. Or she may call it blackface paint simply because it is black face paint. Also, no one called her racist when she painted most of her own face black in the first episode.

Is this from a show? A movie? Beautiful artwork! Can somebody please let me know what this makeup artist is doing her makeup for? Oh and BTW people are going to say racist things because they're very small minded! I'm So OVER racism! it shouldn't even be an issue anymore! We are all people. What is so hard to understand about that? Racism only exists because we make it exist. We can make it not exist also! Just be a good person! Honestly I am so sick and tired of having to even refer to people as their color of their skin. They are people that's it! If you are darker in skin tone and American. You're just an American. If you're from France and you have a darker skin color. You're a French person. That's all.. racism only exists as a tool to control the masses!

It’s a BBC3 program where amateur makeup artists compete with two looks each week to eventually win a contract as a professional makeup artist. This look was ‘superhero week’ and she was trying to make the model seem invisibile.

So the white isn’t transparent per-say but the way she painted it gives the white a sort of sheerness that a normal veil has

she’s not using black paint for the intention of imitating a black person, in this case it’s no different than painting a canvas portrait black and then drawing on it
