To be honest I do think that a series based on the turtle’s growth from inexperienced rookies to highly skilled ninja would only take 1 to 2 seasons. When Rise first was first revealed I had high hopes that it would be the next big TMNT series and a great successor to 2012 both in action, comedy, seriousness and story and it was. I think that it was wrong of Nickelodeon to cut season 2 short and I think that they should of waited until it got its last 22 episodes so that at least most of the story of a season 3 planned show was mostly done. Another thing about the Playmates toys, I was so excited to see which basic figures, role playsets and other things that they would release each year and was really disappointed to find out that they’ve ended the line last year. I understand why they’ve done it but still I feel like they should of done a few more toys for the show even though it looked like it was wrapping up. Well anyway we might get toys for the movie this year with having all four of the turtles, Splinter and April as either repaints/remoulds of their 2018 releases while Baron Draxum gets a new mould, Cassandra “Casey” Jones gets a new toy and the same for the unknown future figure and the main villain. If the movie does well I do hope that season 3 will happen and if doesn’t then I’ll be able to say that this series was probably one of the most surprising and exciting TMNT show I’ve watched.
You know what I blame for ROTMNT being cancelled? The Nick executives seem to screw over any show that doesn't instantly become as huge as Spongebob. They seem to have these impossibly high standards that they hold every new show to.
The sad thing about it is that it was initially rating 800k-1.1 million viewers per episode, that's not far of from the Loud House's ratings at the time (1-1.3 Million). But then they gave up and stopped promoting it, leading to lower ratings. Nick could've had a hit, but 😒.
They should honestly just end shows that are way past their prime and make way for new shows. Have some fresh content instead of the overused ones!!! Nick needs new openminded executives tbh
I will never forgive them for depriving us of more Raph focused episodes and the Turtle tots. NEVER! ... unless maybe the series gets picked up again. BUT THAT IS ONLY A MAYBE!
We can only prey Netflix realizes the gold this series is and picks it up to renew it. Also I think the two foot leaders were destined to turn into bebop and rocksteady

I hope so too, I do expect it to at least get something else after the movie like a third comic series by IDW or a game for the main stream consoles. the fact we were robbed of a Mikey centered EPISODE WITH ALL THE BABIES WERE CUT AUGH IT WOULDA BEEN SO CUTE. I hope that when this show comes back for a third season (manifesting) that they do a flashback type thing with some of the cut eps, maybe having the episodes taking place between the end of s2 and movie.

At least we got it confirmed that April was 11 when she met the guys, so that means she's known them for 7 years. I was literally going insane not knowing any context to their relationship. But man, didn't they do this show dirty. Their is so much missing context from the series, and now I know why. There's like 20 missing episodes that added so much more depth to the world building/characters that we would be raving over, but instead we're stuck with 39 episodes sitting on our knees begging Nickelodeon for an announcement on season 3. I just can't believe this.
I wish they wouldn’t end the show after the movie, and make those episodes. Especially the one with how April met the turtles, that would be amazing! But oh well.

I think it would have been interesting if the fifth missing turtle was based on Kirby, who is a fifth turtle that was created but never got used. Making him an actual missing fifth turtle. As for some for some background about Kirby.... Remember the original live action TMNT movies from the 1990s? Well there were supposed to be more than three of them. There was a fourth movie (either to be called TMNT: The Next Mutation or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: The Foot Walks Again) in the works, and a fifth turtle was created for it. Said fifth turtle was named Kirby (named after comic book artist Jack Kirby). But the fourth movie was canceled, and as such, Kirby (the fifth turtle) never got used. Though they did try to use Kirby as a fifth turtle in Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation, but the production company, Saban Entertainment, wouldn't produce that series unless a female turtle was added to the character line-up. (And that's how we got Venus De Milo.) So once again, Kirby didn't get used and was shoved way back on the backburner.
My bet is Venus de Milo. They had that random episode that revealed she really liked art so it would make sense that she named the one she got after a statue. The 6th one they mentioned would be found in a different dimension & that seems like a reference to Kirby, the 5th brother from the canceled 4th 90's live action film.
I heard that in the twitch stream from the show creators that they were originally going to have Draxum reveal at the end of season 2 that the turtles had two sisters, Venus and Jennika. Season 3 would’ve revolved around the turtles going on a journey to find and reunite with their sisters. I would’ve liked to see their take on the two of them, as I heard Venus’s story was a huge flop according to the fan base, while Jennika became a fan favorite.
It’s sad because it had the potential for more seasons and episodes and they had story’s plans but were definitely forced to rush but they did amazing even if it was rushed. But excited for the movie.

It’s a shame that they got scrapped due to potential behind the scenes stuff and other things involving ratings and toy sales. Maybe if the Netflix movie does well enough Rise of the TMNT would get another chance. But the chances of that are rather slim at the moment due to a good amount of the TMNT fandom (and some animation fans in general) dismissing this show. A part of me expected they were gonna do more episodes with Karai after hearing the news about certain episodes getting scrapped. And that lost Turtle story looks pretty interesting, especially with it looking like it kind of made it into the show. I guess now we just have to wait and see how the Netflix movie will do. And nice job explaining the revealed scrapped episodes so far here. (PS: The Uganda Knuckles henchmen in those cut storyboards were pretty weird for me, even after seeing that episode with the memes for some reason.)
What's truly annoying is that comics aren't an option to finish off the rest of the material, even though they could always make them non-canon with a new season.
The synopsis for that Toddler Mutant Ninja Turtles episode reminds me of that Adventures in Turtle Sitting episode from the 1987 cartoon. Because Leo, Raph, and Donnie were also regressed to turtle tots in that episode

My guess on what should happen in a future season in the event that they will continue Rise at Netflix after the movie: Leatherhead makes his debut in the show, and so will the Mighty Mutanimals (possibly with the show's version of Jagwar, Dreadmon, Mondo Gecko, Ray Fillet, Wingnut, Screwloose, Slash, and Pigeon Pete as members). Bebop and Rocksteady will return, and the Foot Clan will also be revealed to have created mutant lackeys to work for them (including Rise's take on Tokka, Rahzar, Bludgeon, and Koya). More character development for Cassandra Jones. Renet and Savanti Romero make their debut for a time-traveling story arc. The Punk Frogs will return as a rival group to the Turtles. The Fugitoid makes his appearance in Rise of the TMNT. Mayhem will get development, a character expansion, AND the ability to talk. More expansion on the Hidden City's lore. The Triceratons, Lord Dregg, and Armaggon will return and become villains for another story arc. Since the Krang will make their debut, they should re-introduce Dimension X and the Stone Soldiers (my guess is that the Stone Soldiers will be golems). Baxter Stockboy will be turned into a fly (my guess is that he will be bitten by an Oozesquito after he swatted a fly when he was doing some errands).

Don’t know if this is new news or not but the creator says it’s not cancelled, just paused, likely so they can focus for the movie. So don’t give up hope.
I would REALLY like to see the raph episode where he got stuck on his mystic form, but even if there was a 3rd season, it would probably be too late for that (I mean, it seems he already mastered a big part of it, would be cooler to see it when he was still a begginer). But oh well, such great ideas thatll never be, it makes me sad :/ at least we have the actual released series that's already great!
I have hope that SOMETHING will happen! Recently, the Nickelodeon Cartoon Universe channel has been uploading some new ROTTMNT shorts that have come out THIS MONTH. Even if they could be old (as in made before the hard pause and/or planned), I feel that if Nick wanted to get rid of ROTTMNT COMPLETELY, we would not be getting those shorts. So, I believe there is hope!

So spoilers: Casey Jones is actually a Jr. As in Cassandra/Cassie's future SON in that timeline. Weird at first until you remember that in The Last Ronin story Casey and April had a daughter named after Casey. That and Casey's full name is Arnold Casey Jones Jr. So they just swapped details and stuff. So Cassandra should still be the main Casey in the Rise universe. And I'm confusing myself lmao Also they have Cassandra doing the GOONGALA pose in one of the photos
12:05 Actually I asked about Big Mama's assistant in a stream with Andy before, and I recall he mentioned there were gonna be SIX turtles in total. In season 3 Big Mama reveals the assistant is the sister, and the brother, who is in all black and supposed to be the "lost turtle" is a sort of mercenary in a different dimension. Draxum would then take half the team ? to explore all these different dimensions to try and save/find him, and he says "and fight this other uh..." but stopped as the other people on the stream started talking so theres a possibility that theres gonna be more villains! He also mentions it wasn't gonna be Venice or Jennika and was gonna be a new thing? Cause he said Ant was like "absolutely not Venice" lol I've recorded the entire segment thankfully! The cancellation of the show is a rumor and Nick hasn't officially stated that they did cancel it. The creators stated that it was a far more complicated issue than a cancellation, the production in entirely needed a full rework. The TMNT movie had the most amount of tampering of the Netflix Nick movies solely because they wanted to get casual audiences into the show in the first place.
Hey Leonardo 2003, I have been watching this channel for a while now. I am coming back to RUclips and I am also a guy who is a fan of TMNT. Still got to see 2003 to compare to the 2012. Also I don't think we will get a trailer any time soon because most things on Netflix don't have a trailer until their is like a 1 month or a few weeks until it comes out on it's release date, but I could be wrong.
It would be really awesome to hear about tmnt back to the sewers video maybe one about a fan theory feom the first episode of when splinter and the turtles encounter the war between the utron shredder , tengu shredder, and cyber shredder and how they were able to return and the fall of the turtles defeat by Master Khan who mentioned it .
I started watching the tmnt cartoons thanks to mutant mayhem and finished rise and honestly I didn’t feel like anything was rushed, honestly hearing about that is shocking.

I never really watched Rise, and I'll probably just watch reviews on the movie. It took too many liberties for my taste, I prefer my TMNT shows to be more classic, but some of this stuff sounds pretty cool.
I wish it were true but I've only ever seen one website *implying* that season 3 would come out in 2023, and quite frankly it doesn't have any proof. 😕

Does anybody else think the 5th turtle could've been a re-worked Slash,Jennika or Venus De Milo? I'd have loved to have seen their take on Slash.

Rise of the TMNT should've been on Netflix from the start

In hindsight, the 2 part key episodes were probably the Krang plotline that they eventually used for the movie.

I have hope that SOMETHING will happen! Recently, the Nickelodeon Cartoon Universe channel has been uploading some new ROTTMNT shorts that have come out THIS MONTH. Even if they could be old (as in made before the hard pause and/or planned), I feel that if Nick wanted to get rid of ROTTMNT COMPLETELY, we would not be getting those shorts. So, I believe there is hope!

So spoilers: Casey Jones is actually a Jr. As in Cassandra/Cassie's future SON in that timeline. Weird at first until you remember that in The Last Ronin story Casey and April had a daughter named after Casey. That and Casey's full name is Arnold Casey Jones Jr. So they just swapped details and stuff. So Cassandra should still be the main Casey in the Rise universe. And I'm confusing myself lmao

12:05 Actually I asked about Big Mama's assistant in a stream with Andy before, and I recall he mentioned there were gonna be SIX turtles in total. In season 3 Big Mama reveals the assistant is the sister, and the brother, who is in all black and supposed to be the "lost turtle" is a sort of mercenary in a different dimension. Draxum would then take half the team ? to explore all these different dimensions to try and save/find him, and he says "and fight this other uh..." but stopped as the other people on the stream started talking so theres a possibility that theres gonna be more villains!
He also mentions it wasn't gonna be Venice or Jennika and was gonna be a new thing? Cause he said Ant was like "absolutely not Venice" lol

@@frost73 Google doesn't know everything (why do you trust it when it's barely official information?). The cancellation of the show is a rumor and Nick hasn't officially stated that they did cancel it. The creators stated that it was a far more complicated issue than a cancellation, the production in entirely needed a full rework. The TMNT movie had the most amount of tampering of the Netflix Nick movies solely because they wanted to get casual audiences into the show in the first place.

Hey Leonardo 2003, I have been watching this channel for a while now. I am coming back to RUclips and I am also a guy who is a fan of TMNT. Still got to see 2003 to compare to the 2012.
Also I don't think we will get a trailer any time soon because most things on Netflix don't have a trailer until their is like a 1 month or a few weeks until it comes out on it's release date, but I could be wrong.

Leonardo 2003, since August 2021, the upcoming new cartoon movie, "Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the movie" will come out on Netflix in Spring 2022 according to Nickelodeon Wikia. Last year, it didn't premiere, due to the production not being complete 🚫, they put the movie on hold for this year, 2022.

I never really watched Rise, and I'll probably just watch reviews on the movie. It took too many liberties for my taste, I prefer my TMNT shows to be more classic, but some of this stuff sounds pretty cool.
