Living a holy life is not “works” as defined by some. It is bearing the fruit of the Spirit, operating in the gifts of the Spirit, and “pursuing holiness, without which none shall see God.” If it wasn’t possible to pursue Holiness (live a holy life), the word wouldn’t tell us to do so. Also If not possible for us to “continue in the faith” as instructed in Colossians then the word would not tell us to do so. The New Testament is absolutely packed with instructions for believers, all described by the use of verbs, action words, therefore, this is not attempting to work your way to heaven as some think, it is simply believers doing as instructed by the Bible and conducting themselves according to the word. Only Jesus blood saves us but if we are saved we will actively follow His instructions. Jesus said, “Why call me Lord but do not do the things that l say?” That indicates that if you’re not following the instructions for living as a believer then you shouldn’t say He is the Lord of your life because He obviously is not. There are also many scriptures which indicate that some ppl start out believing but for various reasons, later they fall away. There are many scriptures talking about that too. James 2:18 New King James Version 18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without [a]your works, and I will show you my faith by [b]my works (behavior and actions as instructed by the word. The works condemned by the word are things ppl attempt to do to earn salvation, like burning candles, rubbing beads, confessing sins to a priest or Mary instead of Jesus, bowing towards Mecca 5 times a day, forcing others to believe your way or be killed as an infidel, or physical deprivations or self punishments in order to earn favor with God. Pursuing Holiness does not mean performing outward manmade rituals or habits that make a person feel good about themselves but serves absolutely zero purpose for furthering the gospel or reflecting Christ.
Hello, I commented on this video earlier. I'm very interested in your view as I mentioned I thought I had fallen away, shipwrecked my faith, didn't remain in Christ and was as a branch to be withered away and burned. I thought I was doomed to hell over the past few years. I'm recently 32 years old. I've slowly been making my way back to a normal spiritual, wholesome state, by miracle. It's as if my heart was disconnected God and I was not a normal human being. I've met others with many bizarre testimonies as well from all over the world. What my question is, is would you find yourself as either in the Arminian or Calvanist camp? I guess not Calvanist but I'm curious if you'd regard one of the titles? two of my favorite preachers teach that you can't lose your salvation, but I believe that you can. Thier explanation is that you never were saved in the first place. It is written "they went out from us, for they were not of us, for if they were of us, they would have remained with us. I know most of these verses, but I have written them down and I will study them.

It’s a fruit of salvation that even in the midst of backsliding, we come to our senses and realise our guilt/mistakes and run back to God every time or if we don’t come to our senses God himself will find us again after going astray. I think if we never knew God we would never even be able to be drawn back to him. He’s the one who does all the drawing. We can’t even desire him without him pulling our hearts. Also how can anyone truly deny someone they know? They can’t, if I know Jesus, then it’s impossible for me to deny him and that also plays out in the fruit in my life.

When Jesus says I never knew you, this is an example of Him denying the ones who denied him by their fruits. God’s grace is far above any of the sins we may commit. God knew ALL THE SIN that ever would be committed. He paid for all of it with His precious blood. I’m His. I may slip and slide but I believe in His finished work. I’m not saved until I fail or am weak. I’m saved forever by His sacrifice. Hebrews is the old Testament. The new covenant that is Jesus closes the book on Old Testament. Reading verses is not how the bible was intended to be read. Read the entire book not individual verses. NOW. Jesus says if you don't know him you will not be with him. Jesus is our Savior.
As far as bible proof goes, 1 John 3:9 is the only verse needed to prove OSAS. There is not a loss of salvationist on the planet that can defeat it's logic. You can no more be unborn of God's seed than you can be unborn of your daddy's seed.

Living a holy life is not “works” as defined by some. It is bearing the fruit of the Spirit, operating in the gifts of the Spirit, and “pursuing holiness, without which none shall see God.”
If it wasn’t possible to pursue Holiness (live a holy life), the word wouldn’t tell us to do so.
Also If not possible for us to “continue in the faith” as instructed in Colossians then the word would not tell us to do so. The New Testament is absolutely packed with instructions for believers, all described by the use of verbs, action words, therefore, this is not attempting to work your way to heaven as some think, it is simply believers doing as instructed by the Bible and conducting themselves according to the word. Only Jesus blood saves us but if we are saved we will actively follow His instructions. Jesus said, “Why call me Lord but do not do the things that l say?” That indicates that if you’re not following the instructions for living as a believer then you shouldn’t say He is the Lord of your life because He obviously is not.
There are also many scriptures which indicate that some ppl start out believing but for various reasons, later they fall away. There are many scriptures talking about that too.

The works condemned by the word are things ppl attempt to do to earn salvation, like burning candles, rubbing beads, confessing sins to a priest or Mary instead of Jesus, bowing towards Mecca 5 times a day, forcing others to believe your way or be killed as an infidel, or physical deprivations or self punishments in order to earn favor with God.
Pursuing Holiness does not mean performing outward manmade rituals or habits that make a person feel good about themselves but serves absolutely zero purpose for furthering the gospel or reflecting Christ.

Hello, I commented on this video earlier. I'm very interested in your view as I mentioned I thought I had fallen away, shipwrecked my faith, didn't remain in Christ and was as a branch to be withered away and burned. I thought I was doomed to hell over the past few years. I'm recently 32 years old. I've slowly been making my way back to a normal spiritual, wholesome state, by miracle. It's as if my heart was disconnected God and I was not a normal human being. I've met others with many bizarre testimonies as well from all over the world.
What my question is, is would you find yourself as either in the Arminian or Calvanist camp? I guess not Calvanist but I'm curious if you'd regard one of the titles? It's good to hear your view on the matter. Thank you

It’s a fruit of salvation that even in the midst of backsliding, we come to our senses and realise our guilt/mistakes and run back to God every time or if we don’t come to our senses God himself will find us again after going astray. I think if we never knew God we would never even be able to be drawn back to him. He’s the one who does all the drawing. We can’t even desire him without him pulling our hearts. Also how can anyone truly deny someone they know? They can’t, if I know Jesus, then it’s impossible for me to deny him and that also plays out in the fruit in my life.

When Jesus says I never knew you, this is an example of Him denying the ones who denied him by their fruits.

@@jameswelch0448 Actually sin as defined by the bible does not exist. Sin is just a concept and power word invented by man for the purpose of religion. Same thing goes with the word holiness. Useful words but in reality, they don't exist.
