    66 yo starting to see droopy arm & leg skin convert to firm/toned from lifting. I used to focus primarily on cardio but now I see the weights advantage. I still walk after lifting & get my steps & YT nutrition knowledge in each day and hope that this exercise helps keep me out of the assisted care facility down the line.

    Falling in love with the process 💯
    i began my fitness/nutrition journey to lose that 'baby weight' at age 30..15 years later i do it every day because i'm just hooked on feeling awesome. It's a win-win (win)❤❤❤

    Great interview. She's so open and honest, very well spoken and focuses on the essentials. I've been having success just doing two exercises per session, 30 minutes a day, every other day. I go as hard and heavy as I can and keep going until I can't anymore, reducing the weight to try to get 5 reps in each set, making sure I try to push past the burn when you're running out of gas a little bit each time. For me, just having two exercises to go all in on simplifies it and makes it more fun. Like she said ,its so important to have that intensity. Its not about X amount of exercises or X amount of time, its going til failure and making sure each set you give your all. Makes all the difference.

    • @erinvz3270
      @erinvz3270 10 месяцев назад +5

      You’ve got me curious. What are the two exercises (or do these change per day)? I really want to Simplify my lifting.

    • @thepunisherxxx6804
      @thepunisherxxx6804 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@erinvz3270Its usually 2 unique exercises per day, I try to hit all the key muscle groups on the body throughout the week. One day might be shoulder pulldowns and incline bench, another bicep curls, tricep pushdowns, one day squats and chest flys...
      There is no defined schedule or pattern beyond trying to vary through the week. I go as hard as I can until failure and keep lowering the weight doing 8-10 sets total, with as many reps as possible starting at heaviest weight and going down, making sure I feel the burn every set before I stop.
      30 mins a day, 3-4 days a week and just walk/light jog on off days. Try to keep my calories below 2500 (Male), high protein, low sugar, low carb, tons of water.
      I have been weight training on and off for 15+ years and this method has given me the best results on how I look and feel. Its less intimidating to start and keep it up, less planning in your head, you can just focus on a couple things. I also forgive myself if I am only in the gym for 15 mins sometimes too. Just getting it in even for 10-15 mins makes a difference IMO.
      Just my approach, I know everyone is different and this might not work for anyone but just doing this for so long this has been the easiest best way for me to keep doing it consistently and get good results too. I feel like a lot of people overstate how long you have to be in the gym. Its like its their whole life. Exercise is a means to an end, not the goal of life IMO. These people doing it 1-2 hours DAILY are silly. I have other productive things I want to do in my day, and exercise gives me the energy to pursue those other goals.

    If time is at a premium when it comes to training... try these,
    Dip with squats
    or
    Chest press,
    Leg press,
    Lat pulldown.
    And if that is even too much,
    All out sprinting for 3 bout.
    ....
    Tara's experience about doing OMAD and not getting hungry is something I can attest to, even when having worked out.

    She looks familiar; if people would regulate their intensity they would make more progress more often and recover much better more often. Some days I will stick to RPE8, some days I will get to a 7. It's rare that I will go to 10 because I'm the kind of guy that would would rather be ready to go for anything and everything every single day. Imagine being a Roman soldier you pushed your squat or sprint or farmers carry too hard and now you're useless the next day, you would get in trouble for that which is why I think 8 is the best range; 9 is useful as also is 7

      The real issue is you, clearly have some personal problems, possibly a mixture of self loathing that leads you to disdain/jealousy of others in positions or stages of fitness you yearn to be in yourself. Either way she was fine and you unequivocally have some personal problems it would behoove you to work on.

Notice that in the photo on the left, you do not get a full view of at least one hand. Are these two the same woman? To me, upon close inspection, they look like they are different women, and the difference in how they are wearing their hair and the difference in their clothes do not seem to account for the differences in their facial characteristics. Reverse her body back to when she wasn’t as healthy and she would give 2 SSs.
    I agree we need to learn to love and be kind to ourselves- but I hear too many trainers say “You aren’t your body! You are enough. It’s not about your body image”
    Our unhealthy body composition DOES impact our self image and confidence.
    We should give a S about how we look to find what’s happening internally and make the changes for achieving a healthier and better body composition.
