Thanks for sharing Guys, the chanting at otogar was for a guy going to do his Military service. Its a chanting of praise for the guy. Love your videos. keep it coming :D i just discovered your channel last week and been enjoying them. Cheers and Thank you again.
I went to Denizli to cancel my school enrollment today from Izmir. About 5 hours of train ride, 1.5 hour bus rides total with 950ml of drink. Denizli was hot like hell. When I got to my grandparents here at 16.30, I started to drink water and still drinking. I can't imagine to travel like you. Good luck.
I do love the whole "get lost and figure it out" adventure. Seems to me you two make a great pair...no loss of composure and just making it all work together! I'm excited to see the new adventure!
Again a good reason to use Airbnb 😉. I'm looking forward to your experience with the worldwide data sim. Planning to buy one ourselves so your review would be helpful.
My goodness. All the twists and turns you guys have to navigate, shown here and in other vlogs, make it even easier for us to root for you. I was on the edge of my seat again watching this! Sorry for the customs fiasco, I hope it's resolved somehow! Glad you made it to the new accommodations :)
this celebration with flags must be "asker uğurlaması" which is a celebration of people sending their child or friend to military service. its a tradition.
The guys with the flag on their back, they are sending one of their family person to military, its a tradition of turkey :),you know in turkey we have compulsory military service. 7:48 they are saying "en büyük asker bizim asker / the biggest soldier is our soldier" :)
They are bidding farewell to one of their relatives and/or friends, while he is joining the army. This is a custom in Turkey. By the way, I'm from Ankara.
those people that were chanting(the ones that had flags n stuff) are doing a "send-off ceremony". when someone is joining the military, we celebrate it and it's usually very loud lol :)
Those tomatoes were amazing! What a pain re the SIM! As always you guys keep the best smiles on your faces during these travel days. Very late here but so glad we got to see one video. We need a WAY AWAY marathon to catch up on what we've missed over the last week! - Thomas and Sheena x
The shouting that you guys witness is a kind of interesting ceremony or tradition to give farewell your friend to the military obligation :) They usually shout and make a hell of a noise in the streets before their friend is gone to military duty
Love ur videos. Next time when u go to Turkey u hv to visit Antalya, I thought that u hv visited but when I saw the whole playlist I found that u didn't but u hv to go there, it's amazing it has lots of waterfalls and each one is mesmerising than the other. I love Turkey I lived there for 3 years and I wish I stayed there.
The guy who has a Turkey Flag on his tshirt in the Ankara Bus Station was going to army for becoming a soldier :) his bestfriend or maybe his brother carry on shoulder because he is going to defence our country and its so proud :) thats why they were screaming like "en büyük asker bizim asker" means like " strongest(biggest) soldier is our soldier " :) its like a celebration and sendoff for all turkish boy who is 20 years old . You didnt see that his friends throw into the air and keep him several times :)
Hey Guys, Hope you liked "Ankara Ankara Guzel Ankara". There are perhaps two places to visit "Ankara Castle" (Ankara Kalesi) and "Ataturk's Mausoleum" (Anitkabir).
When we shipped our PC from the US to The Netherlands they made us pay like 200 Euros to receive our computer. If we didn't pay it then they were going to ship it back to the US 😑 We ended up explaining to them that we've had the PC for years and we moved from the US and couldn't take it on the plane so we had to ship it but they wouldn't give us a refund. We were so mad haha.
i always watches your new videos and i am very appreciate you guys. Even i have my own internet connection, its very hard to upload videos. But while you are completly strange in here you can edit new videos and upload 1080p videos. I know in turkey that is very hard to find a good internet connection but you did it. I love your works and i hope you two always be happy. Sorry for my bad england :DDD
finally a new video guys 😍😍 you can't imagine how many times i refreshed your channel to check you uploaded a new video or not 😂😂😂 title of video seems something bad happened hope everything is OK anyway I'm watching it byeee 🙋🏻 4:22 when you buy something from abroad in Turkey for more than 20 euro you need to give some tax for shipping, I think this paper is about it 7:46 they are sending their friend to military service and the translation of the thing they said is; the biggest (meaning best) soldier is ours 😂

This was not so bad after all. I'm amazed how well you guys navigate. Don't they sell those sim cards in Turkey? As for your experience with the customs, it's very common. Ankara is a boring town and I hope it's all worth it. Black Sea area is so different, you would be amazed that there are places like that in Turkey. Try Trabzon and Rize. Then you're near the Georgia and Azerbaijan border.
I just got back to Ankara from my travel and saw this. I can't believe I missed the meet up. But I hope you had a great time here. I know there is not much to see and you may be bored after all the places you visited. But it's pretty convinient place to live here. Not crowded as İstanbul. I hope you visited Anıtkabir, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's Tomb. It's a must to see here. Anyways I hope you luck with your travels. Love your videos, keep smiling :)
Those people with Turkish flags and dancing probably were sending their relatives to army Josh. Oh yes saw that scene now just as I guess, they say " our soldier is the greatest one" to motivate their kids, friends and relatives do that.
I thought you will go to southern turkey which so many things to see like "Bodrum marmaris Fethiye". My opinion you have chosen wrong direction... good luck guys
Too bad you didn't find a way to go to Ankara by train. The overnight trip has a comfortable sleeper carriage. It would travel all night and reach your destination around 6 in the morning. At least, that's how it used to be.
They 'll send the package back via sea that 'll take about 2 months. You shouldn't have stated the value of the merchandise, they operate totally stupid. I sent a camera to mom in Izmir from the US, it bounced back from customs and I got the package back. I sent it again, without claiming the value or adding an insurance. It went through the second time. I love your videos, especially the ones about TR. Izmir is my hometown, I immigrated to the US 15 years ago. I am kind of afraid of visiting there. Don't feel safe no more. Be safe. Where y'all from?
Those young's (with Turkish flag) they are going to millitary service for 12 month. This is like a traditions. 7:46 A military launch. Such celebrations are made in the Turkish tradition when the person goes to the military.
Oh, that was sad. I thought they organize a meeting at Ankara.
Ahmet, sana buluşmaya gitmeni önermiştim. Gittin mi?
niye spoiler veriyosun :D
bize güzel vakit geçirdiklerini söylendiği gibi kötü olmadığını söylediler çok falza kalıncak bir yer olmadıklarını düşünüyolar o kadar

We recently had a bad experience with a late hotel check in and this Air BnB was WAAAAYYYY better. Oh man, Air BnB is the way to go. /J
07:50 it is a farewell tradition when someone leaves for compulsory military duty for 5/12 months.
My goodness. All the twists and turns you guys have to navigate, shown here and in other vlogs, make it even easier for us to root for you. I was on the edge of my seat again watching this! Sorry for the customs fiasco, I hope it's resolved somehow! Glad you made it to the new accommodations :)
Thanks Scott! I tried to film it all while running around. :p /J

After sea and beaches Ankara can seem like different to you. But you can be sure there are so many good people. I finished Ankara University.
Its family and friends taking him to the bus so he goes where he will be a soldier for country. Its kinda traditional thing :)
They are bidding farewell to one of their relatives and/or friends, while he is joining the army. This is a custom in Turkey. By the way, I'm from Ankara.

Yeah they grow SO much produce here, it's amazing! Yeah, I think Turkey wasn't a good choice of country to send it to. :p /J
Go to Antalya, Turkey and stay in the historic center...you'll love it!

Ugh, I hate that kind of thing! So Annoying. They have their reasons, but it just seems unreasonable at the moment. /J

You are not responsible for customs taxes because you're not Turkish. Don't pay anything! Find someone to get help.
