its the best lancer i have ever seen and i really like you, it just would be so nice if at the end one could see the whole knight, not only the close ups, i would love to see it whole spinning there :)
I'm mentioning this from a non-existent level of authority, expertise or experience, just a place of admiration, respect & awe, been an avid fan of grim dark as a style/tone due to it's perfect juxtaposition to the box/vivid art, love your work & have been with you since inception(albeit under a different alias), soot weathering/powder to exhaust pipes/manifold=cherry on top 😉👏🤘
Phenomenal as always! Can you please tell me how you did the base? Thanks for inspiring me to get outside of my comfort zone and try some new stuff! I have even sold a few painted minis which I NEVER thought would be possible in the beginning.
Ok seriously... The painting is second to none but I noticed something else.. The video photo wok is fking brilliant too. I reported 9th to 11th century northern n European funitur. Rebuild, designs, customs, finishes and all that entails a44year history of working timber board with traditional journey , meaning no metal fastners... And I discovered that each piece gain or loses design element and details as you approach the price from all angles...I learned this manner of presentation by closing profound, and subtle lighting at various angles to show texture, symetry, volume, weight, ANd functionality. You are almost there with mini lighting...the trick I burnt was set it like imagine then flip it up side doe to see if I still carries the elements I wish toshow.. Often I achieve this by using more I r less lighting than I had planned and in some casa moving the less but further away if incandescent or closer if low lumen led.
Just found this video and am absolutely in love with that green tone you managed to create. Sadly I'm without an airbrush, but do you think it might be possible to recreate that tone with brushes and if so what colors would you recommend? Terradon Contrast -> ??? -> Sybarite? I feel the Sons of Horus green would be a bit too blueish... any idea what to substitute the light green air-color with? thanks so much
Fab!! I would use the stipple/ drybrush method i teach in some videos (blood angels). To get close to this i would recommend sybarite green. Also maybe a mid tone of kabalite green.
@@TheFeralPainter Good to know. I'm wanting to get one and just looking for opinions. Sorry to be a pain but could you please state which one of Amazon? Many thanks :)
Congrats on winning the Grimdark Compendium contest
Did I???

Really nice paint job, could you please tell me the name of the color used for all the armor panel (green) thanks!
I believe base sons of horus green followed by siberite green.
Very good tutorial, which brand of liquid mask do you use ?
Vallejo x
Hey am super interested in that liquid paint mask you used in the video. Any chance you could send a link to that?

@@TheFeralPainter thanks so much. this will make life so much easier
How would you go about an icy purple/blue grimdark scheme?
Just use the coulors. I usually use a dark medium and highlight. For purple sigvald burgundy is great base
