You my friends just don't want to admit that everyone else got better at the game too, Leo is still phenomenal, watching his Joker is always a joy but other people has drastically improved too. Glutto for example, has had one of his best years in Ultimate and it's been after all the Wario nerfs. This way of Leo of taking Ultimate is the best thing because if he stops enjoying the game he'll stop playing and there's no other Joker and persona like him out there.

I think the problem is that MKLeo doesn’t have the competitive killer instinct that someone like sparg0 has. MKLeo is effortlessly talented and that’s why I think he’s the goat. Talent over results in my opinion.
I’ve nothing to back this up but Leo’s period of dominance helped the smash scene like no other. He may not be as amazing as he once was, but unlike all the others he was once undisputedly the best and I don’t think anybody can honestly give any other player that title right now. Also I wish he would play more byleth even if he loses. His byleth was the most creative and fun to watch. Aegis and joker feel like they just do the same things over and over.

his problem joker is really hard to autopilot without arsene, also byleth is just a mid tier so it's hard to be consistent not to mention the more defensive meta hurts a lot of characters he plays and the competition is just getting better.
