I look forward to your videos and enjoy watching them. thank you for sharing your experience. please keep sharing them !
Thanks for watching hun! If you live in the Petionville area you’ll have a very similar lifestyle to the States. That’s where I lived before moving to Okap. You’ll find literally everything there! Spas, luxury salons, all types of restaurants, supermarkets, etc. But once you leave the West Department, the other cities don’t have that vibe.
😊 Hi Rutty, I REALLY enjoyed this vlog you're such an educator HAITI is BLESSED to have you. You love your homeland and it shows up BEAUTIFUL. Thanks for sharing so much with us.
thank you for all your videos, you are part of the change that Haiti needs. I was in Haiti at the end of January and beginning of February with a friend. as a young Haitian born in Canada I found the city of Au cap to be a city with great tourist potential which could create a lot of work for the inhabitants and the young people.. also we absolutely need to help (we djaspora) the small cleaning companies in the city to solve this pollution problem!
There are some companies trying to solve the waste issue, but I don’t think it’ll work unless they partner with the government. This is something that needs to be done on a large scale.
Hi Rutty, for this program, I decided not to talk about it again but I don't mind sharing my thoughts for your video. One thing to note, when you look at the sky-high tickets from Haiti to anywhere in the States for the last two years especially around the beginning of that program, and you add the cost for the work permit, the government benefited from those sponsors. This program created also so much division between family members as well. I have met and seen some Haitians sleeping in shelters once they arrived here. While I understand the sorrow and desperation of our people, I personally believe that overall, no matter what, I think just a slim minority of people can say that it worked well for them. Your video was fun to watch, keep them coming🙂
Here in Oregon, they’re well received via the Biden program or other means. Those in the program always have the family's support. Within two days of arrival they test for their drivers license, workers permit is no longer an obstacle because they realize these people will work regardless so why not give it to them so they can be properly taxed.
So i'm a first-time viewer. i'm impressed with your journey in Haiti, it take a lot to make the transition that two young couples just leave and endure the difficulties thats going on in the country. I'm aspiŕe more the ever to make that trip to Haiti. I will be watching. Bless you guys.
Hi Rutty! Thank you for answering my question. It makes total sense to me that your life is shifting and things aren’t the same as when you first moved to Haiti, where access to certain items/services was a more pressing matter for adjustment than it is now. I wish you success and happiness for your upcoming move to Plaisance!
Hey Rutty! I love you channel. You have a positive energy. Can you film a day in the life if possible please. I’d love to see what a normal day looks like for you. 😊
When I returned from my trip to Cape Haitien with a friend few weeks ago, we saw on the plane to go back to the US more than 175 Haitians who were leaving to live in the US. I was so traumatized because for me I think that US is traping those haitians. They want to empty Haiti of their population to buy our land and buy our natural wealth. They create chaos and disorder to make us flee our country. to go work hard to build their country while they take their vacation in the most beautiful places in Haiti. It is time for the Djaspora to put value on the still few safe places in Haiti in order to create economic activities to encourage people to live in Haiti in good conditions. because otherwise we will lose our nation and in a few years we will all be divided.
At the rate people have children in this country I don’t ever see our population decreasing. It’s a controversial topic, but I really wish people were more accepting of family planning. I don’t understand why people have 5/6 kids but no money😢. Then the kids have a really hard life.

Do you do everything by yourself, cleaning, cooking, laundry, errands? I know it's the norm when you live in Haiti you need to have help.
