I'm a raised non practicing Catholic. Regardless of your religion.. what happened to separation of Church and State?!?! I am agnostic. Religion has no place in politics. PERIOD.
PERIODT!!!
Exactly..amen brother!
so why did the dems bring it in???
then why was trump wrong for messing with stormie!
I am a Republican and I hope Donald Trump but if Joe Biden wins a lot of federal taxes will go to California..
Don't get me wrong I live in New York we will get tons of money from the federal government if Joe Biden wins but I'm still praying for Donald Trump cuz he cares about the entire country 18 states in the United States holds 75% of the population The other 32 states will we got screwed and half you'll probably like it. If you're living in the states under 7 million people you're going to get screwed if Joe Biden wins. And if you're from Canada Europe or China please don't respond to me cuz I could care less what you think
Seeing this video post roe is just sad. Bill is always laying out truths that ppl roll their eyes to at the time but then later see he was totally spot on. Don't ever stop Bill!
He's the reincarnate modern Nostradamus🤣🤣🤣 spooky
(Not at all spooky ..predictable.,but most of us are thick as 💩)
Let's talk about the jews
Yes. Being a religious fanatic should automatically exempt anyone from the taking a seat on the highest court in the land, where separation of church and state is supposedly one the founding priciples.
I guess it all depends of what the definition of "religious fanatic" is... For some just believing in a god is being a "religious fanatic". Separation of church and state is indeed one of the founding principles, but so it the freedom to believe and be part of a religion.
Perhaps take a look at what the French call "laïcité"
And yet if a person aspiring to public office - almost anything from librarian to president - does not spout off about how religious they are, they can forget about that job
@@jandrews6254 And that's a societal issue that US Americans should fix if they think it's a problem. Not a religious problem.
@@jandrews6254 ..And I’m sure you have evidence to support that comment?
@T C It's both. Or are you not seeing the large swath of supposedly Christian people who have sold their soul to a man who is utterly lacking in any moral character so that they can retain power and force others to follow the rules they create based on their religion? The power of the state inevitably corrupts the church, and the corrupt church in turn corrupts the government. We keep them separate to protect believers and non-believers alike so each may live by their own conscience and allow others the freedom to do the same. The problem we've had in this country is the large swath of religious fanatics who get pissy when told they're not allowed to force others to adhere to their religion and cry 'oppression' when they don't get their way. Practice your religion as you will. No one's stopping you. All they're stopping is the encoding of particular religious dogma into law, especially in areas where it serves only to infringe upon the individual rights of other people.

The closer to the front of the church someone sits, the closer you need to watch them.

Well put! They think (their) god is on their side, the end justifies the means. --- I have been trying to say this for years and could never condense it down concise enough to hold the 140 characters or less attention spans. You nailed it one sentence! The closest I came was saying when the religious right want to commit atrocities, people of faith won't follow. So they align with an anti-christ temporarily. --- still not condensed enough. Your sentence will help my brain not explode. Thanks!

@@rolandkushm.d.710 why, Religion has been a core tenet of human culture since cultures formed, and now that many young people are not religious (which is perfectly fine and their right) some have flocked to other groups of a similar vein. Look at the incels, or the people who get in flame wars over anime "ships." I'd argue that 100 years ago, they'd be taking all that anger and passion and being religious with it, since it's historically been one of the only types of communities that were so passion and belief driven. The info was well covered during the hearings and in the press. The problem is there's no way to stop ACB's confirmation short of the public swamping their Senators' office until Nov 3rd. Covid makes any such protests harder.
We also know corporate dark money shelled out $200 millions for ACB, the price of a federalist society activist judge (they are activist, despite what they claim).

Bill is a very sick person: not being unkind: I do believe his mind and soul are sick; he is deeply sad; no person who loves himself and feels secure would talk like this. Bill is a Jew: as a Jew I am embarassed by his outbursts: he feels his "world" spinning out of control so he strikes back. He was confused as a child: sent to Catholic school: mom is Jewish so he is too. Diane Feinstein: also a Jew: raised Catholic. @usernamepasswrd Agnostic Atheism. The "gnostic" part means "knowing". Agnostics don't know. "Theism" regards "belief". A "pure agnostic" says "I don't know and there's no way to know and I can't believe or disbelieve". In all honesty, we can't now know if there is anything like a "god" or not, but the evidence is against all the god claims humans have thus far made...therefore Agnostic Atheist. Bill Maher's favourite word is f..ck.
Its not surprising, - every time he says it, audience reply with laughs and applause.
The Supreme Court does NOT represent ANYONE'S voice. The SCOTUS interprets what the Legislature (which represents all of us) put into law. If they, the Congress, does not like that interpretation, then they can pass a law undoing the Supreme Court's interpretation. You and others like you need to go back to school and take civics again (or for those under 30, for the first time).
When SCOTUS interprets legislation, Congress can pass a new law. When SCOTUS interprets the Constitution, that's the final word. A constitutional amendment is required to overturn, which will never happen.
@@michaelbayer5094 Wrong. Congress can come back, repeal the law that was interpreted or if the law was found Unconstitutional they can change the wording to make it Constitutional. SCOTUS is not the final say. Tomorrow, Congress can pass a law tomorrow that overturns a law interpreted by SCOTUS. If SCOTUS makes a decision based on the Constitution, then they cannot undo that. For example, Congress cannot make all abortions illegal tomorrow, if SCOTUS said the Constitution makes abortion a right and cannot be infringed upon.
