Stephan, I like your content, but I find that in a lot of these instruction videos the opponent is on their knees. I don't think I have ever found my opponents to be in that position. I'd like to see more realistic setups. But I am just a white belt, so idk 🤷♂
It might have something to do with this video being 1:44 long. The video called “all possible options from the butterfly guard” is going to be a little longer than that.

Approaching and passing the guard really varies from school to school. Bottom line: you need answers against standing AND against kneeling opponents.
Why not go for an ankle pick. SLX great guard but why start off on your back. Stephan, you’re a big dude wrestle up n smash buddy.
