@@charlesjonessr3684 here are some of the reasons sir. Longevity . He has been out before Beatstreet. Beat boxing is all over the world. Championships and all. He is still touring today. He can rock a crowd without a dj. No one from his time is at his level. Has the 2 best songs in hip hop Ladi dadi and the show.
Stand by me was the first beat I ever tried. So cool to see him up there, it’s like some kind of beatbox prophecy has been fulfilled. If he ever performed at GBB, the fabric of the universe might tear...
I remember the first time I heard "The Show" in the 80s from a cassette in my good friends pop up camper. We were all just kids, from late teens to very early 20s and one of the older guys brought home a tape from college to Upstate NY, where we lived. Upstate, as in, Damn near Canada daddy! At the time we were listening to Run DMC, LL Cool J, The Beastie Boys and others but I remember connecting more with Doug E because of the beat he put down. Later I became a DJ in a local Nite Club and realized it was mostly because I liked the beat of the bass and mixing one song into another. I will be 52 in 2 days and I look back on that time as some of the best times of my life. Not because things are bad for me now. Far from it, but because I got my education in what DJing should be and what to seek out when it comes to beats. Electronic/digital (as in today) or "humonic" from the 80s and the likes of Doug E. Thank you my brother for ENTERTAINING me for all of these years! By the way, I'm an almost 52 year old white man, father, professional, taxpayer and still DJ, (for myself in my home office) and I am not a racist, so let's stop the lie and the BS that is being spread around our country! America, like all other countries, has racists living here. However, we as a nation, are not racists and the facts are there to be had. Let's get back to the music and the fun and innocents of the mother F'ing 1980s!!!! PEACE
It's so cool to see this; the respect and all. Reeps One is an OG, but Doug is the guy the "old school" from Reeps One era admired. He's the old's old's school OG.
I kinda feel like reeps got his pacing from him? Also I love how we have the world champions and a gbb champion in the back awe struck recording on there phones. When there usually the ones be recorded and awed. It really puts into perspective just the amount of awe and respect he earned from not only our crowd but there crowd aswell.
What a legend to have on their show. Greatest beatboxer of all-time. The comments just remind me how cool the beatbox community is. This guy that probably most people never heard of and the maximum respect.
Shout out to my long lost black brothers over there in America New York you’s where the first to start this gangsta shit and I will never forget much respect from an Aboriginal Australian
It's mainly because by today's standards he's not very good but don't get me wrong that doesnt take away from the fact that the history is there and we wouldn't be where we are today if it weren't for people like him. I personally listened to rahzel and back in the day it was amazing and I will always respect what they have done but the reality is that for people who are new to beatbox the standard is a lot higher than it used to be.
There's nothing as inspiring as seeing a legit old school legend bring some beats to the table. There's an essence and a presence from the hip hop roots and the old school that's so powerful and should teach the new beatboxers something; there's always something amazing to learn from these guys. Sometimes the technicality and current standards can get a bit tiring, and you look for some special flow and groove merged with purity (sometimes soul and simplicity is the key), and i always find me getting inspired by Doug, Rahzel, Biz Markie, Kenny Muhammad, Faith Sfx, Eklips and all those fantastic names.
A few years ago ..sone freimds o mine...aak me to play my guitar not ryhme...so i stopped ths ryhme..and began to play .. To doug e frwsh beatbox all day
Alles was ich über die Menschliche Beat Box weiß, dass weiß ich von Ihm.und der mir meine the greatest entertainer Platte LP geklaut hat pass auf deinen Arsch auf.
The Creator of Beatbox
Not only is he the original beatbox but possibly the greatest MC of all time. Nobody has done it longer than him at the scale he does it in.
Labeling him the Greatest MC Of All Time is a reach

Yo tell me I’m not the only kid that listens to old school music because it’s better!
you would learn a whole lot more from the old school music! Listen to the words, and the serious topics that were being tackled on those songs!

Don't beat me up.. I just want to ask.. Is he the only human beat box? What were the fat boys? Again, please don't crush me for asking.
Hahahaha
Uncanny. There is a language in the African continent that uses clicks. I wonder if that talent has some roots in our mother land.
Only 1 guy?
Seems impossible
but he is good
Love me some Doug E Fresh…
However, the first human beatbox was The Fat Boys🤷♀
Booooooooooo
Creator of beatbox still isn't good at beatbox-
