- Recorded Wednesday November 2nd, 2016 at 1PM.The second round back siren that I found. 99th & Grouse St NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433 U.S.A. FS 2001 DC outdoor warning siren. This siren is near the Coon Rapids Dam Visitor Center 9750 Egret Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433.
The Round Back 2001 is belt driven like the Thunderbolt
Aren't all of The FS 2001 sirens made with the same type of rotation mechanism?
JPa311979 this one and the SRN models are the newer 130 is not
Gary Hisgun All SRN models, including the round-back, featured the Thunderbolts rotator mechanism. When the SRNB was introduced (the B stands for belt less) a new belt less rotor was introduced, which is what you see on the current 2001-130 and all of Federal Signals rotating sirens. The siren in this video is a 2001-SRN, not a 2001-AC or -DC like many people assume.
ChicagoSirens This is a 1st Generation 2001 DC. They were the first model of 2001 Made
