+ totally gotta say it, but the singer really sounds like Gordon Gano (Violent Femmes singer) to me. Probably not part of your influences, but still there's something in that voice that reminds me most of the VF songs. Couldn't really explain why though, maybe except for the highness and intensity of it. Anyway, that's an awesome track, so thanks a lot for sharing it :)
Hey Herve, appreciate the comparison! I personally don't know much of their music but will check it out after what you said. Thanks for the support and for checking us out! - Chandler (Bassist)
In case you don't know about them, check out " The Presidents of the United States of America" Most people if they know of them have only ever heard "Kitty" and "Lump" or maybe "Peaches" Their ballads never got headlines but were better songs by far. "Candy" and "Naked and Famous" were my favorites to belt out at the top of my lungs. ( I can't hold a note, Can't carry a tune :) )
Fire on the battlement Spilling shadows of the innocent, Send recompense from the minarets, Venom spread throughout the scene Circuitously serpentine On orders flung from the mezzanine, Pull back, abandon base, Coin covered eyelids can't save face, We will build your empire, We will feed your greed, We will vow to silence Cries of mutiny! Chaos reins as captains wail, "The enemy will not prevail! They've scraped and fought and died to no avail!" Gun powder smoke then filled the air With smells of burning flesh and hair, Pray mercy may the gods judge you fair, Pull back, abandon base, Coin covered eyelids can't save face, We will build your empire, We will feed your greed, We will vow to silence Cries of mutiny, They're in the crosshairs of our rifles, They've set air to all their missiles, They can't hide in burning barracks, They can't break us, they won't break us! (Jam) The devil dropped his six string And picked up 23, singing, "Lying has dug your lonely grave, now the truth will burry thee," I shook the shadow with firelight, Shrunk the Spector's mammoth might, and said, "If you wish to see the night You'll have to go through me." "Come on!" We won't follow! We won't build your empire, We won't feed your greed, No longer will we silence Cries of mutiny, You're in the crosshairs of our rifles, You've set air to all your missiles, You can't hide in burning barracks, You can't break us, You won't break us!

@@TheNativeHowl Femmes are definitely worth a listen. Wrote ballads like you guys do, but theirs were less coherent lol.

Lyrics anyone please ? :)
Damned copyrights btw..
Fire on the battlement
Spilling shadows of the innocent,
Send recompense from the minarets,
Venom spread throughout the scene
Circuitously serpentine
On orders flung from the mezzanine,
Pull back, abandon base,
Coin covered eyelids can't save face,
We will build your empire,
We will feed your greed,
We will vow to silence
Cries of mutiny!
Chaos reins as captains wail,
"The enemy will not prevail!
They've scraped and fought and died to no avail!"
Gun powder smoke then filled the air
With smells of burning flesh and hair,
Pray mercy may the gods judge you fair,
Pull back, abandon base,
Coin covered eyelids can't save face,
We will build your empire,
We will feed your greed,
We will vow to silence
Cries of mutiny,
They're in the crosshairs of our rifles,
They've set air to all their missiles,
They can't hide in burning barracks,
They can't break us, they won't break us!
(Jam)
The devil dropped his six string
And picked up 23, singing,
"Lying has dug your lonely grave, now the truth will burry thee,"
I shook the shadow with firelight,
Shrunk the Spector's mammoth might, and said,
"If you wish to see the night
You'll have to go through me."
"Come on!"
We won't follow!
We won't build your empire,
We won't feed your greed,
No longer will we silence
Cries of mutiny,
You're in the crosshairs of our rifles,
You've set air to all your missiles,
You can't hide in burning barracks,
You can't break us,
You won't break us!
Thanks A LOT !
Our pleasure!
