- The Gray Man is pushing to become the next big action movie franchise so the Russo Brothers and the rest of the stacked cast put their heart and soul into making sure it gets there. Two hundred million dollars goes a long way. Being the most money Netflix has ever invested in a film. With Ryan Gosling leading the helm in his first ever action movie, he blew the Russo's away with his dance choreography training that came in handy for the fight scenes and even made him a more impressive stage combat fighter than Captain America's Chris Evans himself! Most action movies get about four stunt scenes but this one was paired down from the novel's eleven to nine. Nine! That's actually insane. About three quarters of the movie is all action sequences. One hilarious moment was compared to Monty Python she. Director Joe Russo showed Ryan Gosling how a stunt is done by stepping in himself. Did you know this movie had almost no cut scenes? Post-production can't be understated. But the only scene that did have cuts was that hospital scene because they were experimenting with a ton of different stuff. Despite the movie being called The Gray Man, it's chocked full of colour. This was done intentionally to capture the audience's attention but they did use subtle lighting and filmmaking techniques to help the gray man fade into the background just a little bit. Loved the movie. I want a prequel on Lloyd Hansens characters life. Reckon it could be hilarious with some really funny scenes in it 🤣

The Prague fight specifically was one of my favourite. Like multiple different teams explosions going off everywhere some many things happening at once and Hansen saying (in my opinion )hilarious stuff like how hard is it to shoot a man tied to a chair.
That was my favorite action packed scene too. So many varied emotions from Ryan. It all go so insanely escalated but I loved it.

oh who cares. I really enjoyed it. Six was a great character and Lloyd Hansen a formidable enemy. I certainly hope there will be a sequel to that movie.

Maybe Lloyd Hansen will find his dastardly way into the sequel as well. Who knows. Without spoiling the movie, i do think it was kinda sus how they slowly zoomed in on him at the end.

I am worried that no one is talking about Dhanush's action ... Not only because they don't him much... the thing is he is just a side character and didn't get much scenes to prove him... And also the posters with Dhanush... is also just get the big Indian market to watch the movie and increase their revenue....

Me and my wife watched it. She doesn't normally watch but she loved it and I did too. We just didn't like the way it ended. We actually wanted more than just the ending... Hope it's setting us up for Part 2... It looks like an infinity war ending but what do you expect from Joe and Tony? Amazing.

Loved the movie, i watched it twice. Another action star was born.
I barely believed that the tram driver in Prague would go empty first, and second, never stop and run away once he hears a big mass going on inside the vehicle. That was the plausible part, really.
Otherwise, Evans did a great job as a villain, seriously, very convincing. Gosling was not what i would expect as a badass special agent, he simply does not have the typical Hollywood face for this kind of a character. He looked bored all the time to me..

Usually watch anime, this didn't disappoint. Amazing movie. I really liked how nobody was entirely good or entirely bad but each had both good and bad to them.

E ought action sequences to exhaust me the viewer…and I watched it on an iPad! Gosling, Evans and Armas are extremely athletic and the humour lightens it. There was definitely a dedication to delivering action plus. 🇳🇿🇳🇿🐑🐑NZ

Does anyone know what system Ryan used in this movie?
#16 - Yes, it was expensive (and the film looks like a 30 million production), but it wasn't shot in Baku, Bangkok, Berlin or Vienna, it was all Prague. The shot from Vienna didn't even have any post-production editing, the film just shows a view of the main train station in Prague, nothing more.

You can tell Chris isn't used to being a villain seeing how he clearly is confused on the definition of one according to him. Granted he did an amazing job with the character and it did surprise me just how good he was, but come on Chris "just being themselves"" does not justify a sociopathic villain. lol

It's a great movie Evans is great and should definitely get an Oscar for best supporting actor, I'd have preferred an even more realistic story and action so the chick beating up guys and the Indian guys fighting scenes were a little disappointing but still worth every penny to see it twice and easily the best movie of the last 4 years.
They said this was his firs action movie. But what about movies like "Only God Forgives?"
