Haha ya videos always seem easier than the real thing. But honestly, this wasn’t to bad of job over all. The main part I had trouble with was the bracket on the backside and the little catalytic converter shield. I thought I could get by without taking it off. My advice take it off, don’t even try working around it. But I hope the video helps you. Thanks for watching!
It can be done I’ve dropped plenty on the ground but it’s a real pain to record and be able to show you everything. Best of luck on your sons. Thanks for watching!

do you know how much different removing the 6speed manual from the 2.5l engine would be from this? i am struggling to find anything for that specific engine and transmission
Transmission are Interchangeable between the years of 2004 to 2013? I have a 04 Mazda 3 2.0 that needs a transmission and I found one but in a 2013 Mazda 3 2.0 would it be compatible regardless ?
@@JunkyardJunkie the one I’m looking at is a 2.0 just like my 2004. Thanks so much for the info if that’s the case I think I’ll buy the transmission from the 2013 for $400 what the guy is asking for !
@@JunkyardJunkie LOL mine is 153,000 and it is already so messed up like slips like crazy on 2nd to 3rd and sometimes doesn't even go into reverse gear.
In the video I show you everything you need to take off. So you should be able to see everything not sure what ground cable you’re talking about. best of luck! Thanks for watching!
Need advice, bought used tranny from eBay for 400ish to replace blown transmission differential- mechanic told me the axles slipped out and there was oil leak from somewhere so that’s why I bought new trans assuming differential broke and so now he’s telling me the spider gears don’t align and he can’t put it together because the transmission I bought, he would have to disassemble and reassemble it to fit axles, is he bullshitting me?
@@JunkyardJunkie thanks for your very straightforward and absolutely helpful walkthrough man. saved my life. im writing this swapping transmission in my dominos parking lot. im a driver. and it was what i did the first time getting the tranny out. im gonna try the starter now.
@@JunkyardJunkie total edit after transmission swapped, if you dont remove the starter prior to removal of tranny, it will be a little problem getting it to align unless you remove the starter and then align it, then put the starter on.
I’m really glad I was able to help! I’m really glad you were able to do it and congrats that’s defiantly something to be proud of! As for the starter ya take it off remove torque converter bolts then drop tranny like you said it makes it easier to line up. Anyways have a good one bud. Thanks for watching!
Man you made this look a hell of a lot easier than I know it’s going to be 😂😂😂

how did you manage to disconnect the connector in front... behind the shift connector ? the one that runs the solenoids???
I’ll be honest I’m not sure everything went pretty easy and everything is in the video. Best of luck. Thanks for watching!

Yes that’s the range. As long as it’s the same engine it’ll work. 2010-2013 only changed in cosmetics mainly. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching

Would this process be about the same with a manual transmission?
Ya it should be pretty much the same. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
@@JunkyardJunkie Should help a lot, thank you. Planning on replacing mine soon.
Good luck. You got this.
Is this process the same for a 2010 cx-7?
It should be very similar. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Would this be the same process for a 2006 Mazdaspeed 3 with the 2.3L turbo engine & 6 speed manual
So it’s going to be similar but not exact same. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
thank you very moch
