I absolutely love this little hat!!! I made both versions in record time. The video directions were so easy to follow? Thanks so much for making such a wonderful teaching video? Looking forward to more great videos🙂
Sara, I’ve been looking for a pattern like this for 2 days!!! I found you this morning with exactly what I was looking for!!!!!!! Thank You 😊Sara Sach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to get busy 🤓
I just made a messy bun hat and I absolutely LOVE it! Its a little small but it will stretch over time! I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your pattern and I'm looking forward to see what else you have in store😊 God Bless!
This is GENIUS! One way to make several hat styles! I'm so glad I found your video. I'd been making different hat styles, but using different patterns each time, which is kind of a pain. This is so much easier and quicker! Thanks so much for sharing. I've subscribed to your channel ;-)
I have yet to see that Colorway here in the Caribbean, it's Gorgeous! For some reason the angle you filmed the Video was not to my liking but, other than that it was pretty simple. Thanks.
Which stitch did you use on the slouchy hat with the black and pink yarn, please? I received mine in the mail yesterday and would love to make a ponytail hat probably. I love that stitch and hope there is a tutorial as I’m not very strong at reading patterns. Thanks so much. 😊
I am learning to crochet by watching these videos and have a question. I know I chain 3 to begin the double crochet rows but should I always chain 1 in between the single crochet rows - not sure if that is a given rule or if each pattern is different. Thank you and keep these video tutorials coming - I have learned so much and am totally"hooked!"
I am the same.. I find it hard to figure out what is a row on the rib. I don't crochet as much as I knit and first time doing ribbing. I have the band together but now have to figure out what are my rows.
Every "rib" is 2 rows, When you stitch in the front loops, it forms ribs on each side. You put a stitch in the top of the Rib, then you put a stitch between the" rib".
Sara, Im using Loops and threads charisma in black raspberry, a #5 and my K hook. Should i still need to get 72 rows or should i just measure 19 inches if thats the circumference the head is?
Sara, is the Pinky Crossover slouchy, is that stitch called the Crossover Stitch? Im trying to find a video showing that stitch. I love this pattern and yarn.
Hi Sara....I just finished my 12th hat using your amazingly easy video. I just can't stop myself. Now I need a simple mitten video. Do you have one or know of a good one I can use. Thanks
After you're done with the band and you chain 3- do you skip the first stitch or start in the first stitch? Is the chain 2 considered a stitch? THanks!!!!
Yes, if you want the hole smaller, continue to repeat the decrease row of "1 dc in the 1st 2 dc, dctog the next 2 dc". And remember you will need to "squish" up the hole some as you stitch onto the hair band.
If you are using a bulky yarn, I would go by measurements, rather than stitch counts. Make the band to Your head measurement, then do everything the same from there.
I'm making a hat for a little girl that is 5. I want to make it a ponytail hat. She is 201/2 in. circumference so I thought I would make the band 19 in. So it would fit better
If your opening is too big, make sure you didnt add too many stitches when starting the hat portion. If that's not it, try doing an additional row decrease row, or start your decrease row sooner.

Yes, yarn will always stretch a little, so a little small is better then a little big. :)
I love this hat & the yarn. You are very good at instructions, thanks
oh, Thanks.

When you join and the next row is a Single crochet row, ch1, if the next row is a Double crochet Row ch3.
When you count the rib do you count the humps only or how do you count it
If you are referring to the hat band portion, You count every row.

I would measure the head to make sure it fits

I do not have a mitten pattern, but I have a finger less glove pattern at this link: ruclips.net/video/kWCytOqGhA4/видео.html

Ch3 counts as a st, begin stitching in the next stitch.
Sara, on the pinky hat, should there be a ch. 1 before i begin the first sc row of the body of the hat?
I am not at my computer but if you click the link tin the notes under the video, it can give you the information.
@@SaraSach OK I'll check that. Thanks
Question: why not after the slip knot sealing the band don't we turn the band inside out to put the seam on the inside? Nice hat. Just curious.
C Carroll just a preference.
how do I get a smaller hole on top for the elastic do I keep decreasing?
Yes, if you want the hole smaller, continue to repeat the decrease row of "1 dc in the 1st 2 dc, dctog the next 2 dc". And remember you will need to "squish" up the hole some as you stitch onto the hair band.
thank your so much and love your hat!!!
hermoso gracias
How would i make the hat with bulky yarn #6..??
If you are using a bulky yarn, I would go by measurements, rather than stitch counts. Make the band to Your head measurement, then do everything the same from there.
Thank you..
I like the massy bun hat and I like the color good job I want the massy bun hat very nice love the color Janet Carter.
Sara!! Where do I find your blog to follow you!! Thanks
The link to my blog is in the notes under the video. I will post the link to my blog. poshpoochdesignsdogclothes.blogspot.com/

You can find all the stitch counts on the original pattern. The Link for the free pattern is in the notes under the video.

R u left handed !?
When I go to your blog for the written pattern, it keeps crashing. Do I need to use a different browser?
I really don't know. I have never heard of that happening before. Sounds like your computer is having some issues.
doing this video with u and myopening is so big at top y.

i haven't made the hat, but just looking at the hat in the video, I thought the opening was too big as well.
That is why you need to measure as you go.
any way to flip the video. watching is upside-down to watch stitching tutorial
If you need more help, the Free Crochet Pattern Link in in the notes under the video.
I wish the video were right side up.
if you need more help the Free Pattern link is in the notes under the Video.
im a man and i made them to
Do you have a man bun.
Sharon Keating 😂

Using a size I hook makes the hat too big, big enough for a man not a woman
You probably crochet looser then I do, you can go down a hook size or 2, and be sure to measure as you go.
