Shoushan National Natural Park is the most precious green gem in Kaohsiung City. In addition to its richer natural resources and rich cultural and historical trajectory, the natural park is extremely large, stretching from Banping Mountain and Guishan in the Zuoying District in the north to Chai Mountain in Gushan District ( Shoushan), Qihou Mountain, covering an area of 1123 hectares, the whole area belongs to the limestone geology of high-level coral reef uplift. The rich flora and fauna and natural ecological environment have created an urban oasis in Kaohsiung. In addition to the recreation area, there are historical preservation areas, special landscape areas and control areas in the park. There are many trails in Shoushan Natural Park. It is the best place to view the scenery of Greater Kaohsiung and observe the ecological plants and geology. It is also the largest base for Kaohsiung City to promote the transformation from an industrial city to an ecological city.

壽山國家自然公園是高雄市最珍貴的綠色寶石，除了自然資源，更有豐富的人文歷史軌跡。自然公園的範圍極其廣大，從北邊左營區的半屏山、龜山一路綿延到鼓山區的柴山(壽山)、旗後山，面積高達1123公頃，全區都屬於高位珊瑚礁隆起的石灰岩地質，物種豐富的動植物與自然的生態環境，造就了高雄的城市綠洲。公園內除了遊憩區之外，還有史蹟保存區、特別景觀區及管制區。壽山自然公園的有眾多步道，是眺望大高雄風光、觀察生態植物與地質的最佳去處，也是高雄市推動由工業城市轉型為生態城市的最大基地。
