I love how unnie doesn't cut the parts where she does mistakes like other RUclipsrs. Saranghae unnie. Thanks for teaching us Hangul 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Love you baby
Mistakes makes perfect🎉
Shut up.
unnie is rich..she got them bills! hehe
bri bart ㅋㅋㅋ Wish I had a stack of 50,000 won bills. Unfortunately, 50,000 won not equal to $50,000 USD. Although a bundle of 50,000 won bills (don't know how many bills in a bundle/currency strap. 20? 25?) would still be a sizable amount in USD.
Riccccchhhhhhhh
jeongguk Really?
jeongguk Oh cool!!

Took a taxi from the Airport to Seoul and tried to pay the driver with 10,000's LOL he had a good laugh. #foreigner fail.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 lol I'm done
@@edixxfs65 10k Korean won= €7.14 that's why he laughed I think.
전소중 if I’m not wrong, say the ride cost 7000원, this person paid the driver 70,000원 with 7 10,000원 on accident? Idk
@@Kuurajin Not if you show up at 2:00am. The only ride then is a taxi that costs 50,000 won. Believe it.
mlovmo Holy smokes
I am a girl and she teachs Korean so nicely that everyone can be a native Korean
Love Korean unnis
I'm going to Korea in few months and I was honestly so scared of the money, because ours is sooooo different. But this video helped me calm down a bit, lol!
Tamara Kriek How'd it go?
same over here
Tamara Kriek where are you from exactly?
You are so lucky
Same
Wow! they speak so fast.. I could barely hear and understand the Korean even though I could read the sentence at the bottom lol.
I'm going to be so screwed when I visit T_T
obviously lol, it's the same with any language
Caramel Macchiato my theory (as I haven't done any research on the matter) is that in our own native language our brains don't actually listen for every word but instead kinda feel it in based off what we have heard billions of times. All that to say resisten to things you don't understand as much as possible slow it down at first if you have to then normal speed then even speed it up. I feel like over time your brain will get used to the speed. It works for me so maybe it will work for you as well.
I mean they probably repeat it all day to everyone so it just comes out. I sure if you need some assitance their speech will slow down
@A Girl Has No Name not really
your not alone 😂 same I only know about 25 words in Korean 😂😂😂
Yes. As you did, I also thank to King Sejonghakdang for creating Korean Alphabets, 한글. It's more easier to memorize and unique.
This video is so helpful for me since I am actually learning Korean...
Thank you !! According to the online calculator I used, Unnie paid less than 4$ US dollars for that curling iron. Time to travel to Korea!! I'm going shopping .....!
No she paid about 20$
Finally. Someone who actually teaches good and easy things related to Korean!!❣️

₩5000= ₹300-350
₩10000= ₹600-650
₩50000= ₹300-3500
(I don't know coins value )
I am from tamilnadu 🇮🇳
So I'm guessing:
1,000 Won= about $1
5,000 Won= about $5
10,000 Won= about $10
50,000 Won= about $50
Yes or no? And what about the coins, what's their worth in USC?
1,145 Won = $1 so yeah you rite. the coin is 500 won and 100 won so its like about $0.5 and $0.1
yeap!
Super Shepherd yeh basically
They all use 'won' unlike America wherr we use both cents and dollars
@@mnbvcxz1597 won is not used everywhere
Thank you so much unnie you explained th money so well.
The exchange rate of Korean 1000 won to Mexican peso is 17.00 pesos but if you compare to other currencies like 1 US dollar is 18.00 pesos 1 Canadian dollar is 13.00 pesos 1 euro is 22.00 pesos Japanese 100 yen is 17.00 pesos and last uk sterling pounds is 25.00 pesos ..I love the color of the Korean money and Mexico money is also with colors I love the $1,000 Mexican peso banknote very purplelish

In India largest denominations for note & coin are 2000 & 10 respectively. So it's a bit shocking to see this.
And sometimes i didn't get change for 2000😂😂🤣
Korea is blessed with great king in the past that create alphabet to educated all korean into literated people and now his portrait available in the banknote 10000won
I really like your vlog! You even type the hangul and english translation when you buy something, it's really helpful! I live in Daejeon now as an exchange student, I learn Korean but I get stuck everytime when the seller ask me something. This kind of video is very helpful. Please make more and more video like this. Love
I just realized under “한국은행” it has the name of the bill so if you can read Hangul that’s another way to remember I guess
This is 2021 December I'm in Korea needed money tip thanks 😊
Wooww i'm so excited to learn about korean moneyyy!!
Kind of looks like Mexican money hahah
I would of like if she would of said how much it was in dollars. I know a bit but I get confused when the amount is higher.
Illa GG hahahahaa that's right. A Korean friend of me gave me some Korean paper money and of course, the colors are very similar so I've compared to Mexican money :)
Basically 1000 won is like a dollar
Kayla Pounds it’s not necessarily more though cause 1000 won doesn’t really buy you much
1 dollar is like 900 won I think
Its helpful in remembering the pronunciation of korean money.
Everyone: talking about money💴💴
Me: Woah!! Her nails are pretty and colourful💅💅
Learnt the words 교환 환불 today. Interesting how 교환 환불 어려우세요 means we can't exchange or refund instead of it's difficult to exchange or refund..
Also learnt that (거슬러) 거스르다 means to return back the money change. Awesome 😎
CyberMew hahaha you did read the subtitles :)
2:26 that was sweet 😍😍😍
even the korean currency looks so pretty than the ones here in the usa. ours is plain green and some in white lmao
Useful..my child is also learning Korean from last weeks..awesome...thank you..

Omg you're right
No
시로 I know right!
@@silviyyaa 시아 시로!
Noo
1 iraqi dinar is exactly equal to 1 south korean won. We have similar denominations in addition to a 25000 dinar banknote between our 10000 and 50000 ones. South korean banknotes jump from 10000 to 50000 without a denomination in between. However, we don't have coins, only banknotes in the following order: 250, 500, 1000, 5000, 10000, 25000, 50000 dinars.
Korean money is easy now that i think about it! Thanks Korean Unnie!
thank you so much for this tips and now im living in south korea with my family
I'm from the country that have a lots of coins . Coins here is very essential in your daily life . For transportation etc. Our coins range from 10cents to 10php . And the rest will paper bills from 20php(pesos) to 1,000php (philippine currency) your 50,000 won will have a lot of 1,000 paper bills here in the philippines ahahahha
She was so so so cuuuuute😭💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I love when korean unnie goes out into the field!
Mani mani mani woh oo oo, Mani mani mani.. 😂

Wow these are kinda like the money in my country and it's quite easy for me to use them.!!
Omggg this money iss alot of different than the money in europe and in europe we only got paper to the 500 euro and thats it sooo i am verry inpressed by this korean money
Anniong hasio??
Annyeonghaseyo (안녕하세요)
Wtf
Ann-yeong-ha-se-yo, it's all one word not separate. It's the formal way of saying hello in Korean to those your age or older. Say it all together smoothy and with accent if u can and you will sound like a natural.
An-nyeong-ha-se-yo is right
Here in the Philippines we have 6 paper money and also 6 coins its very different in korea you only have 4 paper money
Can somebody tell me how much for example 1000 wons are in € ? It's ok when you just know it in $
Nancy Foks €1 is around 1300 won
1000 won are ca 0,78€
They are so colourful 💜💛💚💙
I miss you Korea 😍
Wanna visit Korea again😍
How often do you use card to buy stuff in Korea? Do most of the stores/markets/restaurants have possibility to use card?
I'm going to visit Seoul this month at the same time when I travel to Taiwan and I would like to know is it possible to use Visa card, because I would prefer if I don't need to use cash that much.
You'll be able to use card in almost every places in Korea! Enjoy your trip :)
This helped me so much omg, im going to korea with two of my friends and they both dont know any korean and im the one with the most experience so im pretty nervous ima have to do all the talking 😭
I doubted it too before I gave it a try...and it was of no regret
He's not like other brokers that will start telling you stories and excuses why they trade didn't go well after collecting your money
Thank you!! Well this one's easy! When I've been in London I got so confused with all the small coins, cause they have the old ones mixed with new ones, had to buy cheap souvenirs just to get rid of most of them.
I really like the way you talk in english so fluent..... love your expression unnie......from North East india nagaland
In America it's a saying. Shop till you drop. lol. Thanks for the video. :-}}
What if 이이’s last name was lee lol then it would be 이이이
This was absolutely amazing, thank you so much!!!
How to Use it
1st Step: Dont use it
2nd Step: Spend small amounts
3rd Step: Save the rest
Can you talk little about Korean "Seal"? In many parts of the world, only business people use the seal as official authentication of sort. It appears almost Korean use seal, especially for real estate and other large transaction, is involved. Is the seal used commonly?
on the philippine bills were P1000,P500,P200,P100,P50
the coins on PH were P10,P5,/P25,P10
we call our bills and coins Peso/s but you see I separated P25 and another P10 because its a centavo/s we used it for example you buy and its change is P1.25 or P1.10 it means one peso and ten/twenty-five centavo.
you can use four 25 centavos and it cost 1 peso like one candy cost 1peso you can pay four P25 centavos.
P1000 pesos is actually the biggest bill and its color is blue, the P200 were green and the P100 were indigo color, and the P50 were a pinkish red idk whats the exact name of the color. you can search for it. :)
I'm wondering, what can you buy in ₩1??
In the Philippines, sometimes, you can buy a candy in ₱1.00
My high school had a foreign exchanged student from Korea I befriended. She was very sweet and enjoyed her company. She gave me a bill (the 1000 won) but they updated it since it looks different and I'm sure it won't be accepted if I visit.
thank you!!! it helped me to understand! I'm coming to Korea less than week ❤
could someone covert the money into U.S value?
For a VERY rough estimate divide by a thousand, 10USD = just over 11,000
50,000won is about $50
10,000won is about $10
5,000won is about $5
1,000won is about $1
and then
500won is about 50 cents
100won is about 10 cents
The only reason I say "About" is because every 1 won is like 0.00094 dollar so they aren't set because it's just a liiittle less when converted to USD. Like 50,000won is close to 50 us dollars but it's a couple dollars short
Just take off the last 3 zero's
Can you make a video on korean aegyo plzzzzzzz I love you😚😚😚😚
"Oh big one"😂
The 10000 money the Pearson looks like a Pearson in kdrama hwuarang
