- first off, I probably got the Mr.Guns and gear line wrong, so sorry if that's a false.
Secondly, do not charge $250 for a flak vest. it aint worth that much and I don't have that much to pay it anyways.
Third, hope people are enjoying these mini tutorials and such. I absolutely love the late Cold War into OIF era of equipment, so it's most of my knowledge base.
I still got my 6 color desert flak with helmet cover, 3 tone cammies with desert boots I wore in 2003
I even have the old style green jungles, M81’s with the huge collar I used to rock out with still starched from 1997. We used to take the old night desert parkas and make ghillie suits out of them.
I retired in 2015 from the Marines and got all of my stuff
@MountaintravelerEddie dude that is absolutely wicked. Gonna assume you're an OIF et. I absolutely love the ODS and OIF era and have been collecting up everything of importance I can from about '80-'05.
Note, I have the full Desert Night Camo suit and they're my favorite pajamas. I use all this stuff extensively as daily wear.
@@AevisPrime we lived in our uniforms in 128° heat.

@@MountaintravelerEddie that's what I'm talking about. What MOS were ya?
this man seems to know his stuff...
Once in awhile.
Pretty clever trick running the shoulder straps of the ALICE gear under the shoulderpads like that. Also didn't know the vest had the grenade holders on it, though I think I'd prefer to stick them in the pockets on the sides of the rifle mag pouches as that seems like a more secure way to carry them. I'm just getting into collecting helmets, and a PASGT is definitely high on my list, just can't decide if I want to put a woodland or "chocolate chip" cover on it when I get one.
@Orca19904 both covers are very cheap and readily available so you're in luck there. Plus, most helmets come with a cover anyways so you're only spending on one. As for the vest, yeah, its a pretty big improvement over the M69 which has the grenade hangers and pockets but no rifle pads. Absolutely love both though. Good luck to ya in finding a Kpot though, prices are definitely climbing. Unreservedly, I might add.
@@AevisPrime I've gotten close to getting one a few times, but been bid-sniped at the last moment each time. I currently have an ACH and just recently acquired a late-production M1.
@@AevisPrime Update: I just closed a deal on a PASGT. It doesn't have a cover or cat eye band, but I will quickly rectify that once it arrives. Thinking about getting an LBV-88 and a set of woodland BDU's and completing a late US Cold War loadout.
@@Orca19904 that's be dope as hell. Hook that shit up my dude
@@AevisPrime My PASGT arrived today; unfortunately the sweatband is missing so the thing wobbles around like a bobblehead even after adjusting the suspension system and cinching down the chinstrap. It feels like I'm wearing my ACH with the pads taken out.
holy shit its the Ifunny guy!
@@sinisterpatriot3025 GOD DAMNIT NOT AGAIN
@@AevisPrime LMAO EAT SHIIIIIIIT. Anyway, you thought about getting a PLCE yet? If you don't have one already.
