Napier noise on the Nene Valley Railway | 08/06/2024

Having missed English Electric Class 55 55013 The Black Watch (55009 Alycidon in disguise) at the Nene Valley Railway over the May Bank Holiday weekend, I was delighted when the NVR announced an extra running weekend.
I started at Longueville Junction, where 55013 is seen (and heard) accelerating out of Orton Mere station. I then got on the next westbound service and travelled through to Yarwell Junction. Next, I went back as far as Overton and walked to the river bridge on the Castor Straight. Here, the Deltic accelerates off the 10MPH speed restriction over the bridge. Finally, The Black Watch is captured leaving Orton Mere on the final Peterborough service of the day. I had hoped to catch her on the last Wansford service as well, but I completely mistimed my shot and heard the train go past as I was walking through a wooded section where I couldn't see it.
