I’ve got some great ideas that will make you smile during February! There are songs, games, books to download, art projects, and cooking ideas. You will find links to handouts on some pages and six books.
Valentine for Parents - Let each child take off one shoe and trace around her foot on white paper. Cut it out. Give each child 5 small pieces of red tissue paper to wad up and glue at the end of each toe for toenails. Write “I love you from my head down to my toes” on the foot. You can see an example at the end of the video.
You’ll also find patterns so your children can make a “Power Word Dictionary.” Someone saw me demonstrate this in a seminar and suggested I put it on my website. This might be just the thing you need this time of year to improve vocabulary, spelling, and writing.
