    This is cool bro! I’m from Honolulu and have been living in the Greater Seattle area for almost 2 years. Trying to become a software engineer myself 😬

    Loved the video! Are remote positions very common or is it difficult to achieve one as a new grad? I’m going into grade 12 and I’m interested in applying to software engineering post-secondary (in Canada)

      Its become very common since COVID - even the big companies like MSFT and FB are offering there employees to go full-time remote

    So awesome! Are you still working remotely from HI?
    I’m thinking of going to work from home from Hawaii for a month as an accountant since now it’s not a busy tax season. But kind of scared to ask my boss for permission lol

      No! We’re back to office now so unfortunately I had to come home. Hopefully your boss lets you! You may be surprised

    Microsoft offering permanent remote? Is the compensation location based or Bay Area/Seattle based?

    • @JasonGoodison
      @JasonGoodison  3 года назад +1

      Its not standard! (as far as I know) And if you did do full remote its location based

    I think it is unrealistic to expect that the average software engineer will travel as much.
