If your custom hoops are at all the same as the stock parts, this should work great. You only need the lower frame hole (doesn't change) and a top shock hoop mount hole to get the motor mount secured. Thanks
I know this video is a little old now but hopefully you see this comment. I'm interested in buying this kit for my SCX10, so I can mount a hard body JK, I was wondering, does the servo/bumper mount include a place for a panhard link to go? CMS has always confused me a little bit about what is required, I don't want to end up with only half of what I need. Your input would be appreciated :)
GCMRacing1 - Scale Truck RC in Canada, been following for a long time love all the builds I see on here and it has inspired me to build an scx10 I have xtra speed aluminum complete front and rear axles and am wondering if the panhard kit will work with these axles or is it only stock I am planning to relocate my servo from axle to chassis so I assume I will need a panhard setup ? Both axles are setup for 4 link front and rear this is an original scx10 and not the scx10 2 I am buying parts and building from scratch. Any input would be great , thanks
I was looking on your website and this combo is sold out when will you have it back in stock? I'm working on a scale Chevy SS truck with full interior and this would be perfect for me to avoid having to cut the interior. Let me know. Thanks
Hey guys when will the Scx10 motor/tranny relocation kit be back in stock. Todays my bday and finally got the ok from the wife to order but its out of stock :(
I'd say if you have the steering servo on the axle, it's way more solid with no other mods on the truck. No advantage for a stock truck, other than scale points.
Ah ok. I am picking up my first rc today (Axial SCX10 RTR with the truck body) and I am looking for starting upgrades and right now I am thinking about metal links/steering. Is a Lipo worth it or should I just start off with a standard battery?
Hello, i have bought this kit, and i was looking for instruction for the assembly off the transfert case and the motor mount but i didn't find it anywhere. maybe you have a link or something else? thank you
GCMRacing1 - Scale Truck RC in Canada Hello thank you but i was looking for instruction for the assembly off the motor mount and the stock transmission. Never mind at the end it wasn't so difficult.. But now that all is in place i have problems. First one the servo arm hit the front axle when shocks are fully compressed...:( i finaly put some spacers to lift the servo it's better but not perfect :( The second problem is that with the stock front 3 links, is that the car go up and down and left and right when using the steering without mooving :( so i made 4 links for the front axxle...it's better but the problem stil exist, the car go now up and down when using the steering.....well i'am not so happy! is there a way to solve this problem? relocate the servo on the axxle is impossible because of the motor mount....put a panhard link...? if this is the solution, well i'am little sad that this wasn't mentioned on your store web page off the SCX mount combo kit. Have you any solution please?
+Lefevre Baptiste i have the same problem! Maybe solved by installing a panhard kit? Im tired to search and found nothing about it. Always touch the axle with the servo linkage
No need to change the mounting position. If you use the body posts still, then they have to get new holes wider than the original because the shock towers are flipped around.
the shocks kind of bow outward a little at the top, is this gonna bend the shafts overtime or wreck the seals at the bottom of the shock? and im gonna have to cut the body mounts cuz they wont fit
You can space the stock shocks to be mostly upright. There's ball ends on the shocks to allow side to side movement, so there's no damage to the shocks. It's built to be moving that way. The body post mounts may hit the shock depending on the hole you have the shock mounted into. Thanks
Jeez O Man. 2018 was SUPPOSED to be the year I didn't build another truck. Why did I find this kit now? WHY? Great product!
Hmmm. I wasn't aware of you folks (GCM). I will be looking into all of your products with great interest. Thanks for what you do. : )

Wouldn't the angle of the motor to transfer case drive shaft be straining?? It's not parallel.
Great looking stuff, you make it all just so easy! Some day I will have more of your products, and not just used! lol..
Great video for novice crawler builders like me!
Definitely MIDIWD material!
Thanks guys!
HI its 2022 now , do you still sell these kits for the original scx10's ?
I don't think we have any more in stock, no. Check the canada site at gcmracing.ca in the SCX10 section for stock and info.
I really like your videos!
does the transfer case put the driveshafts in the center of truck or are they offset like the stock Trans position?
+Jeremy Flowers Centered. Yes.
What else do I need for the front mount Servo? Is it necessary to go from 4 link to 3 and have a Panhard bar?
A little off topic but which wheels are those? They look incredibly awesome
Thanks, that's the old SwitchBack rim from GCMRacing.ca, which isn't made anymore.
I know this video is a little old now but hopefully you see this comment.

Thanks, this kit is in a store section that also has the panhard kit for SCX. I'd recommend using both together.
GCMRacing1 - Scale Truck RC in Canada so it does, I missed that entirely when checking through your website! :)

i have custom shock hoops this combo should still work right?
Is it necessary to move the servo on to the chassis when using this front motor mount?
yes

Nathan Welch Doesn't look out of stock to me... gcmracing.ca/viewitem.php?productid=128 Read the listing!
GCMRacing1 Have a great bday!
The sxc10 mounts combo kit says sold out.
GCMRacing1 thanks
Is there any advantages to using a front mounted servo itself? (without the front mounted kit)
I'd say if you have the steering servo on the axle, it's way more solid with no other mods on the truck. No advantage for a stock truck, other than scale points.

You will be very happy with a lipo battery and balance charger. More power and run time per MAH rating, and lighter. I vote Lipo

Lefevre Baptiste Thanks, we do have the Transfer case instruction video on the transfer case page at gcmracing.ca

Will this set work with the axial honcho rtr
does this change the mounting position of the body
No need to change the mounting position. If you use the body posts still, then they have to get new holes wider than the original because the shock towers are flipped around.
where does the 2 speed transmission servo mount?
I used the same servo brackets that came with the 2 speed and bolted the brackets to the side of the frame rail. It worked perfectly there.
Hello, where can I buy this front engine mounting.

kool yea I ended up cutting my body posts way down to fit my jeep Cherokee so they fit now, im just waiting on the motor mount to come in the mail
