I know this is reality TV and a lot is made for the camera but Stu is a flying with a pilot that is going to kill someone with his antics.
they both need to work on their airmanship skills because one of the things that I learned is that you do not grab controls like Kerry did unless the Pilot in Command is incapacitated or otherwise not responding to the situation and Stu does need to work on not allowing the autopilot to do most of the flying especially in adverse conditions.
Please do season two!

All the dramatic pauses when the hypothermic pilots are messing up their readbacks. Meanwhile, even a moderately interested fan like myself is sitting there going, "The controller's just going to correct them, that's why they're reading it back. What's the big deal?"
If it is that cold at 7,000 meters (-40 C / - 40 F), can't the pilots lower their altitude to say 3,000 meters (-4 C / 24 F)? Yeah, there is more drag, but the higher temperatures at lower altitude may help if cabin heat is malfunctioning. :)
@@thatguyalex2835 Fuel Consumption is more in lower altitudes moreover chances of icing increase as well as moisture typically increases lower down
@@Dany-cj3kn Definitely. Icing would form at lower altitudes, as relative humidity is the highest in the lowest portion of the troposphere. :) However, in clear skies, icing should not form as much.

Im not a pilot but i have experienced hypothermia before, if ur flying a plane with an unreliable heating system, theres tons of cheap stuff you can bring to the cockpit to provide heat. Im just sayin

They had heating equipment. It was just in the cargo hold of the plane so they couldn't get it

According to wikipedia two people died in a plane crash related to filming for this series. Small aircraft are not like jumbo jets - the danger is very real.

One of the worst displays of airmanship I’ve ever witnessed. There should be no second guessing or backseat driving (flying). Dangerous antics that could quite easily have killed someone. The PIC is the PIC, unless you’re questioning the PICs skills or capabilities then it’s probably best you sit there and obey instead of having a chaotic cockpit. Disgraceful conduct. Compose yourself copilot.
