Usually I wouldn't say that, but for this particular clip I would say so. The man gets to be essentially emotionally uncommitted. "Poly" or "open relationships" are NOT relationships, they are emotional abuse. PERIOD.
This isn’t “poly” this is polygamy. There is a big difference. Polyamory is about love and equal partnerships. Polyamory is centered around informed consent. Polygamy is usually centered around religious compulsions. It’s designed to benefit the men. I’ve been in polyamorous relationships and they are far more fulfilling and loving than any monogamous relationships I’ve been in or been around.

Granted this is only bit I've seen of this show but it seems like they're going about it all the wrong way. My husband's been on a couple of dates with other women, because I TOLD him to. I've had no sex drive for nearly 8 years and it's simply not fair to him to spend the rest of his life deprived because my body decided to close up shop. I did not cry when he left for dates. I did not make rules about "no intimacy" (kind of defeats the point, doesn't it?).
