One of the first things you teach a puppy is to sit and wait for the "ok" or "break" command when a door is opened. That part of training is invaluable to keep your dog safe. It's mind-boggling how many people never bother to train that. They just choke the dog by its collar or run screaming after the dog as it flies down the street lol. Dogs that bolt out of the door the second it's opened are not properly trained.
It's getting very bad in the UK because so many people bought dogs in the pandemic that never had training or socialisation as puppies. Those people wanted a cuddle buddy but never looked into what goes into looking after an animal properly.
@@JamieM470so many people get dogs knowing nothing about them. They are widely known as easy going loyal family pets that most people have been around in their life. I think this is why so many people underestimate how much work and responsibility goes into training and owning a dog. People forget little Lassie could seriously hurt or kill a human being if not trained or socialized properly. 🫣

I remember in kindergarten (2005-2006) we were required to know our parents cellphone number, our house number, our address, and our parents email. It was all in case of an emergency. Kids these days don’t know their parents number. Years ago our neighbors son got home from school. His mom was a bit late. He asked us if he could call his mom, we handed him the phone and he was confused. He didn’t know her number which is very dangerous these days. I feel sorry for these kids. This very day there are five numbers I remember: my mom, my dad, two of sisters, and my brother. And if I ever get in a relationship I would memorize my husband’s number.
The dramatic walk to the chamber to pick up the phone 😂 😂 Judy is a BOSS
