As a brand new player this is super helpful! There are a ton of keyword skills in this game and it can be daunting. Do you think Bandai will ever make a format shift so that some of these older sets are rotated out? Maybe remove some older keywords/ cards so its easier to balance the game?
They probably won’t. But there are similarities between the keywords that make it easier to learn and understand them the more you learn about the game
hey Johku, would you ever consider doing a part 2 of this video with effective techniques for utilizing these keywords properly. For example, can you use a leaders skills, then awaken and also use the awakened skills of the backside in the same turn? or strategies for warping cards then retrieving them out of your warp and back into the game, etc. thanks!
If a unison has five markers in play and you play a new blue unison for 3 with slower 3 that new unison will take markers from the one in play when it kills it and play with 6 markers

One question though: Are Dark Over Realms considered Over Realms for the purposes of their once per turn nature? i.e. can I Dark Over Realm and Over Realm in the same turn without a Wormhole?
I have a question about the SS3 Gotenks, Warriors Growth Z-Leader card. Lets say I activate its Z-Awaken Skill which requires me to be at 5 life or less, it says to play it on top of the specified leaders backside. So does that mean I also flip my normal Leader card over from front to back automatically, even if its normal awaken cost requires me to be at 1 lower life at 4 total? Also can Z-Leader cards get KO'd unlike normal Leader cards, or do they just stay on the field like normal Leader cards, even if they get defeated. Hope this isn't too confusing lol. Thanks!
Regarding new z deck: So I can place multiple combo cards into my z drop area per turn (1 per each "battle"? In other words if I "battle" my opponent 3 times during 1 turn, and I used a combo card every time, I can put all 3 combo cards in the z drop? Also, I noticed my Sarta north galaxy warrior card says "if it's your opponents turn and 2 or more angel halo are in your drop, reduce the energy cost of this card in your hand by 2." That means that when my turn starts I can place him out for 1 energy instead of 3 right? Also, a counter: attack negate the attack is played as soon as the attack is declared or after my opponent has declared all his combos (thus wasting all his combo cards)? Thx very much
@@JohkuDMD thx Johku! So to counter negate an attack you have to pay your cards energy cost right? And you do that before the attacker adds his combo attackers? Or can you wait til he declares all his comboers and then negate the entire thing?
thanks for the video I really love the game even though I have no-one to play with, but with servant does the 10,000 begin to stack up, so if I had a card with 9,000 and it got 10,000, and then the next time I use would it get another +10,000 or would it stay the same?

I have a vegito that says "ex evolve 1 cost yellow 'son goku' 'vegeta'." But can I use son goku:gt and vegeta:gt? I'm assuming I can because the son goku requirement is within the name of my son goku:gt card. Otherwise, there's only like 3, 1 cost yellow "son gokus" ever invented
Dang sorry I missed that! Energy exhaust means the turn a card comes into energy it is placed in test mode. All multicolor cards are played in energy in test mode the turn they are placed in energy unless otherwise specified. This is the trade off for having access to two colors of energy on one card (a blue yellow card can be used as blue or yellow when paying for a specified cost or skill cost)
If I attack with an unawakened leader then awaken it, will it switch to active mode and be able to attack again? I'm going to assume no but please correct me!
I have a ? about SS2 Kefla, Lightning Speed. Can you activate her activate main skill during rest mode after you've attacked already and then restand her when she gains dual attack or do you have to activate it during her active mode? (Does a Rest mode card restand when it gains dual attack from a skill?)

Not a bad question at all and honestly a smart way to think about versatility and gaining advantage. The rule book says you many only have four cards between your side deck and main deck with the super combo keyword skill and only one ultimate between sideboard and mainboard as well. If a card has double strike and it attacks a battle card, does it strike it twice as well or does that skill only is applied against the leader? Example: card with double strike and a power level of 20k does it attack 40k against a battle card?
Great question! No, it only works for leaders or Unisons, in where it would remove 2 markers instead of one when it is attacked successfully. Double/Triple/ Quadruple strike effects do not multiply power levels of cards.
I traded that secret rare Goku back when it first dropped that i pulled from a pack and watched it shoot up hundreds of dollars. I still wanna jump out a window over it

So wait a minute, does that not make that Trunks card completely broken? It can Double Strike and Dual Attack your leader card and potentially take off 4 life? Or it can kill a battle card AND take away 2 life in the same turn? That's busted as hell!

It stays just +10000 and cards with servant dons rest and at the beginning of a turn
So cards in your energy area basically have no skills correct? Like I could have a unique in my energy and battle area?
Correct unless otherwise specified on the card but 99.9% of cards yes that is correct

She has to be in active mode for the dual attack to stand her back up
If a card has no keywords, like just an auto in blue, is it considered skillless? Or is skilless legit no words on card?

This may be an obvious question, but can you sideboard alternate super combos or scr's since there's a limit on how many can be present in a deck?
