My perspective: ma2t had more character and emphasis on certain qualities of movement, and he showed more diversity in textures, but sometimes he didn't go anywhere with that quality. Like he built up good setups but didn't capitalize. He always tried to think about matching his movement with the sounds though, and his dance felt more alive Andrey showed higher levels of execution and technical abilities, and had more continuous movement, and he capitalized very well, but sometimes his movement became mundane and monotonous in the middle. Part of his rounds, while they were in rhythm, lacked clarity in the type of song or vibe the beat. His foundation felt more like he was going through the motions to connect the rest of his dance together sometimes. I think if he added more character or intention to those parts, he would be a WAY better dancer.
Both dancers are both technically great dancers with emphasis on waving mat2t intricacies with the vocals of the music were superior to Audrey’s in this battle but just slightly which is what I think gave him the win. Great battle overall however!!
