Tn beat Bama...not to mention the TN offense is ranked 8th, and thats the offense the TN defense see in practice every day lol.
OSU is 5-12 all time against SEC teams total. I had to check that from 2 different sources not just because of their losing record, but because they've only played 17 games vs SEC teams.
The defense and running game make me think we can beat anyone. Nico being inconsistent is the glaring weakness. I do believe he has gotten better and will continue to get better. Oregon will be tough, but its not impossible by any means.
Tennessee has not yet played up to its potential, but they're still winning. The offense has either had OL issues, receivers dropping catchable balls, or fumbles from key players. Nico overthrew receivers for awhile, because coaches wanted more arc on the ball. If the team ever puts it all together for a single game, I'm not sure they're beatable.
Ohio State fan here. I know most people in Tennessee have no real reason to go to Ohio so if you're making the trip up for the game, here are some tips coming from an Ohio state alumni and Columbus native! On the day of the game, try to get there early. If you're not ubering, there's a parking garage next to the stadium (which is on West campus) that will fill up in no time, so you might find more luck if you preemptively park a little more to the east or south. It'll be a bit of a walk in the cold and I'm not sure how much snow will be on the ground so bundle up. You might be hard pressed to find a place to eat on campus, typically campus dining services will close over winter break, but again parking in the east will be beneficial to you because across from high street (the eastern border of campus), you'll have 2 Chipotle's, several pizza joints, a bibibop, a Cane's, a Dave's hot chicken, a chick fil a, a few Mexican joints, multiple hole in the wall restaurants, and BUCKEYE DONUTS (my personal favorite that also does lunch and dinner food + open 24 hours but the line inside might be 5 people long -> if the line goes over 5 people it will stretch outside into the cold). And ofc over 10 bars that'll be chock full of students if you're looking to pregame. If you go south down high street you'll reach the short north district, with more bars, restaurants, and night life. If you want something away from campus during the day or after the game if you stay up, give downtown Dublin a try! Ofc more restaurants but there's also a pins mechanical co (look it up, it's fun and there's one in Nashville too), 2 hotels which are actually pretty good to travel from for the game, the Urban Meyer pint house, and pretty photo op spots, I know a few people who have gotten married or had engagement parties there. Have fun up there and stay warm! Welcome to Columbus and go buckeyes!!! 🌰⭕
Just for the record, it's also COLD in Knoxville this time of the year- lows in the 20s and highs in the 30s or 40s, so the cold weather won't be a big deal to ANY of the Knoxville fans or players.
@rohunvangal4446 I’m a University of Tennessee alumni. Although I’m unable to attend the game in person, I want to thank you for being an incredible ambassador for The Ohio State University and your city of Columbus. It’s obvious from your post that you’re a person who realizes that college football should be an enjoyable activity for both teams and their fan bases which fosters the spirit of competition without sacrificing hospitality or civility; sports would be awfully boring if there were only one team to root for. While I see nothing wrong with a little good-natured smack talk, so often these days the back and forth can quickly escalate to cruel and insulting language and behavior (especially on the internet). I hope, should you ever find yourself in Knoxville and Neyland stadium, that you are surrounded by Tennessee fans who share your passion for college football as well as your respect for other human beings. I believe the majority of fan bases consist of these types of people, but unfortunately, every team has those fans who, for whatever reason - whether they were raised to be cruel or they can’t handle their alcohol - can’t behave decently. I’m fond of the saying that goes, “in a world where you can be anything, be kind.” It was very kind of you to take the time to share with Tennessee fans how to have the best possible game-day experience when the Volunteers visit the Buckeyes in the shoe. I didn’t mean to write a novel, but it was very refreshing to come across your post amongst some negative ones. I hope we get a competitive game without any injuries to these young student athletes giving their all for our entertainment. Good Luck, Merry Christmas, God Bless & Go Big 🍊!

Plus Ohio State didn't play Oregon in the championship game and when they played in the regular season they lost in the last second play so that might not be good news for Tennessee with the script writers
As a Tennessee fan, i think OSU is a great team. Anyone who doesnt think so is kidding themselves. But i think what may be the MAJOR weakness, is OSUs plug and play o line to fix center issues. That is where the Vols can capitalize. It wasnt just trying to beat michigan at their own game. With McGlaughin out, its gonna be hard to block that much depth all game.
Just think back to Ohio State barely beating Nebraska at home, losing to Michigan at home, barely beating Penn State playing bad, losing to Oregon playing bad, and then you realize they’re not even a playoff team. Tell me all about their roster, I could care less. That doesn’t mean they’re a good team.
The Ohio State head coach, Ryan Day, has a LONG history of turning into a TURTLE in the big games. He's one of those coaches who beats up on the MANY poor teams that the Buckeyes play, then he CHOKES when the Buckeyes play the really good teams, ESPECIALLY when they play Michigan. I will be SHOCKED if suddenly Ryan Day becomes a "bad ass" coach in this playoff game against Tennessee, and "pulls out all the stops". Ryan Day is coaching this game FOR HIS JOB, so who knows?
Ohio State beats Penn State “oh well penn state just played bad despite the fact that they were hungry for their first win over Ohio State in 8 years” just sit down clown you don’t know ball if you think OSU is not a good team
We are built for OSU & Oregon! They have trouble with the run, and Sampson is the #1 RB in the SEC & SEC plater of the year. Our Dline is 13 deep and OSU revamping their Oline at the end of the season is a bad sign. 35 - 17 Vols. I think Nico will have a great game because of the run!
@kev614 Our #1 back IN THE SEC has 11 games this year over 100yrds. The other game he had 96. He averages 140 yrds per game with over 5 yrds per carry! We will run the ball. On the other hand, your run game is not good with a makeshift line = a lot of sacks. It's just talk either way we will see Saturday.
Not too confident about this game. If Tennessee borrows Michigan’s helmets, then the Buckeyes have no chance. Let’s go Bucks!! We’ve been wanting the SEC up north in the cold for years, so make it count!!
Yeah, I agree. I grew up in Columbus, but actually spent the last few years in West Knoxville, and you’re right, it’s not much different weather wise. Playing someone like LSU or Florida would have been more significant weather wise.

@@kylecollins3755 I'm originally from Ohio and now live in the Knoxville area. The winters aren't much different here, temperature-wise, but Ohio obviously gets more snowfall.
Let's not go CRAZY here. Tennessee has some weaknesses. What if the opponent shuts down the running game? What if Samson gets hurt? What about Nico's propensity for overthrowing his receivers? What if Nico gets hurt? What about Heupel's head-scratching play-calling at times? What about Heupel's poor clock management? What about the very average secondary?

Many question marks about Tennessee game day preparation, scouting and execution - just take a look at the success of amount of scoreless quarters they had over the last five games indicating that they don't have to complete package! They're not prepared to play and dominate - the Arkansas game approved that!
The very thing that teams hope for in a game, namely crowd noise and support, can also work against the team if they start making stupid errors, disappointing the crowd and causing negative reactions. Look for negative crowd response from OSU folks in Saturday's game. GBO!
I’m just glad we’re in the playoff, but I won’t settle for just a playoff game. I want 4 of them. And I 100% believe we can bear Ohio State. It will all depend on QB play for us. If Nico can play like he has the last 2-3 games and maybe even elevate his play a little we can go up there and beat Ohio State 100%
I really don’t get why people don’t think rs freshman going 10-2 in the sec and growing as much as he has deserves any hype or praise. Doesn’t make sense. Not exactly an easy offense to run either
I could be wrong, but if Tennessee beats Ohio State then they have to beat Oregon to advance. And there is a real chance they will play Georgia for a second time. And if they beat Georgia, then, iirc, then they will have to have played 3 teams that all were #1 in the polls at least once during the season. Does anyone else have to do this? No.
You guys talk out of both sides of your faces. You release a bracket showing Tennessee is one and done. Now, you release a video touting their playoff potential. Tell me you'll say anything for money without telling me you'll say anything for money.
Gona be hard to win at the shoe at night against the most expensive roster ever but we can pull it off if we get ahead early and turn the crowd against day its suppose to snow too so thatl favor us..oh and it depends on officials hopefully theres some sec officials and not big 10 or pac 12 they hate tn
Saying you'd take Tennessee to win and to cover against Indiana makes no sense. Win and to cover a line that isn't real? What if they were favored by like 50 and your just, "yup, win and to cover" cause it's the SEC.

@dankcoyote
Tennessee is the same way. Who have they really beat this year 🤔. Yes alabama but there having a down year other then that nobody
@@Steven-r2w9bOhio State has showed up in all their playoff semifinal games under Ryan Day what?
Ohio State beats Penn State “oh well penn state just played bad despite the fact that they were hungry for their first win over Ohio State in 8 years” just sit down clown you don’t know ball if you think OSU is not a good team
@@kev614 Really? They may have "showed up", but they've LOST three of their four playoff games under Ryan Day. Check your facts.

Your new chant, Stu.….pid! 👀
@@thefireshow1 your new chant :
S O F T C R Y B A B Y......4-0.........
Damn, for centuries they used to say everything in Texas is big. Hot damn son, your mouth is bigger than any in Texas.👀👀👀
Ohio State is #7 in rushing defense, and you’re gonna be in for a rude awakening Saturday if you think you’re gonna put up 35 and blow out OSU
@ our QB has not been sacked much even after the Oline issues, y’all will be one dimensional and we will stop the run. Buckeyes 27-13
GO THE BIG ORANGE!!!
+7.5 is looking pretty good
Let’s Go Big Orange it’s Vols all day Everyday!! We Bleed Orange here in Knoxville!!
Not too confident about this game. If Tennessee borrows Michigan’s helmets, then the Buckeyes have no chance. Let’s go Bucks!! We’ve been wanting the SEC up north in the cold for years, so make it count!!
There's no advantage from a weather standpoint. It's COLD in Knoxville this time of the year too.
Yeah, I agree. I grew up in Columbus, but actually spent the last few years in West Knoxville, and you’re right, it’s not much different weather wise.
Playing someone like LSU or Florida would have been more significant weather wise.
@@kylecollins3755 there is a difference you're delusional. It's like saying there is no difference between Ohio and Minnesota or Wisconsin cold. There are levels to this shit.
@@kylecollins3755 I'm originally from Ohio and now live in the Knoxville area. The winters aren't much different here, temperature-wise, but Ohio obviously gets more snowfall.
@@HarryBawse We're not talking about Minnesota or Wisconsin, are we?
So far this season, Tennessee's offense runs the best when they utilize the TE.
What ifs can be said for every team including Lil Bro State
@@joshgaston3802 Tennessee is Little Brother to Ohio State. Historically we have more National Titles, a better all time win percentage. You are in every way still little brother to THE Ohio State Buckeyes. I cant wait to see you rednecks walk out of our stadium holding a nice cold L LMAO
that's right you're delusional if you think you're coming into our house and winning with that douchebag coach. He is just as bad as Ruin Day.
@@joshgaston3802At the end of the day if both teams play bad Ohio State wins, if both teams play their best Ohio State wins by double digits
Many question marks about Tennessee game day preparation, scouting and execution - just take a look at the success of amount of scoreless quarters they had over the last five games indicating that they don't have to complete package! They're not prepared to play and dominate - the Arkansas game approved that!
Cherry picking is dangerous
The very thing that teams hope for in a game, namely crowd noise and support, can also work against the team if they start making stupid errors, disappointing the crowd and causing negative reactions. Look for negative crowd response from OSU folks in Saturday's game. GBO!
It all depends on which OSU team shows up

dont you have all of the favorites picked for your bracket? bro please
I feel like this is for clicks but I appreciate it anyway because I will click on anything vol related. Rabid vol fan here.
I’m just glad we’re in the playoff, but I won’t settle for just a playoff game. I want 4 of them. And I 100% believe we can bear Ohio State. It will all depend on QB play for us. If Nico can play like he has the last 2-3 games and maybe even elevate his play a little we can go up there and beat Ohio State 100%
GBO!
It's hard as a Vol fan to see us losing to Ohio State since every time we play them in Football we beat them.
you’ve played OSU once which was in 1996😂 with one of your best teams ever and you still barely won
@ Everytime we have played 💪🏻
High tempo stays warm in the cold im js
I really don’t get why people don’t think rs freshman going 10-2 in the sec and growing as much as he has deserves any hype or praise. Doesn’t make sense. Not exactly an easy offense to run either
Michigan fans are just sitting back laughing and eating popcorn
Just another name on a sheet of paper, let’s go get this dub
If Niko can get a long ball. He’s due
Im sorry i think GA is the most talented Team in this playoff and if we get pressure on Beck this is a different conversation
No.
Man i truly think TN beats everyone except GA. Hope GA gets beat early
Tennessee will be Legendary simply the best Team in History if they Win this Natty with the road to they will have to travel!!!
They don't call Ohio State soft for nothing Tennessee plays in the SEC them boys are tough go Dawgs 😂❤
Go vols I hope we win it all
Michigan went in and cleaned house. Tennessee can do it too!
Well to be the best you have to beat the best let's go Vols
Ppl think osu will fr win will be a good game but I think we can win this game
Kirby is the only coach that has Josh number.. everyone else good luck. TN is fr
Howard better be ready for a different kind of physical .. Tennessee has knocked out a long list of QBs

Saying you'd take Tennessee to win and to cover against Indiana makes no sense. Win and to cover a line that isn't real? What if they were favored by like 50 and your just, "yup, win and to cover" cause it's the SEC.
We would ve favored by about 6 or 7 and idc if it was 17. TN would smash Indiana, just like OSU did, and I hope we get a chance to prove that to you.
Brother you know Vegas would favor TN over Indiana. Compare the rosters
Vols by 50!!!
@@thawizeman77 if that’s what you actually think and you’d take them to cover that spread then I’d do some bets with you lol I do think y’all would roast Indiana tho
@@GoVol5 yeah Indiana is frauds for sure. But saying, “I’d take them to win and cover” when you don’t know the spread doesn’t make sense. Cause Vegas knows that Indiana would get whooped and he may be giving terrible betting advice or just trying to pander to you sec folks

Osu better wins hands down
Osu better losses hands down
There's no way Tennessee wins the whole thing but they could definitely ruin Ohio State's season. And then if they beat Oregon on the road too the big 10 rep would be ruined. Horrible draw for Tennessee
