What a great demo! Very unique and amazing delay!! Just ordered one through Sweetwater Sound. Wish my 'ole friend Allan Holdsworth (one of my main influences) was still around. Allan loved trying new delays, effects, amps. Always changing, experimenting, modifying his gear...throughout his entire career. Was priceless to see his very first 1982 U.S. IOU tour at the Stone (club) in San Francisco. Thanks again, Pete!
@@PeteThorn, was aware of that last gig you attended which Allan played. It was just too far from my state to try make last minute arrangements for hotel nearby, car rental, ticket, etc., make it to his final gig. Had known Allan was not in good health for quite some time. Was one of the Pledgers to help Allan through a final project which didn't end up well for all involved (take no sides). Very a sad ending to such a legend's career and life. A brilliant genius, guitarist, musician, inventor. Passed away financially broke. Even a very close friend of the family had set up a GoFundMe to help pay for funeral expenses. Was an honor to donate for the cause. Nevertheless, was very fortunate to experience over 20 gigs between 1982 to 1992, while living in the San Francisco Bay area. His 1992 gig was the last time had spoken with Allan. We were discussing his current gear, effects in his racks, his frustrations with trying to stay financially afloat back at that time. His plans and offer to fly to England, record with his friend's band Mark King of Level 42 (monster bass player), upcoming LP (personally recommend to any Allan Holdsworth fan), "Guaranteed." The '83 tour was the first time met Allan in San Francisco. We were both talking about John Coltrane, being fanatics of his sax playing/music. My bass player at the time (originally from Montreal...who went on to work sound production for Neil Young), introduced me to Allan. Have to say Allan and Eric Johnson were two of the most humble and kind musicians ever encountered in my life. Allan's early tours and gigs were mind blowing. Especially the first and second tour (with Jeff Berlin and Chad Wackerman). Chad's another great gent/fantastic drummer, met as well. Also saw Chad once in Frank Zappa's band. Memorable cool gig was on Frank's birthday in San Carlos, CA. At The Circle Star Theater...during his '88 tour. Was pretty tough receiving the news of Allan's passing on April 15th, 2017. Gray Moore was another shocker to hear passing away at the young age of 58, back in 2011. Another major influence. The Thin Lizzy "Black Rose tour" was mind blowing. Gary's final gig at Day on the Green in Oakland, CA. July 4th, 1979. He bailed the tour right after that concert, due to a backstage fallout with Phil Lynott in their trailer. The previous year saw Van Halen's debut '78 tour. Twice in the S.F. Bay Area at Oakland Stadium (Day on the Green festival), Oakland Coliseum, opening for Black Sabbath. Eddie was another guy who was mind blowing to see live back then. Besides Allan Holdsworth, Eddie and I also both loved guitarist John Goodsall of Brand X. If you haven't heard of Brand X, Check them out. Great fusion band from England.
Great marketing move by a great effects company! They've been around forever. I remember seeing and using their equipment in the 90's when I lived in L.A. Thanks for sharing!
Arguably - the nicest sounding "Swells" - I have heard (without a volume pedal). I'll bet, the Ultra-Tap . . . with a Big Sky, would be Ambient-heaven. Great presentation Pete.
Pete, you gotta stop having the best tones - you’re going to make some envious guitarists even more so. Love the pedal, love the synth sounds, love the versatility. Excellent demo.
I am going to have to get this pedal-- this series of pedals. That pad swell thing that you played on the Godin just sold me on this pedal. Such lush and atmospheric sounds, just beautifully inspiring. Pete you know how the bring the best out of the gear you review. Fantastic playing, by the way.
The swell functionality is almost worth the price of admission on its own. It sounds just a tad too digital but i'm guessing there's some analog delay algorithms available. Another interesting and fun vid. Love the channel, thanks Pete!
The swells remind me of Andy Summers GR300 "Tea In The Sahara"....only so much more!! Thank you, Pete, I ordered this pedal right after watching your great demo!
Very cool demo Peter! Everytime I hear ambient pedals I wonder if extraterrestrial communication would be on the specifications list, lol. Thanks again!
Ryra muff clone into Ultratap into UA interface/PT100 plugin! On the clean channel. Very close to the way the plug-in pulls up when you open it, I just switched it to ch 1 and tweaked the tone controls a little
@@PeteThorn I never met you, but I was Chris Johnson’s partner in Hollywood Studio Rentals from 2005-2013. He bought me out and I moved to Hawaii. Chris was very impressed with your playing and clued me in back then. I’m a guitarist and have been following you for awhile now, and have learned some cool things. Thanks and keep it coming!
I don’t but I should do more with this guitar. It’s a really really nice instrument and kind of in a league of its own as far as a stage nylon string. Sounds just great and it’s so easy to play. They make terrific guitars
Note to manufacture' s you better be paying this guy good. Communication skills, product knowledge, experience and talent has another sale. This is my favorite out of the 5 pedals eventide has to offers.😆🤘💪🎸🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Steve actually helped hook me up with these folks for this guitar. I would love to do something with him at some point for them. I feel like I owe them that
Love the music, especially the modulation at the end - wow. Does anyone know if (since apparently this and some of the other pedals like the microshift) are included in the H9 - do you miss out on any sound quality or algorithms for these by just getting the H9?
It’s the other way round in fact - there are more parameters to control in the H9/H3000 version of the algorithms. Sound quality and basic algorithms are the same. I use two H9s but might still get some of the new pedals - cos it’s great having all the knobs to turn instead of using my iPhone!!
Wheres your OX bro? Fryette maybe paid you some money? a little bit more? how bout u share one feature of this box for every dollar you were paid to promote it?
Lol 😂 Jesus Christ get a hold of yourself. My ox is sitting on top of my Top Hat about 2 1/2 feet from my head. Wired in on send two of my switcher where it’s always been, the fryette is on three. Haven’t you got anything better to do, Go write a fucking song or do something useful, don’t come shit in my sandbox. I’ll be over here making music thanks bye

I watched your vids with the Japanese pop star and you were awesome and I have never seen a happier face on you...
Amazing how Pete gets a new sound and his fingers suddenly find the greatest thing to play for that sound
Hey thanks!
Hears it in his head and produces it with his fingers
No lies!

The tone on that last solo with the strat was divine. Great phrasing all over it too!
Arguably - the nicest sounding "Swells" - I have heard (without a volume pedal). I'll bet, the Ultra-Tap . . . with a Big Sky, would be Ambient-heaven. Great presentation Pete.
One of the best sounding delays I've ever heard

Love the ambient sounds on this one. The pads are wild.
nicest dude on youtube. amazing demo Pete! i could listen to you play that intro for hours. thanks for all the time you give us :)
Thanks, Pete! I always appreciate (and trust) your demo/reviews. Helps me greatly when choosing gear.
man nobody does gear demos like you. They're always bang on. The GOAT
Thank you for your support!
I can never proceed to watch the rest of videos before listening the intro tracks at least 2-3 times. You are awesome, sir.
Thank you very much! Glad you like the music
Very cool intro song! Love the nylon string and spacey Stratocaster sound.
I absolutely love your methodology, and your cast. Good show, and I hope that people pay attention!
Great vibe in the intro Pete 👌
The Godin nylon sounded pretty nice, well along with everything else for that matter. Thanks.
Love the changes and solo on the outro. Awesome work!
Love the choices you make in your parts! So insipring.

as soon as you turn it on :D

That last solo had a pinch of Eric Johnson in it !! Beautiful Pete !!
Thanks!
Absolutely gorgeous track Pete, your musicianship on this one knocked it right out of the park!
Thank u!
Very cool pedal, I miss my H9...definitely wanting the Gravity, Micropitch and now this delay just tops the list.
Both you and the venerable Mike Hermans doing great, differing, reviews of this in the same week. Sounds really great.
Another great pedal and demo, thanks as always Pete. 👍🤘
Loved the Godin Pete! Nice change. Interesting delays.
Thanks!
Sounds Great 👌🏻 Thank You Pete 👍🏻

Yeah!! Well spotted
Very cool demo Peter! Everytime I hear ambient pedals I wonder if extraterrestrial communication would be on the specifications list, lol. Thanks again!
Very “Landau” swells in the beginning. Sounds great
Great job Pete.
I learn a lot of tips from you.
You do a good job Pete. ❤ Isfree.
killer, man. vid and tones and effection
smear....I love it. Great work my friend.
That Godin sounds great with the pedal!
Godin sounds amazing, great job on this video.
Thanks!
Great demo and a beautiful arrangement. Plus, I NEED that Godin nylon in my life!

Hi Pete, so happy to see that Godin played by a Canadian Legend. Wondering if you have reviews on these wonderful guitars?

Great job Pete.

Both of them. In the near future, Pete me and you need to hook up.

Thanks Pete. You should play the Godin more often mate it's awesome....also the pedal is cool!!
It reminds me of my Eventide Space. Use it with my Moog and Epi LP.
The SpAce is an instrument itself
Beautiful Godin. I'd love to buy a Godin electric but I'm a lefty and they make almost nothing in left.
Oh Mr. Pete...yes it’s a cool pedal but, your playing is always amazing! Thank you for sharing.
I’ll have to get more into my H9!
Awesome! I love delay, but find I'm gun-shy and don't like committing to it before the mix...I love my plug ins though!
Eventide 🤤 mmm . The algorithms of excellence
I could also get used to hearing Pete play some acoustic stuff too
You keep that alive-----1979 'In the evening'------2021 Pete.............................
I love that tune.
You make any pedal rock!
H9 = best pedal of the last decade
Getting into some Iron Butterfly stuff there
The master!
It reminds me of Secret Journey intro by Andy Summers
Hi I’m Pete Thorn, everything I play sounds amazing - because I AM AMAZING 😎
Pete, good work as always. Wanted to ask what electric nylon string is that you’re using?
Very nice demo, this pedal sounds great with the Godin nylon. One day you should do a little nylon guitar duet with Steve Stevens ... 😎
Steve actually helped hook me up with these folks for this guitar. I would love to do something with him at some point for them. I feel like I owe them that
Reminds me of Andy Summers on Ghost in the Machine.

@@morrisfraser7236 Thanks. That is what I was hoping as I would prefer just getting the H9 with the flexibility to use these various pedal sounds.
Hi Pete,
Between the eventide rose and the Ultra tap. If you have to pick it for lead guitar playing which one will you pick?
Depends on what your style a lot and your tweaking abilities
One pedal between this and the Blackhole for ambient music, what would be a better choice?
Either are killer for that
It is possible to achieve the famous Circular delays and Pan delays with this pedal?
Pan yes, circular not exacñy
Sounds really musical and seems to get ot of the way sonically, if that makes sense.
Is the white noise at the beginning coming from the pedal?
Great demo! But, I just don’t see the point of this pedal line. For the price of two pedals you could get an H9.
Nice!
Hello, would the Eventide Eclipse have that pedal's capabilities?
Going all Steve Stevens (nylon w/heavy fx...no flamenco though)
Very nice. Reminiscent of Jeff Beck
역시 최고입니다
Ever grate!!! ♥️🎸
Independent control of wave parameters.
A Tribute to the Great Eventide H3000 Series of the 80s
are these digital or analog?
Gloriously digital
Why do these have to be so expensive!!!
