If Alfred must truly remain dead this time, then i am proud that this is where he made his final hurrah. Bruce is definitely at his lowest at this point, probably the lowest he’s been in a long time. But at his darkest hour, when he’s been poisoned and likely on death’s door, he isn’t greeted by his father, his mother, a former comrade, or some ancient entity tied to his mantle. It’s a butler, an old gentleman who served his country proudly before becoming a father to a lost boy. It’s time to let go, Bruce. Move forward, and do what you do best.
This is the best Batman moment i can recall. The slap is funny, the moment is inspiring and it in a way recontextualizes why bruce became Batman. Its not he beats up criminals cause his parents were murdered its that he beats up criminals to prevent other lives from being lost and more people being thrown into the darkness he experienced and was fortunate not to have drowned in. In terms of the scene overall its heartbreaking to be sure. If Alfred stays dead this is basically his goodbye, and much like everything else Alfred did that in impeccable fashion.
You know, I wasn't a big fan of the Joker War, but maybe if it had been voiced like this, with these two acting as Bruce/Batman, and Alfred, I would have enjoyed it much, much more! Love this freaking channel! Thank you, Adam and Graham!
You stay carrying my channel bro🤣 Thank you so much for helping me out on this I just wish the algorithm pushed this more so that people could see your acting chops as Alfred
Graham Rowat is really killing it as Batman also Adam McLaughlin too. But Dang that's a good Batman voice I think I could listen to his Batman voice for hours on end. (Pss nice editing also :)
It’s already been said but this was beautifully written. It really shows why Bruce became Batman, and why he’s so hard on himself and those he trusts most. But most importantly it shows the bond between father and son. And sadly, every son’s greatest fear, the loss of a father. I’m glad DC was willing to let Bruce and Alfred admit their relationship bc it will force Bruce to admit he knows how to be a father to his adopted sons. There shouldn’t be an excuse for neglecting those he’s taken under his wing and he can’t expect Alfred to do it for him. Here’s to hoping we see Batman evolve just a little bit. And as always, thanks to the team for putting this together! You’re the most professional motion comic team on RUclips!
There was a slight word misread. Alfred ended up saying that "...the town loved him so much when it was supposed to be "...the town you love so much..."
Wow I totally forgot how emotional this scene, it was 2 years ago when Joker war happened and many bad things happened to Batman and his family to the point I start to think how will he get out of this mess and then this scene reminds me that Bruce already promised here to get his family and his love and that every life that is saved is truly victory over death
Damn, it’s good to have this experience again, I remember reading this and I still love this moment even more hearing it with this type of atmosphere you convey here. Truly a masterpiece 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Alfred I know you’re gone. You may not have special superpowers. You may not be a queen a king a cyborg, a wizard or Batman. Out of all comic books you’re the most greatest superhero in the world you’re just you and you can be as great as you can. You don’t need any fancy gadget, Cybernetics, the speed force, a book of spells or to be from krypton or a green ring. Your special because you’re human, you can do whatever you want you’re more of a father than everyone else Damian Wayne,Jason Todd,Tim Drake,Dick Grayson,Stephanie Brown,Carrie Kelley,Duke Thomas,Lance Brune, Matt McGinnis,Clark Wayne. And all the comic books readers who don’t have a father or which they had a dad like you or grandpa or a cool uncle , Batman will be OK. Bruce Wayne will be OK. You can finally rest and see Thomas and Martha and tell them what their son became and how he’s so proud of him.
@@therussiancomicbookgeek I can see why you adapted this part. Your voice actors are incredible. I know I say that a lot, but a Batman story has never made me feel like this before.

Thats such a great final shot, though.
None of us will ever be the same without you Alfred😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Adam did a great job as Alfred. I know he did great as Moon Knight in the Warren Ellis run, but I’m surprised how well he worked for Alfred.
He plaid Alfred for me in a bunch of different large Batman projects
