    And my usual mistake is to add the remote repo as ... and not git... that changes a lot of things as you can no longer connect using username / password. So copying and pasting the line provided by git is clearly the best thing to do.

    I though VSCode had a tool to create the branch connected to an issue from their interface instead of going github to create it. (I'm not using it though ;-)

      Probably? Every time I've tried using something that's not the terminal or the web app though, things end up not working. At this point I've just given up and decided to channel my inner boomer about it lmao.
