The S3/M4 is a type of metro/light rail train from the Amsterdam metro system, operated by GVB and was build by CAF in Spain in 1996 for Ring line 50, but is now used on all lines except the new line 52(North/South line).
Personally my favorite since i was very young, because of the sound and design!

The Metropolis Metros have the best sound in my opinion. In general the M5s are very well done.

I like the MVM-81-717-714, not doubting this train, it just sounds better for me.
I'm actually fond of the Bombardier traction motors used in the DC (WMATA) 5000 series trains, as well as the 2009 Stock on the Victoria Line (TfL London Underground), and certain TfL London Overground trains. You also hear them on the T1 trains in use on the Toronto TTC.

"T1"... don't you mean Toronto Rocket (or TR for short)? T1 uses AEG-Westinghouse/Adtranz GTO-VVVF, which of course doesn't sound the same.

You should try Helsinki metro M100 series.
The Bombardiers BM2 from the Bucharest Metro sound the best to me, it's not even close. Maybe comparable to the Stockholm metro but the color design is so sleek as well.

These have a similar sound to the Helsinki Metro M200s, especially at the start. And the S1 and S2s have a similar sound to Helsinki's M100.
I think China Hong Kong MTR's Tung Chung Line A-Train has a very good motor sound

These sound a lot like the Helsinki Metro M200 series. Interestingly the ones in Rotterdam sound exactly the same.

It sounds very good and I have no doubt about them, but I like the Alstom M6 a lot more since in Venezuela we have a variant of the Metropolis called S90000 that uses the same engines as the M6 and sounds fantastically good, and if it is the oldest one I invite you to watch videos of the Metro de Caracas where the Alstom Metropolis series S10000 and S20000 appear, which for me are the best sound of classic urban trains, excellent video and cheers from Venezuela.

Its interesting, but i still think the London Underground Jubilee Line '1996 Stock' and Southeastern Metro 'Networker's have the best traction motor sounds anywhere.

True! I like this Amsterdam sound too but the Jubilee Line 1996 Stock is for me the best! The door opening/closing sounds and the traction sound are the best!

The transistor used in this VVVF is IGBT because IGBT has a much higher switching frequency, giving it the ability to make a higher sound.

Man, do these trains make quick high-pitched upshifts and downshifts when accelerating and decelerating! How many speeds are these 'racing trains'? I can hear six.
I am just having some fun. I know there is no gearbox. It is the variable frequency traction inverters. The gear-changing sound is the inverters changing the rate of pulsing according to the power and efficiency needs of the motors and inverters and to make sure the inverter transistors (the device that actually pulse) do not overwork and overheat. It is kinda similar to how gears keep changing in a car to not make the engine RPM too high and lose power and torque.
Interesting sound. My personal favorite metro sounds are the NYC R160A and R160B subway cars.
Yeah, for me it’s the R142A/R143/R188 and R160Bs.
A bit whiny and high pitched for my liking but at least it's not boring (unlike other modern trains...)
My favourite train with AC motors is the British Rail 465/466 with Alstom motors or the now-gone 365. Those three are all from the same family.
My favourite train with DC motors is the British Rail 319 with its awesome chopper sounds.

The doors are lliterally the same as MTR A-train
I still prefer the sound of Berlin S-Bahn, which is also similar to Market-Frankford Line in Philadelphia. The Jubilee line sounds similar to the Mark I Vancouver Skytrain stock but not quite as dramatic.

Huey je kon hereneren dat in station duivendrecht jankend geluid tijdelijk was van 5 en 4 jaar van de metro m4 in de zilvermeeuw 2007 2008 gekomen 9 oktober 2012 hadden ze wegehaald toen die in 2007 was gekomen in station duivendrecht op de metro spoor regting gein aan de andere kant hadden ze 18 oktober 2012 wegehaald toen die in 2008 was gekomen in station duivendrecht op de metro spoor regting isolatorweg in centraal station

No way CAF would use over 15 year old inverter for new metro trains, I’m sure they’ve made a new inverter during the time…
You mean M200? Those sound similar to these, not M300.
