To me, it smells and tastes a lot like cooked seaweed does. I'm not usually a big fan of seaweed, but I think houjicha is delicious and unique. Definitely worth seeking out if you're a green tea lover.
@Ouronok Unfortunately I have to pay a high import tax for my country to buy from that shop. Besides I can get a lot of other Japanese teas just not Hoji-cha.

I remember at the Japanese café I used to work, we were known for making amazing Green Teas (all kinds) and Hojicha lattes, unfortunately we needed a shorter version of the process so we used powder instead of leaving the tea to make the infusion and so. Loved seeing how it's actually made though. Thanks a lot for this, looking forward your next video!

Usually, Green tea or any kind of Japanese tea leaves including Hojicha leaves are sold packed in that type of containers.
