I think because of the language barrier he is most likely referring to Volkanovski’s size overall. He’s shorter than Ilia. Volk is a champ for a reason, however, Ilia is a well rounded fighter, and he does have a good chance against Volk. It would be an amazing fight.
He has nothing Volk has never seen before. Not on the ground, not in the standup, nothing. Ilia will get destroyed by Volk, and even by Max. So I dont get why he wants to rush into a fight with a prime Volk, when he could take one or two more easy fights, and let Volk age a little bit.
