  • I have had a lot of fun at my local thrift store - 2 shops at 30% off and with names like Stephen King, Starhawk, Hans Holzer and others, hard to pass up the deals. But sadly as I literally have to put some money where my mouth is (night guard) may have to take a break from book buying

Hi Kevin - lol - yes 3 big shops over a month and now you know why I should wait to do the other tag and shop 🤭🤣King collections were a massive savings for sure. Nice to know about Deception Point - I did notice dogs on the first page and am wondering about the read as I need to know the dogs are all good. Thank you for the comment and watch, much appreciated.

Love looking in the charity shops in the uk, such good value and range of genres. Have come across a few new authors to me this way. And of course money goes to good causes.

Hi Jo - welcome and thank you for the comment. Glad to hear about the charity shops in the UK in your area. Others have said they don't have much selection but they live in a small area so that could be why. I agree about coming across new authors - I have discovered many this way picking up books I would not have been looking for at the bookstore or considered at a higher price. I also appreciate that the money goes to a variety of great causes.

Quite an eclectic book haul. With your interest in Ancient Egypt, I wonder if you've come across Agatha Christie's: "Death Comes as the End" - a friend of the Mallowans, Professor Stephen Glanville persuaded her to write the crime novel set in Egypt of four thousand years ago.
I have that Star Trek: TNG Companion...and the preceding two editions; a veritable wealth of information on the series - to my mind; Star Trek at it's finest.

Hi Andrew - yes I love finding books from a variety of genres - about the only ones I don't read are romance, westerns and rarely biographies. I haven't read many Agatha Christie and I need to revisit her and look for that one in particular - thank you for the recommend. Sounds interesting.
Excellent to know the Star Trek books are a great find. Lucky for me I was shopping the day they arrived and were still on the shelf. Love that synchronicity.
