Sometimes ..if you don't have a piece of pipe..for a cheeter pipe on your visegrips ..a deep 1/2 drive socket with an extension on it ...👍👏👍

from what i remember clutch plates are supposed to be soaked for 24hrs in eng oil

Have you thought about unbolting the entire gas cap assembly and putting it in an ultrasonic cleaner?

I would love to. I can't get the gas cap off without unlocking and removing the cap first. that's why I am stuck. Unless I am missing something - which is viable
