NIV rainbow study Bible is what got me to regular Bible reading - the colors helped me focus and stay engaged! I didn't even really pay attention to what the colors meant - just seeing color kept me interested!
I am so happy to see that there are still many Christians close to my age! I really like the Rainbow Bible you had! I sometimes find it hard to focus on the Bible because of how small the letters are and have lost my place reading many times. The rainbow will help me focus or at least remember what passage I was on.🤣 Also,there is nothing wrong with having many Bibles! No one has a right to judge you for that. I'm also sorry that you were treated badly at church. Sometimes people in church tend to say hurtful things or judge people more than others. All we can do is pray for them and hope they learn to be kinder.
i own hundreds of bibles of different versions and translations. i appreciate that god allowed me these. i compare them and use them and learn from god thru them. no apologies from me. god knows what he is doing. he is causing my spirit to grow. y

I have about 10 Bibles collected over 20yrs, and we have 50+ in our house because my dad has been collecting them for 50yrs. The Bible is one of the few books that having multiple copies is 100% a good thing lol. Personally I chant merge the “art” and “study” of “Bible journaling,” so I have one dedicated to art and a “journaling” Bible (that one with the leaf cover) that I pack with a ton of study notes. Personally I prefer ESV but don’t understand anyone “preaching against” KJV any more than those who advocate it as the only “correct” Bible. KJV or NKJ are wonderful for memorizing in particular, the trick is making sure you can understand it since it is an archaic version of English and the words don’t mean entirely the same thing as they do today.
Maybe I’m picky… The closest we can get to a “picture” of Jesus Christ is actually nothing more than an illustration of Him. It’s ridiculous for anyone to object to your drawing. I think that it’s very well done 🌺

Long story short, I am a 29-year-old young man at the time of writing this comment. Jesus met me back in 2017 (at age 21), softened my heart and He now lives with me. He met me in my room, actually and I literally cried out for Him. The thing is, I knew the Gospel message, but my heart was closed off. I used to live with my unbelieving parents but not anymore. I got my very first physical Bible about a month ago and I have never been happier in my entire life. I read it almost daily and it has been such a blessing, to be honest. Prior to that, I had to read my Bible in secret and there was no way for me to even get my hands on a Bible. Why am I telling you this, even? Because I want you to understand how grateful I am you didn't have to go through the ordeal I had to go through, Cara. Actually, it just makes me teary-eyed to see you have been blessed by your Bible reading all these years. You have grown in Wisdom and are boldly sharing your passion for the Word. It is heartwrenching you were judged based on the Bible version you read, Cara. I read the KJV too, because I love how poetic it is. Actually, the only Bible I own is a KJV, but I also enjoy the ESV, the NIV and so on. Guys, if anyone is feeling lonely and helpless as I did eight years ago, listen: God knows about every single thought and tear you shed, about your fears and struggles. Read Psalm 139 and believe He knows you best. Even better than your earthly parents. You are never alone. Secondly, any Bible translation will do so long as you can understand it and actively read it. You don't have to splash out on a cow or whatever animal hide version if you are starting out: my Bible literally cost less than two overpriced, watered-down Starbucks coffees (I live across the Pond, so not sure if the rumours about US coffee hold!). Anyway, read the Bible every day. Get yourself ONE physical copy because Amos says there will be a famine for God's Word. That is all I had to say. I also went to a church that was against kjv then I left and went back to kjv lol I just love it idk why..no other version compares to me. Even Tho I am branching out on other translations. I cross reference the csb,nkjv,esv and nasb but kjv is home to me.
You don't ever need to feel you have to explain or apologize for how many Bibles you have! No one has any right whatsoever to judge you on that, and if they do, then they need to repent!! Your Bibles clearly show how much you read, study, and love God's Word and it is so inspiring to see someone so young (I'm 61!) being so enthusiastic and excited about their Christian walk! I am so sorry you have been treated badly in church.....not everyone who goes to church is actually a Christian and also every genuine Christian at a church is at a different level of growth and maturity in their walk with God, so we have to remind ourselves to be patient with some of them. Some of them are baby Christians and don't yet know better. As for the drawing of Jesus, I think it is so good! You really are very talented. If anyone accuses you again of making an 'idol' of it you should question them about any photos of family they might have displayed in their homes, or on their phones, and ask them if they just might be worshipping those images! It is absolutely no different. They are just visual helps to worshipping God and some of us need that more than others to stay focused! God bless you as you strive to follow Him! Love your collection. I prefer a journaling Bible as well. I like to write scripture and put stickers in them. Have you seen the illuminated scripture journal sets? You can order them one book at a time separately and they are beautiful.

Ok, so at 15:19 I watched your hair suddenly look like it was being pulled. Then your face said it all! Lol! 🤣😂 I knew that crazy little one was still in your room and I knew it had to be her! That was hilarious and adorable!!! 😻😻😻 That's a nice collection! When I first got saved back in 2008, I started buying a bunch of Bibles from Goodwill, St. Vinnie's, yard sales, wherever I came across them cheap. At one point I think I had about 20. However, I bought them with the intention of giving them away. And that's exactly what I did with most of them. Every time God showed me someone who was ready to hear His word, or whenever I just felt like sharing, I would talk to them about how their eternal life is happening either way, and where they choose to spend it is up to them, etc. Usually it would start with a specific issue they were dealing with at that time, then it would progress. When the time was right, I gave them a Bible and let them choose it usually too. My personal favorite was a homeless guy. I had an appointment that day and I gave myself plenty of time. So I'm walking down State Street in Madison, which is a hub for the homeless. Lots of singers/musicians, artists, some just sat and begged. But God told me very clearly to take this man to lunch. There were 3 guys standing together but I knew which one. My appointment was in 30 minutes so I didn't have lots of time left because I still had to walk back to the car, drive through several streets, park, go inside, etc.... It all takes time, right? But God told me to feed this man! I said ok... I walked up to him and said something along the lines of, "do you like Subway? We're going to go have lunch together." Not surprisingly, he said yes and just started walking with me to Subway. We went inside and he shared his story. This guy was not a seasoned homeless person. But he was most definitely homeless. I shared with him how God told me to feed him and now I knew why. I got his phone number, gave him some cash (I don't remember for sure, but I believe it was like $20). I told him the cash should more than cover what he may have made during the time we ate. I somehow made it to my appointment with a couple minutes to spare! In hindsight, it seems like God actually slowed down time for me so there would be enough. Every time I think of it, there's just no possible way I could have done all that and been on time, no way! Anyway, I prayed with him before parting ways too. He needed his driver license to be renewed in order to start working a job he had before it was suspended/expired/whatever it was, I don't remember. I happened to have money that week and I prayed about it and I knew that's why God sent me to this man. I called him the next day, arranged to meet at Starbucks, bought us both coffee, and headed to the DMV. Even though I knew it was from God, I still felt the need to be wise about the whole thing. So we went, he filled out his paperwork, did his thing, and I was just there to hand over the money. We talked on the way back downtown. He said the job was already his, he just needed his license to be valid. He seemed really shocked and humble about everything. Who does what I just did? God's people do, of course! Anyway, I gave him a Bible before we parted ways. I prayed with him, for him again. I checked back in his area of State Street several times over the next couple months and never saw him again. I can only assume that he was working and hopefully got his own apartment.... I left out the rest of his story, the reason he was homeless. His wife had basically screwed him over, just up and left, took everything with her. He couldn't afford the house by himself so that got taken by the bank. I don't know what happened with the license but it caused him to lose his job.... Anyway, I genuinely hope he has found God by now. That was like 7 or 8 years ago now.... Craziness! 💙💙💙

Hahaha :) I can tell that Christ’s light has definitely shined through you and has definitely affected others! I am so grateful for people like you! I will be praying for that man that you so selflessly helped! I have to tell you, you have made an impact on me and my walk with God, and I only know you through RUclips! I remember about a year ago when I was dreaming big and letting God take the wheel with this whole RUclips thing. Satan definitely began to insert questioning into my life, and I began really struggling with whether or not RUclips was something that the Father was calling me to do. I was staying up late at night pondering, and what might seen to some as a petty problem, it became a huge source of stress and anxiety to me! I remember very vividly reading one of your comments telling me not to give up, and it was almost as if God had used you specifically to talk straight to me! Never stop being a light for the Lord! You make a difference, if you didn’t know! Your life holds so much value because of the fact that you allow God to work and do so much through you! On the kjv store there's a bible called the Common Man's Bible that is a study bible, which has great notes, and even if you don't use the notes, it has huge margins all the way around for note taking. I love it.

My Bible is a beast. I highlight and annotate. It also has a duct tape cover with compartments for markers, notepads and biblical art work . It has two bookmarks made from survival cord for both testaments. It has a "Heavens Metal" look for uniqueness.
The English readers of the bible have so much grace to have all these offers because in French we have more bible with thin pages and not dedicate for drawing! I kinda like you: i like write my thoughts,prayers,ideas in the Bible and highlight a lot! I wish one day I can draw but now i just colo,tape and draw little symbols❤ I have 3 standard bible and a Bible study and I love write in them but they aren't made tfor this so your ideas of paper that can flip,I think I can steal it fo a good use☺👌 Stay blessed and I pray God that you grow in more knowledge and love🔥

I've watched many videos on this topic on many channels, and I'm still unsure of what journaling and notes people may take in their Bibles. I can't think of any examples I would journal about. Can you give me a few examples for better understanding, please?
Of course! I write a few things: 1. How is this applicable to me? What is God saying to MY life specifically in this verse/passage? 2. How does this relate to those around me? How can I better be there for those around me based off of experiences from the Bible? 3. How does this show God’s love for me? It’s amazing seeing how many times within the Bible God shows his love and appreciation of us. 4. What is the history? It’s so important to keep things IN context! 5. What “sticks out” to me? What is jumping from the pages in my mind? The Bible is one of the ways God talks to us, so I allow myself to be quiet with the Word for God to intervene! 6. How can this better lead me to God and honoring Him? Bits of wisdom in the Bible could be just what some need to hear! I hope this helps. ❤️

I have alot Bibles!!!!! I love them. Nothing wrong with having alot of Bibles. You learn from each ones something different word of God! iam keep buying Bibles is my hobbies!!!!! Start giving them so people can know the word of God is alive and real. Soul & Salvation is important to have clean heart with the holy spirit. Leaving with nothing. Came empty and leaving empty. Nothing will change this. How much money you have! Can't take your soul to heaven if that's all your thinking about all the time. God looking at everyone what there doing for material stuffs doesn't not matter! Is your heart clean or dirty of this world? Have a clean cup? Go to heaven live with God for eternity? I ask is my question? What's in important. We are just travel pass here on earth. Staying here for long what will happens to everyone here soon or later think smart everything belong to Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only him........... Nobody can't go to the Father only him.

Sister do not be concerned with what others think. Be concerned only with what Yahweh thinks. I have 10, that's TEN, Bibles and I still want more. I want more for my own collection plus some to give away. There is NOTHING wrong with collecting Bibles 😊. Matter of fact I JUST received 3 of those Bibles today; She Reads Truth (rose gold), The Jesus Bible (NIV), and The Rainbow Study Bible (NIV).

It really is a struggle. The reason I have had it so bad is bc of abuse in my life and pride. I'm a work in progress but I've healed a LOT all glory and thanks to HIM!

I am a first time student of the Word & I love the study Bible but I want a separate plain Bible with no notes just to read in (maybe take notes) - I want to just read through it normally & then use the others to go in depth - I’m wondering if I should make this another NLT or NIV. Just wondering your opinions on what a good plain Bible is & what I mentioned above😊I know Zondervan NIV Journal the Word Bible is popular & Tyndale has some NLT’s. Thank you!!!

I’m sorry to say but any rendition of Jesus is an imagery. God never described how Jesus looked like. This is worshipping an idol. Very sorry but pray about it. Jesus looks nothing like this if anything all who follow him is reflecting Him in how we live and serve Him.

Anyway, read the Bible every day. Get yourself ONE physical copy because Amos says there will be a famine for God's Word. That is all I had to say. No need for it to be a study Bible even: just get the Word in. Realise it is a gift not many of us had access to from the get-go.

I also went to a church that was against kjv then I left and went back to kjv lol I just love it idk why..no other version compares to me. Even Tho I am branching out on other translations. I cross reference the csb,nkjv,esv and nasb but kjv is home to me.
You don't ever need to feel you have to explain or apologize for how many Bibles you have! No one has any right whatsoever to judge you on that, and if they do, then they need to repent!! Your Bibles clearly show how much you read, study, and love God's Word and it is so inspiring to see someone so young (I'm 61!) being so enthusiastic and excited about their Christian walk! I am so sorry you have been treated badly in church.....not everyone who goes to church is actually a Christian and also every genuine Christian at a church is at a different level of growth and maturity in their walk with God, so we have to remind ourselves to be patient with some of them. Some of them are baby Christians and don't yet know better. As for the drawing of Jesus, I think it is so good! You really are very talented. If anyone accuses you again of making an 'idol' of it you should question them about any photos of family they might have displayed in their homes, or on their phones, and ask them if they just might be worshipping those images! It is absolutely no different. They are just visual helps to worshipping God and some of us need that more than others to stay focused! God bless you as you strive to follow Him! Love your collection. I prefer a journaling Bible as well. I like to write scripture and put stickers in them. Have you seen the illuminated scripture journal sets? You can order them one book at a time separately and they are beautiful.

Ok, so at 15:19 I watched your hair suddenly look like it was being pulled. Then your face said it all! Lol! 🤣😂 I knew that crazy little one was still in your room and I knew it had to be her! That was hilarious and adorable!!! 😻😻😻 That's a nice collection! When I first got saved back in 2008, I started buying a bunch of Bibles from Goodwill, St. Vinnie's, yard sales, wherever I came across them cheap. At one point I think I had about 20. However, I bought them with the intention of giving them away. And that's exactly what I did with most of them. Every time God showed me someone who was ready to hear His word, or whenever I just felt like sharing, I would talk to them about how their eternal life is happening either way, and where they choose to spend it is up to them, etc. Usually it would start with a specific issue they were dealing with at that time, then it would progress. When the time was right, I gave them a Bible and let them choose it usually too. My personal favorite was a homeless guy. I had an appointment that day and I gave myself plenty of time. So I'm walking down State Street in Madison, which is a hub for the homeless. Lots of singers/musicians, artists, some just sat and begged. But God told me very clearly to take this man to lunch. There were 3 guys standing together but I knew which one. My appointment was in 30 minutes so I didn't have lots of time left because I still had to walk back to the car, drive through several streets, park, go inside, etc.... It all takes time, right? But God told me to feed this man! I said ok... I walked up to him and said something along the lines of, "do you like Subway? We're going to go have lunch together." Not surprisingly, he said yes and just started walking with me to Subway. We went inside and he shared his story. This guy was not a seasoned homeless person. But he was most definitely homeless. I shared with him how God told me to feed him and now I knew why. I got his phone number, gave him some cash (I don't remember for sure, but I believe it was like $20). I told him the cash should more than cover what he may have made during the time we ate. I somehow made it to my appointment with a couple minutes to spare! In hindsight, it seems like God actually slowed down time for me so there would be enough. Every time I think of it, there's just no possible way I could have done all that and been on time, no way! Anyway, I prayed with him before parting ways too. He needed his driver license to be renewed in order to start working a job he had before it was suspended/expired/whatever it was, I don't remember. I happened to have money that week and I prayed about it and I knew that's why God sent me to this man. I called him the next day, arranged to meet at Starbucks, bought us both coffee, and headed to the DMV. Even though I knew it was from God, I still felt the need to be wise about the whole thing. So we went, he filled out his paperwork, did his thing, and I was just there to hand over the money. We talked on the way back downtown. He said the job was already his, he just needed his license to be valid. He seemed really shocked and humble about everything. Who does what I just did? God's people do, of course! Anyway, I gave him a Bible before we parted ways. I prayed with him, for him again. I checked back in his area of State Street several times over the next couple months and never saw him again. I can only assume that he was working and hopefully got his own apartment.... I left out the rest of his story, the reason he was homeless. His wife had basically screwed him over, just up and left, took everything with her. He couldn't afford the house by himself so that got taken by the bank. I don't know what happened with the license but it caused him to lose his job.... Anyway, I genuinely hope he has found God by now. That was like 7 or 8 years ago now.... Craziness! 💙💙💙

Hahaha :) I can tell that Christ’s light has definitely shined through you and has definitely affected others! I am so grateful for people like you! I will be praying for that man that you so selflessly helped! I have to tell you, you have made an impact on me and my walk with God, and I only know you through RUclips! I remember about a year ago when I was dreaming big and letting God take the wheel with this whole RUclips thing. Satan definitely began to insert questioning into my life, and I began really struggling with whether or not RUclips was something that the Father was calling me to do. I was staying up late at night pondering, and what might seen to some as a petty problem, it became a huge source of stress and anxiety to me! I remember very vividly reading one of your comments telling me not to give up, and it was almost as if God had used you specifically to talk straight to me! Never stop being a light for the Lord! You make a difference, if you didn’t know! Your life holds so much value because of the fact that you allow God to work and do so much through you! The world would be a brighter place if everyone were to have your mentality! God bless, my friend! Thank you again!

On the kjv store there's a bible called the Common Man's Bible that is a study bible, which has great notes, and even if you don't use the notes, it has huge margins all the way around for note taking. I love it.

My Bible is a beast. I highlight and annotate. It also has a duct tape cover with compartments for markers, notepads and biblical art work . It has two bookmarks made from survival cord for both testaments. It has a "Heavens Metal" look for uniqueness.

I've watched many videos on this topic on many channels, and I'm still unsure of what journaling and notes people may take in their Bibles. I can't think of any examples I would journal about.
Can you give me a few examples for better understanding, please?
Of course!
I write a few things:
1. How is this applicable to me? What is God saying to MY life specifically in this verse/passage?
2. How does this relate to those around me? How can I better be there for those around me based off of experiences from the Bible?
3. How does this show God’s love for me? It’s amazing seeing how many times within the Bible God shows his love and appreciation of us.
4. What is the history? It’s so important to keep things IN context!
5. What “sticks out” to me? What is jumping from the pages in my mind? The Bible is one of the ways God talks to us, so I allow myself to be quiet with the Word for God to intervene!
6. How can this better lead me to God and honoring Him? Bits of wisdom in the Bible could be just what some need to hear!

Nothing will change this. How much money you have! Can't take your soul to heaven if that's all your thinking about all the time. God looking at everyone what there doing for material stuffs doesn't not matter! Is your heart clean or dirty of this world? Have a clean cup? Go to heaven live with God for eternity? I ask is my question? What's in important. We are just travel pass here on earth. Sister do not be concerned with what others think. Be concerned only with what Yahweh thinks. I have 10, that's TEN, Bibles and I still want more. I want more for my own collection plus some to give away. There is NOTHING wrong with collecting Bibles 😊. Matter of fact I JUST received 3 of those Bibles today; She Reads Truth (rose gold), The Jesus Bible (NIV), and The Rainbow Study Bible (NIV).

It really is a struggle. The reason I have had it so bad is bc of abuse in my life and pride. I'm a work in progress but I've healed a LOT all glory and thanks to HIM!

I already have the Tyndale NLT Life Application Study Bible as well as Joyce Meyer Battlefield of the Mind Amplified Bible. I am a first time student of the Word & I love the study Bible but I want a separate plain Bible with no notes just to read in (maybe take notes) - I want to just read through it normally & then use the others to go in depth - I’m wondering if I should make this another NLT or NIV.

Hey!! I have never read that in scripture! If you could quote a scripture for me, I’d greatly appreciate it! I think it’s unfair to say journaling and notating is disrespectful, as we are told to live and breathe the word of God. There is no verse I’ve found that says otherwise. :)

I’m sorry to say but any rendition of Jesus is an imagery. God never described how Jesus looked like. This is worshipping an idol. Very sorry but pray about it. Jesus looks nothing like this if anything all who follow him is reflecting Him in how we live and serve Him.
Hey, Stacy-Ann! As I mentioned in the video, I am not worshipping this image at all. If I were worshipping this or viewing this image as an idol, I would absolutely agree! That is just simply not the case here! I am totally confident in my walk with the Lord. I have prayed about it and feel as though I have complete peace and clarity in the way I depict my faith.
Like you said, God never described what Jesus looked like, so who’s to say it looks nothing like him? :)
I understand your concern, but please do not question my prayer life due to assumptions over art - which is something I have definitely prayed and spent time with God over.
