Monoma is thought to have a side character quirk because he has to rely on others to use his quirk, so not self-sufficient for his ability. I like how in the flashback we got to see more of the vulnerable side of Monoma. He plays up his persona as a means to use his ability by riling people up so he can try to copy their abilities (as we've seen since sports festival in S2). But also a way to mask a sense of inferiority he has as someone who has to rely on others for his quirk and gives more context of why he's competitive with class A.
Also, he had to actually use other ppl's quirk in the instant, to know how other quirks works must be a hard brain work.....(is that why he always acts so crazy? lol )
As someone who has been a massive Monoma fan every since he was introduced, this stuff was so PEAK for me. I remember being kinda disappointed that Monoma was introduced as this super calm and super intelligent guy and then very quickly became more like a gag in every instance after his appearance. But then one day Hori made a comment that Monoma and Shinsou would have big moments in the future. So I waited. And this did NOT disappoint. Monoma warps the heroes in, splits the villains up, hops over to Aizawa and then IMMEDIATELY has Shigaraki on lockdown. MVP Monoma for the win. I get it. Everyone is playing their part in this. But like, if Monoma wasn't here, Shigaraki could literally just insta-decay the battlefield and all of this planning wouldn't matter. I'm sure some people will come around to him after this episode. But as someone who's been a fan of his since the beginning, this episode was especially rewarding. He's the star.
Now then, that's enough Monoma analysis. Time for the others. Toga snatched Deku and threw a huge wrench in the entire operation. AFO roasting Endeavor for once again looking away from Touya and forcing the burden onto Shoto is definitely something. AFO seemingly was about to use a massive decay wave but Shigaraki seemed to stop him. Reason being, Dabi had already leapt out in front of him. So if AFO decayed everything in front of him, Dabi would've likely been caught in the crossfire. Now, despite AFO clearly being in control at the start of the battle, Shigaraki makes that comment at the end about thinking that he used to think Aizawa was cool but right now he's just a letdown. That obviously isn't AFO. Shigaraki is the only one who's ever thought Erasurehead was cool. As he said in S1 and 6. The line between AFO and Shigaraki has become so blurred that it feels like either one can step into the drivers seat at a moments notice. Despite that, there's still some resistance from Shigaraki's side(as we saw when he stopped the decay wave). Monoma pulled the strings. And now the battles are about to begin.
i felt the same about monoma in the beginning. i always thought he had so much potential to be both interesting and powerful and then he was treated as a joke. I did not expect him to have a comeback like this but im here for it.
Monoma has one of the coolest hero names and hero outfits too.
My boy Monoma FINALLY got to shine 😂 he's srly one of the most underrated characters in this series

30:30 - Eri with Rewind. But she used up her power to help Mirio get his quirk back so she's low on power compared to before (time based to store up power) and she was seen last episode briefly with Deku in that montage before they left UA having a small horn (shows low power output).
*Thanks to Shinso and Monoma, the plan began super well! Well, aside from Toga. But I do think the plan to isolate the villains is a good one, especially after how the first war’s plan ended up turning out.*
We saw in the Star fight that there is Tenko visage into of the AFO/Shiggy persona. If anyone disrupted AFO/Shiggy from using decay...it would have likely been him.
IIRC Manga powers are based around onomatopoeia....so he probably wrote the sound of electricity like a buzzing sounds or something to that effect.

It was just toga and the high end nomus at least some of them. And the reason monoma a quirk isn’t seen as that much because of the time limit plus he has to be with other heroes every time also has to work on touch. And with most quirks he would also have to learn how to use the quirk before hand. So In the battle field it would be very easy to dispose of him
Furthermore, he lacks combat ability

Overall, the heroes’s plan wasn’t a bad one honestly. It’s definitely better than their first one during the original war. It would be almost perfect if Toga wasn’t so unpredictable here
