@@quym373 yes, but each interceptor is 40/40 so 8 interceptors have a combined health of 640 (80x8). Shooting the interceptors is almost always a waste of effort, as more will be built by the carrier. The carrier has to be killed directly. I keep telling this to my missle turrets but the never fkn listen! 😂
I thought BC would lose to Carrier because it busy hitting the small thing. But it kill that thing faster than Carrier can produce and then kill the Carrier while in half of health lmao.
Carriers are military ships, it just depends on what the military uses them for. They are designed to take out bases, because they themselves are mobile bases for fighters i.e. interceptors, jets etc.. this is for range assaults. They are more efficient at taking out bases than Battlecruisers, with less unit loss. In the theatre of war every unit plays a part, and what they are used for depends on the objectives and they change. In real life, Battleships where THE military ships for a time, but as objectives and conditions change in war, Carriers replaced them.
To clarify, Protoss carriers weren't military vessels. They were mobile manufacturing vessels that were repurposed for drone production. They're essentially converted commercial vessels.
In the 1V4 FULLY UPGRADED BC and the 1v5 could have gotten several more seconds of BC fire if it was already moving up instead of having to move up while not firing after killing closest bc. Kind of negating one of its most useful factors, that it can chase you while it shoots you. This was a bigger factor the more carriers he added, would kill one, stop shooting, then move up to next one each time while still being attacked. And 50 v 50 BC targeting he didn't even start using yomato until several BC WERE DEAD, COULD HAVE HIT THEM FROM ACROSS THE FIELD. Someone doesn't have the magic wand. Turn up your key repeat to max and hold down the button and wave the cursor around. You can double or triple target carriers with yamoto and insta kill them. Could have killed like 10 before even getting in range. Could magic wand yamoto the whole front row just holding down the key and moving back and forth down the front rowe and kill them all. Or ideally wipe out the back rowe first (so they cant run away as much and kite you) then move through them while you focus down the front rowe. In a real fight the carriers would kite back while picking off one cruiser at a time so you would HAVE to follow them while you fight. Eiser to pick off the farthest carriers first, eliminating time not shooting while chasing.
@@dennisrodriguez3689 not really man, select all cruisers, hold down whatever key you have yamoto on, wave the cursor back and forth across the back rowe, then just click move towards the carriers. Don't even have to a click. They auto attack while they move. As you move through (mind you your doing nothing now, just watching them move and attack) start selecting single carriers. The whole battle is litterally like 5-10 actions if you don't include the rapid keys for waving magic wand of yamoto.
I know. I was thinking exactly the same when that part came and the dude basically struggled to Yamato off the entire carriers fleet, then i realized he is maybe not a good player but still a fan of StarCraft and it was fun to watch.
Carrier fans should not be upset that Battlecruisers beat out Carriers. Carriers are powerful in their own right, but are half designed to lay siege and take out heavily fortified bases very quickly. Battlecruisers are designed to fight head on with other capital ships, but are way less efficient at taking out fortified bases. (can even lose more units faster over a of period time) 1 vs 1 a Carier in Broodwar can take out a Battlecruiser....barely (if no yamato cannon and perhaps some kiteing) In a mass battle would lose, with respect to engagement due to - rate of fire Interceptors take a long time to fire compared to Battle Cruiser lasers, and when focused fire BC's can take out Carriers quicker than Carriers focus fire BCs. Units dropping off quickly snowballs where more units are focus firing taking out units even faster.
Interesting but A carriers are designed to destroy ground targets, B carriers are not suppose to just sit there. I don't know anything about SC2 but in BW you typically micro your carriers and attack in groups moving damaged carriers away and allowing carriers to heal.
@@1q34w Retreating individual carriers helps if you have a line of defense to cover the retreat. It makes it less likely chasing it to finish it actually succeeds or is even worth it.
Same thing would go for the battlecruisers tbh. That's why in ladder SC 2 they have that teleport to get the damaged ones out so they can get repaired. I'm pretty sure these videos are just to compare raw stats all throughout. Same way how the battlecruisers go through all the interceptors before going after the carrier itself.
Yes cruisers are awsome but the last one wasnt fair to be honest. While the cruisers used yamato and single focused the carriers didnt focused and attacked every one which is a very big disadvantage.
The Battlecruisers are very operational
carriers are designed to kite, their interceptor range is 14 the BC is 6.
Then shoots the interceptors :)

This really drives home that carriers weren't actually military ships.

yeah seriously
Since the hull has more armor than the shields, shouldn’t the battle cruiser wait until knocking down a carrier’s shields to fire the Yamato?

Why would it help if the carriers ran away? Cruisers can still attack.

Interceptor attack speed seems way lower than in broodwar
But they move more smoothly.
They just fly around and rarely to shoot. 😂
Can we just agree that the Russian Pilot does an amazing job :D
Pretty wild that the BC always ended with around 230 hp in the 1v1.

Amazed by how big difference between unupgraded vs full upgraded unit.
No es justo que no pongas al BC a atacar a la carrier desde el inicio, si se trata de matar a los interceptores no cuenta
great video, now u earn sc2 level of views :)
Battlecruiser wins! Aye! Bc has Yammoto gun tho...
How about Ghost vs Dark Templars?
1 viking is enough to kill a BC if not using yamato
Carriers sucked even in SC1
