FFS thats a lot for a net handle but if it only lasts for 4 years it's only £0.86.5 a week. I've Had my Drennan Team England for 13 years!! I Subscribed within 60 seconds as I like the way you are looking & thinking about tackle. Would be good to buy this as a power handle and sack the thin bit off. But I have an uncomfortable feeling of distrust with Guru tackle as it is SO Obviously manufactured by Diawa- Not that that is a Bad thing as Diawa is excellent, but are you paying new Tourney reel price for a Mag sealed Terry's chocolate Orange TDR? Been wanting a Tournney/Airity handle for a while but that 1m ext sells this for me. Just have that issue with Rooney marketing this as totally new tackle when it's Diawa developed kit. Glad I found your channel tonight geezer. Slide on brother 👍

Cracking comment Richard! Welcome to the channel and it’s a pleasure to have you on board! Haha, if this thing lasts as long as your Drennan, it’ll be only £0.26.6 a week 😂 (me trying ever so hard to justify my purchase!😖) The 1m extension is fantastic and I completely agree with you regarding Guru… I love their gear, the look of it, how it all works (still to this day, no-one has come up with something similar to the X-Safe stem so if there’s a line break with a fish on, it can escape, genius, as at most fisheries, this is the only elastic area stem they will allow!) there’s a little part of me that hates them deep down when they charge top money for items already out there, just because of the name… the reel 🤯, I don’t like it, it’s too heavy and a complete Daiwa rebranding… however, it most certainly is not an orange TDR! A TDR 18 is one of the best reels around for course fishing in my opinion… the guru Aventus reel is in fact the Daiwa 13 Certate Japan model 2013-2016, just with the guru brand lasering on it… not a bad reel, but heavy, built for sea-fishing originally over in Japan and many didn’t make it over here, therefore the perfect model to rebrand 🤷🏻‍♂️ but again, in true guru fashion, heavily overpriced for what it is!
As for the handle, I believe that this piece of tackle IS new, from scratch, it doesn’t feel like any other handle to be honest, and could just be the first item purely made by ‘guru’ personnel 🤷🏻‍♂️
Thanks for taking the time to comment Richard 👍🏻 BB

Excellent review BB, and the fact you bought it means we can all benefit from your review!
It does look an excellent bit of of kit and I like that you can use it in many configurations.
Personally, I've got the Matrix Aquos Power 4m handle that is similar in that you can use it at 4m or 3m (two threaded ends). Granted it can't go to 5m, but at £70 it's very good for the money.
Love your videos, keep up the great work 👍

Tony, firstly, thanks for you kind words, and I’m chuffed to have got the handle the day it was released and that I’ve been able to be the first to put a little review up of it for all you subscribers, so you can all have a first look… it’s how I used to gauge every piece of tackle I used to buy, reviews from independent, non-sponsored users! And there’s nothing wrong with the Aquos mate… all I would say to people regarding the Aventus handle is, don’t hold it, if you’re not going to buy it, cause you will most probably want one… it’s like nothing I’ve held before, stunning… you mention about the 5m… I honestly don’t think I’ll ever use it at 5m 😂 🤷🏻‍♂️ thanks again Tony 👍🏻 BB

🙈 I hope you’ll be happy with it Chris… if it can be afforded and it’s looked after, it’s worth the punt, I’m super impressed with it (but not the price), I genuinely think that if they’d have priced it at where the Daiwa Tournament or Airity is, they’d sell twice as many as they are going to… what would be nice is for Adam Rooney to come out and explain why the price is £180, what aspects in the make-up and materials are different to other handles… it can’t be just down to a 1m extension piece, surely 🤷🏻‍♂️… let me know when you get it and what you think mate 👍🏻 BB

@@mickyjohnson9397 This has been asked to me so many times… if you want the best cheaper rollers that are available have the Nufish Taurus 600 for £70, the Preston are ok, but if I was spending that much I’d pay the little bit more and get the Matrix rollers… they are solid, tall and the best made rollers on the market in my opinion… I have 2 of the matrix double rollers and they have been incredible!
