  • Mesopotamia, the fertile land between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, is known as the cradle of civilization and the fertile crescent because it was here that some of mankind’s most important cities and earliest civilizations were founded. It was located in modern-day Iraq, southeast Turkey, northeast Syria and Kuwait, and existed during the same time as ancient Egypt. Mesopotamia had one of the first writing systems in history, as well as mathematics and astronomy. The area also saw the rise of some of history’s most influential rulers and conquerors, including Hammurabi, Sargon I and Alexander the Great.
This video covers the brief history of Ancient Mesopotamia and then discusses how it relates to modern culture and the present-day Middle East.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: URGENT REQUEST FOR SUPPORT FOR THE CHANNEL FANS BEFORE HAVING TO PUT AN END TO THE PROJECT!
We have been striving to work on this channel (5 Minutes), producing high quality content that is also concise in as little as Minutes. We thought that this could be interesting to learn curated information in a very short period of time, especially given the quick pace of today's world.
However, unfortunately, after 1 year of consistent and patient work and regular posting of at least 1 video every 2 weeks, we have been disappointed to see that the channel has not really taken off on RUclips. With Less than 1,000 subs and as little as 300 views per video, we see no other choice but having to halt and put an end to this project we really loved and enjoyed!
We involved different RUclips experts to help us propagate the knowledge offered by this channel but the results have been modest. We understood that such low traction so far may be due to changes done by RUclips on its ranking algorithms to compete with platforms such as TikTok in entertainment videos (dance, music, fun, cooking, sports...).
Although this is a hypothesis and is definitely not verified, we are unable to pursue this project for more than this past year given that it didn't really achieve its number 1 goal, which was reaching as much people as possible around the world and disseminating knowledge in a compelling way.
We will still be publishing our last 3-4 videos over the next couple months.
We are writing this to ask for your support in case there is anything you can do, such as sharing, liking, posting on other platforms, or contributing to our Patreon page (www.patreon.com/5_minutes).
If not, then no worries, we thank you very much for liking our content and for following it!
    All the best!

Great video just one critique - The hanging gardens of Babylon never existed there (babylon was mostly flat) and in fact existed north in the city of Nineveh (mountainous terrain)

Were there lions in that area,. ????. To my knowledge the lions were there only in Africa and a small part of India (. Gujarat> )

Coninents still had land bridges thats how humans migrated it might make sense why there were lions.
