One of the greatest match I've seen! Exciting to the last point. Chen Meng shows a lot of heart to come back from 1-3 and win the match.
I really have been waiting for Chen vs Ito! Chen Meng overcame the pressure and won a meaningful victory!!

这场很精彩。伊藤的各式各样的开球值得中国队得学习。陈梦顶着巨大的压力拿下这场胜利值得朱雨玲作为借镜了。去年朱雨玲的胆怯使她自己惨败。贵为当今世界第一的陈梦就没这个问题，虽然一度落后，但是她相信自己的实力可以逆转，最终拿下这个公开赛表现最好的伊藤。王曼昱和孙颖莎也要向陈梦多多学习了。内战王很重要但是外战称王才是抗压的能力。好久没看见陈梦打得这么的精彩了。感谢伊藤让陈梦跨越了自己的障碍。希望陈梦可以一帆风顺。

Amazing match between these two ladies. Ito has proven once again that she is the real threat to China in the coming Tokyo 2020 Olympics and in the years to come. Her flat backhand and forehand drives are causing problems to Chinese players. If she keeps her consistency and accuracy, she'll no doubt be a big problem to China. Can't say anything less about Chen Meng. She kept her poise and composure after being down 3-1. She clawed her way back and her inside-out forehand was very effective against Ito, particularly on the final set where her backhands weren't falling back into the table. Congratulations to Chen Meng, the queen of Sweden open!
I didn't see her prove anything besides being mentally weak in the decider. Not the first time that can be observed. An arear the Chinese excelle usually is being mentally strong, thus I can't see Ito competing in Tokyo unless she improves in that field.

@@marcostripoli2849 Winnign Chinese players doesn't mean she has continously beaten the best in high pressure situations, which is what I refer too. Fo me she is too mentaly weak to deal with the pressure in big events in tight situations and that is what I stick to untill she proves me wrong. You keep your own oppinion I don't mind, but you won't change mine.

其实大部分时间 在顶级比赛中有中国队我们都大概知道输赢是哪方的, 大部分（笑
@@bluecatsss 其實国乒也非無敵，除伊藤外，其馀外国球手不值一哂，在各項比賽由八强開始，伊藤要一人獨对国六七人圍巢，奪冠要勝国乒最少二三人，難度確很大，能打到决賽已超乎理想，可惜日才實力接不上来，若有二三人接近伊藤水準，在团体或單人賽鹿死誰手还未知呢。

Chen gained momentum after she started to consistently feed long loops to Ito’s backhand. Ito’s forehand was phenomenal in both aggressive smashing and effective countering. Her backhand is tricky and speedy but didn’t handle Chen’s high-quality spin well enough to get the win. I also feel Chen was a little flat-footed, hopefully just because of the pressure. Ito continues to be the biggest threat to CNT and I think we all look forward to what comes next.

I think this match is very very important. it may help Chen Meng to get a seat in 2020 Tokyo Olympic.
She has reached the finals of Wttc and is no 1, so yes olympics for sure
Every time Mima Ito lost a point, Chen Meng got the extra psychological boost of affirmation and support of her coach, Ma Lin, who was cheering at the top of his voice. In the past, ITTF banned this type of practice.
Ito made too many unnecessary unforced errors on her last two games but both played well. The Chinese team will now dissect Ito Mima’s games again and brings it down to their players.

請注意看ITO 08:14 發球,她是側身幾乎170度,球高拋後往自己的肚子前墜,這時候你若沒站在對角根本看不到擊球點,但在主審位置卻是可以看到發球,這也是主審沒判遮球主因。而右手持拍者往往會選擇往左靠才能短暫看到擊球位置,但這時ITO若發個急旋直線到對面,而對手直撲往右接球必會造成接不好或失誤。或者對方若站中間一點,根本被側身遮住看不到擊球點而出拍且失分。是否有遮球?吊詭是她也並不是每球都如此~~
感觉伊藤这次主要靠新的勾手发球，其他技术还是那三板斧。后面两局陈梦适应发球了，不仅不吃还能抢攻，伊藤心态就慌了。短下旋劈反手长，出台直接拉上加转，伊藤就很难受。

伊藤的发球应该是当前女子乒坛最强的了，变化多，质量高，长短急缓上下旋都能差不多动作发，还可以发拱发拐，利用身体和执拍手合理遮挡搞的非常难判断。像孙颖莎那样吃发球且不提，我觉得就是不吃，也存在一个很大的问题，就是出不了变化，反着旋转去接太容易吃旋转只能顺着她的意思来，摆短又摆不住，伊藤知道你球回过来什么样子，球球都是算着打；相比之下伊藤反手一个生胶不怎么吃转，接你发球变化很多，来回就是靠个疾长，这样很容易心里发虚。陈梦这还是顶住心里压力了，针对伊藤这发球肯定要想想办法。

有什利害，倚著六七人圍巢伊藤，僥倖保住面子，若再被一串三，甚麼架也掉清了，研究了這麽久，还嚇得一身汗。若日本多二三個伊藤水平的選手，馬上食不安睡不寧了。
Ito是个值得上墙重点关注的对手，陈梦是条真汉子！

Since Ito came on the world stage and smashing all records, the Chinese devotedly focused on her weaknesses. Her trump card is the BH pimples which impact unpredictable counters, blocks and flat, speedy punches. Now she's thoroughly dissected and effectively neutralized. However, it's not an easy task coz the Chinese are NOT fighting fire with fire (same rubber combo & blade) but gone up to a higher level of power, spin and accuracy that's gonna leave the other countries miles behind unless they work hard on the same principle. For Japan, besides Ito, the other top rated girls are clearly miles behind. That shows the difference between hard-earned basic skills and tricky shortcuts. After all, this in fact is a constant see-saw battle which we, as table tennis fanatics, love to watch and cheer with excitement.

seems to me the difference is Ma Lin and his secret instructions. CHO = serve back spin next time, CHO + clap = serve top spin, CHO + 2 claps = surprised serve, CHO LE CHO + clap = serve and third ball attack. xD

I don’t think so, secret signals had been used for ages ago eg. wearing hats, slogans , hand signals, flags etc. Maybe this is one of the reasons why it is allowed the coach shout to their players to give instruction in between plays.

Ito looked tired. This is because she had to go thru' a much harder path before coming to this final.
This is one of her best match, anyway.
雙方都打得不錯,只是ITO因CM後來居上,而失去贏球信心,但她到最後都沒手軟放棄值得稱讚。反觀曼昱與SS到最後就崩潰了。個人覺得教練的臨場指導策略有關,相信MA LIN一定在技術細節與心態的調整給于很大協助,這點從CM的勝利感言有特別提到。否則憑SS的實力,至少可以4:2就擋下ITO。

对战伊藤不能有恐惧，一旦有了就很难赢她了。然后必须有坚定和不服输的心态。王艺迪就是一个例子，她坚信自己比伊藤更优秀所以她能在香港公开赛赢了伊藤。伊藤越来越强了，所以中国一队的球员不能轻敌，自我提升最关键。每时每刻都要提升自我的实力，实力提升了就不会担心输给伊藤了，加油吧。

Although losing after being 3-1 up is a bit disappointing, What we've seen from Ito in this tournament is a very good sign that she is still as big a threat as ever to CNT, she just needs to play at this level and consistency more often.
Ito practically gave up the match in the last set. She totally lost concentration. Otherwise great match from both player.
She was mentally tired, as Sun became in the last set of the semi final

The ITTF stipulates that it is not possible to block the serve with any part of the body. Everyone pays attention to the use of the shoulder to block the line of sight before the ITO serves. Obviously blocking the serve!
To be fair though, Wang Liqin, Chen Weixing, and even Xu Xin used to hide their serves with their shoulders. At least you can still see the point of contact with Ito's serves. I mean, look at Par Gerell. I don't know how he gets away with his serves.

Ma Lin sure is noisy as a coach. It's almost as loud as Harimoto sometimes. I get that it's the Finals, but even Chen Meng is staying quiet most of the time. His habits from his playing years are still there lol. Still an amazing game from both players.
That’s Ma Lin yelling “jolley” when Chen Meng wins a point? What’s up with that? Terribly annoying. That’s worse than them clapping robotically after they win points. That was an awesome match, in spite of the noise by one of the GOATs!
@@bryanfaz “clapping robotically" what a perfect way to describe Kong Linghui's reaction when he was still the coach for the women's team. Anyway, yes that's Ma Lin. Expect more of his yelling since he's now the coach for the A squad for the women's team.

日本婆打得好狠呀,谷住一肚气吧,无论如何,佢嘅打法,真係好有杀傷力,快而有力,打两檯角係常事,的确几攞命,更甚嘅係奥運係佢嗰度打,有机会佢打高半线,今次赛事佢打败王曼鱼係毫无疑问,王曼鱼同佢有一定距离,孫泳沙輸俾佢我觉得係有意留俾陈夢试试身手,总算係成功嘅,往后边个对住尼个日本婆都要格外留神,OK.

Mima chang was a bit inpatient towards the end. A time-out should have been called when she had two points behind . Chen Meng played a great game and she got all the momentum after coming back from behind.
伊騰美誠個子矮小，重心偏右不退枱打法(右腿偏粗發力，左腿輔助及支撐為主)，以羽毛球及乒乓球步法混合使用，反手相對強而同時又補到正手發力的不足(相反理論以反手攻擊為主)，由於身體太貼枱，正手角位底線及右腿重心中間位置容易出現漏洞。策略上，多以攻其正手位範圍為主，要左右調動令其體力下降，另外，她發球後，留意其還原位置多以右腳踏前為反手而準備的，她擊球時多偏向對方正手位發動攻勢，以眼看對方非重心腳而擊之。

My bet is Ma /Xu Cheng /Liu in single. Xu/ Liu mixed double. Ding/ Cheng Ma/ Lin team double.

As Chinese origin I am rooting for Chen Meng without reservation. However, I am so sick of the shouting of Ma Lin for every losing point of Ito even if this was unforced error.
