Thank you so much and I appreciate you watching! Harold's been amazing and the most accessible person I've ever met in Hollywood. A real geniune soul and I hope he gets all his flowers.
Seems like there are a number of viewers not understanding what kind of show this is, it's more of a mystery/puzzle than horror. Answers aren't going to come easy when the story is complex, there are a lot of different pieces that connect to create the full picture of what happened and what's going on. The answers are there, as with any puzzle, it's just about finding the pieces that fit. And those pieces are right in front of you (the audience). The most complex puzzles take the longest to put together = don't expect to get all the answers to all your questions when you think you should. The writers aren't on your schedule and if you don't have the patience to receive those answers when they are ready to be given, then you are free to watch something else. I don't have a problem with the show, as long as stuff adds up in the end, I'm fine with taking the journey. There's so much going on I don't expect to get abunch of answers right away. That being said, the season 3 finale answered and confirmed quite a few of my questions and suspicions. Can't wait for season 4.
I like your analysis and interview with Daddy Boyd. 😍😍 Disappointed I haven't found your channel in the midst of all the From channels until now! Def following along for season 4!
Great interview and well thought out fan questions. Harold Perrineau is one actor I've kept up with since his great character of Augustus Hill in "Oz". This man can make you feel what he feels in every role he does. "From" is one of my favorite shows and of course he's brilliant in it as well. I was originally attracted to by the highly underrated Mr. Perrineau with a nod from Stephen King, who endorsed it early on. P.S. "Lost" would have been so much better with Harold Perrineau's character and story arc getting the attention it deserved. That was a missed opportunity to showcase his deep level acting chops.
The only ly thing I think about now regarding the spoilers. The season 3 leaks/spoilers turned out to be true. In that very same thread/discussion, a major plot point for the entire series may have been leaked/spoiled also.
Loved the interview with Harold P I rewatched Lost and got a newfound admiration for Harold as an actor! Thanks so much for doing the interview!! Loved your questions about the show!! Harold has a wonderful personality and a cute laugh!! He plays such a serious character - Much love and respect ✊
The key to understanding From is knowing psychology and astronomy. Because the narrative is the sun's journey, best understood as Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey (one and the same), and the character's are a collection of complexes and Jungian archetypes best understood with cognitive maps. Whether the show goes into the direction of reincarnation or aliens or something else, these are all metaphors for the fact that the show represents the patterns within the subconscious of a repressed mind suffering trauma. The moment that seals it is the appearance of the man in Yellow, which represents the superego. Before we get there, the key word is "remember," "This is the clincher also." Everything has already happened, there is no time travel or reincarnation, there is just the loop of false memories the mind is stuck in, and every archetype is just another failed cycle, not a reincarnation This cycle is different because they are remembering the repressed truth instead of living a fantasy. That's why the place is changing. The place is also changing because of the overall narrative. Jade playing music, using the energy of sound, the rebirth of the sungod during the winter solstice, the rebirth of Smiley, and the appearance of the man in yellow as Tabitha remembers the truth all happens simultaneously for reasons. Jade and Christopher embody the magician archetype just like Tabitha and Miranda are the hero archetypes. The mind has been recreating archetypes to perform in front of the Big Other. Other characters, like Jim, are not archetypes. They are complexes (Archetypes are from the collective unconscious and complexes are from the personal unconscious) The Boy in White is the unconscious self, and the monsters are the repressed trauma, the people responsible for the child sacrifices. The man in yellow is the superego, and Jim wasn't real. He was the Oedipus complex. That's why they said they aren't your kids, that's why he staggered when he realizes he isn't real, that's why we have that flashback of him saying sometimes I remember when it wasn't like this. When Tabitha remembered the truth, Jim (Oedipus complex) became irrelevant. The superego is a cruel, harsh, and prosecuting force. The superego also emerges as a defence mechanism to resolve the Oedipus complex and represses the complex's strong feelings. That is why the man in yellow (superego) kills Jim (Oedipus complex). From is the stage in the subconscious, the Big Other, and the archetypes are performing in front of it to find the real circumstances leading to the children being sacrificed. For a comparison, just look at Lynch's Lost Highway. The man in black is the superego, and Mr. Eddy is the Oedipus complex. That's why it is the superego that shoots Mr Eddy while they are in Fred's subconscious and not the main character Fred killing Dick Laurent in real life. Because Mr. EddyEddy/Dick Laurent didn't really exist. It was the superego resolving the Oedipus complex. That's also the reason we have the cryptic message "Dick Laurent is dead" at the beginning and end of the movie because everything has already happened before Act 1. It also represents the closed loop, the mobius strip, which is also what Julie and the rope represent. We are just seeing the mind working out what is a real memory from what has been a fantasy or dream. And just like in real life, shedding light on darkness, unifying and recognizing your personalities, and "letting go" is the key message. It is the only way to raise your frequency to a higher level. Numbers = music = frequency = vibration = energy Understanding it is energy is more important than saying the numbers are music. We are all energy, and emotions are energy in motion. If you are trapped in a low frequency, it is like being trapped in a place full of monsters. When you shed light on your darkness, surrender and accept, and let go, your frequency will move to a higher level, and you have reached heavenly bliss or surplus joy. The only time we are truly happy is when we are day dreaming about future happiness.
@brandih9802 there is so much more to say, but it's best understood by looking at the images of Campbell's hero's journey side by side with Jung's map of the psyche and the sun's sine wave and eliptic path. Overseas, From is known as Origins, and the origin to all the mythology is Prisca Theologia, or ancient astronomy.
I was really hoping it would be a real evil entity from HP Lovecraft that created a pocket dimension. It's all within your own mind dimension is cool but not as cool to me
1);Eloise Acosta? 2) Talking bout the Avenggers ... I think Julie could bend the story ... Not just the observer, even though Ethan said otherwise 3)Whaaa? MIY have had make an appearance before? Which session/episode? 4)I think Abby would be back, that so much about her and her connected to Boyd need to be learned 5)Quantum Physics theory is in play here (Jade thought bout this) 6)Thank you
This. I have a suspicion that, Julie's story arch will come down to going back in time to help herself. Specifically how soon she can discover she can Time Travel.
Not sure if MGM+ as a growing network has the budget for that. They've said since season 2 they have a roadmap but I'm sure they'll take this season's feedback into consideration. I'm confident season 4 will be an improvement since the plot has to accelerate now.
@@BeatsBoxingMayhem I could've swore in one interview with Harold and one of the show creators they mentioned that MGM wanted to know they had a good story and required they know the ending before allowing them the budget. I will try to find that interview in my history and share it. Thanks for the great episode and interview. I enjoyed it as always.
I was also wondering what happened to the Operation Snatch-a-monster, but then I realized there's a lot that's happened in the like 1-2 days since Boyd had the idea 🤣. For the Tyson fight, so glad he didn't get knocked out. Also, the season finale makes me glad that Kenny burned all the creatures because by now all the women in Fromville would be pregnant. The factions next season: I agree with their being at least 3. A lot depends on on long in time they want to have it. For instance, this season it's only been 2 or 3 days , they can easily make next season 1 day. Also, his last name is pronounced "Pear-i-no'"
I like Harold brought up the coming split in the town possibilty. I dont see how they are gonna keep torturing elgin under wraps or the murder of tilly. especially when all the town was out looking for her and under very clear manipulation from boyd. My feelings is that the new faction is going to be the clinic faction because Kristi is in no way going to support boyd's actions at all, they also have randall and that coudl easily lead to include elgin, because he needs help too. the other thing is Just because they tortured the answer ot of Elgin it doent mean they convinced him that he is wrong. He could be like a preacher spreading a message and blaming his plans failure on boyd being too reactionary. Either way i am worried for Boyd next season................ Also Crawford could win against old man canelo his legs were never great but they gotten worse over the years.

Yeah I’d like to know that and how on earth did she suspect and get confirmation from kristie about her pregnancy mere hours after smiley was made to sleep with the fishes? 🫤
@paige. Ok so Ellis got stabbed and they rushed him to the clinic, Ellis needed a blood transfusion that night so Boyd transferred worms to smiley and smiley ceased to be alive. The next morning, mere hours after smiley died, Fatima told kristie she suspected she was pregnant and Kristie confirmed it suggesting that Fatima suspected she was pregnant way before smiley died, like she would’ve skipped a period, and had morning sickness and stuff like that, signs that would’ve been going on for days or weeks for her to suspect pregnancy especially since she thought she was infertile. So my question is, if she was regenerating smiley, how on earth was she pregnant with him before he even died?
