I wasn’t able to notice the quotation marks because I listened on Audible but hearing that makes me love it so much more!

Good work! This is like a quiet triumph about a quiet triumph. Seriously though, I'm joyed and excited to have learned what this popular novel is about. I'm an aspiring writer and small-time editor myself, and this seems to be something in the spirit of what I'm trying to express in my current manuscript. My novel excludes the stressful details of modern life and attempts to tell its story through the possible if not plausible and use of metaphor. No snow shall be included though, crazy as that may sound. But even just for fun, I need to read The Snow Child and sooner rather than later. And thank you for not spoiling . . . you know . . . stuff.

Yes!! I thought that was a really unique aspect to the book bc I personally haven't read any other books with main characters in that age group

that's the thing I found fascinating! How could I possibly want to read about a 50 year old married couple with no child, living in an Alaskan wilderness in the 1920s. And I kid you not, this book was un-put-down-able :)
