I don't care what anyone says, these two have one of the best relationships in the whole show, and the way it was underutilised is an absolute crime. They understood each other on such a sweet, genuine level. Totally unique to their relationships with Joey and Monica respectively. Don't get me wrong, Chandler/Joey have THE greatest friendship in Friends (if not one of the best on screen generally), and Monica/Rachel are great, too, but these two are special.
IRL Jennifer and Matthew are super close and I feel like I remember hearing that it was hard to do scenes with them because the actors would just goof off but I could be totally wrong 😂🤷🏼♀
And what i really love, they are real friends. Others male/female relationships of the show either a relationship/were attracted to each other in some point (Ross&Rachel, Monica&Chandler, Joey&Rachel, Joey&Phoebe, probably even Joey&Monica) or not really close (Chandler&Phoebe, Ross&Phoebe). I just came to know that in the start of the show Joey and Monica were going to be the couple and mondler was just going to be a fling and I also came to know that Ross and Rachel's relationship wasnt going to be the central romance of the show there storyline was actually developed because of Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer's chemistry. And I just started wondering what if Joey and Monica actually had become a realtionship instead of Ross and Rachel what if it was Chandler and Rachel instead of Chandler and Monica and also instead off Mike and Phoebe what if it would have been Ross and Phoebe all of these couples had a deep connection together but they had very few scenes. What do you guys think? I hope that in this multiverse somewhere this possibility was a reality and it was even better
