    Some of the most successful people are those who were scapegoated at an early age and learned self-reliance, and then, self-love. Thanks for helping instill that second piece

    I really needed this today cause on Sunday, my narcissistic mother said a lot of mean and abusive things to me.
    And it opened my eyes to realizing, I have to let her go and go no contact with her.
    And then I see this - which is exactly what I need. So thank you!

    I am late and crying after doing this. Guess it's what I need after being blamed by my mom for her divorce and blamed for not being my husband's version of perfect and for everything else in between. I feel better and will do this one again until I don't cry anymore. Thanks for the release.

    I had so much clearing with this tapping video, as many of us are at the receiving end of unfair blame!! I could never understand why it always seemed to happen that way for me when I was younger, other people blaming me for their bad behaviour!! Its a real light bulb moment when you understand what is really going on. I can recognise this scapegoat pattern very easily now and handling it in a much healthier way. I have a lot to clear out around this issue and will repeat this tapping until I no longer resonate with this energy. Thank you so much!!

    Perfect! A while back I dreamed my sisters and I were "hanging on a hook" in cell of some kind. My dad was the jailer and my mom was the "matron." There was more to the story but "doing the time when I didn't do the crime" resonates deeply. Thank you for this!

    Experiencing and moving through so much anger and rage today with this, the role of scapegoat, the role of rescuer in my family 😠 I chose against this role recently during an emergency with Mum, and it’s terrifying me. But I can’t do it anymore, I won’t do it anymore. And I don’t know what that looks like 😭

      I had to do the same thing with my Narc parent. I took the advice of the therapist to go no contact. I offered to help in ways that did not involve direct contact with him but the offers were rejected by the siblings who now accuse me of abandoning them to take care of him. The truth is I was alway the caretaker of all of them from childhood on. Not once could I ever count on any of them to offer care to me. I did not owe any of them anything and even when I still tried I was still accused of things I did not do and blamed for things that were not my doing. I am free now but I have had to process a lot of grief and anxiousness to get to the place of peace. It was never my job to be the emotional punching bag of my family.

    Thank you for tapping on this theme - perfect for me! I found it powerful and healing. It's a comfort to know I can return to it as often as I need. Also, the comments by others are a big help to me. There's something so lonely about being scapegoated - I mean the whole deal is geared to make the targetted person feel like the only super weirdo in the universe. So the friendliness and wisdom of this whole community feels like a treasure to me.

    Hi! And thank you Brad! This is the first time I ever heard anyone describe what has come up in my healing sessions a million times over. Punished for others misdeeds Anyone knowing my experiences would say and you are still here? I thank all who have led me on my path, knowing deep down I am not my experiences as Louise hay would say and the lessons in life. I can say how can I love more? , the more I forgive the more I love, myself included. My deepest hardest times now losing my husband to cancer 2019 losing everything we owned and still trying to find my way to support myself at age 58 many blessings to you and all who are experiencing difficult situations may everyone experience comfort. ❤️

    Hi Brad! Thank you so much for your ongoing commitment to this work! Definitely has changed my life tremendously! To some degree I can track my progress based on which of your videos I’m needing and drawn to at any given time. Do you have, or would you consider making, a video about being more playful and light hearted? After “doing the work” day after day for so many years, I really want to awaken my playful goofy side and am guessing one of your videos would really really help! In any case, THANK YOU!!!

    holy !!! I never consciously knew that I am holding these thoughts of Scapegoat!!. My memory took me to my workplace where I had joined and within 5 days, they made me responsible for a stuff that happened 7 years back. When I confronted, I was told you take responsibility as leader of past actions too !! Very frustrating it was during those days when I was grappling with new role and such unethically Scapegoat. ahhh !!! Will tap few more round

    What do you think of the havening technique? It has become the second psycho-sensory healing therapy after tapping. Or maybe the third if you include mesmerism. Anyway I think we are returning to a time when hypnosis had a physical component. More tools for our tool box.

    Gosh, why are victims of narcissistic abuse always told to love their abusers? Victims of sexual abuse aren’t told to love and forgive the person who sexually molested them as children? Studies show that emotional abuse has more severe long term consequences than sexual or physical abuse. One of the reasons is because we never get closure. We are always told to forgive. Even in EFT tapping video. It’s so important that victims of abuse get to decide when and if to forgive. Many have to leave their parents forever and it’s very tragic and painful. But it’s the only way to regain sanity and be safe. That’s the harsh reality of narcissistic/sadistic ongoing abuse. (Narc parents btw. show no empathy towards their children in brain scans. Let that sink).

    • @tapwithbrad
      @tapwithbrad  2 года назад +2

      I'm sorry if you felt I was saying anyone needed to forgive anyone else. I think it's great when someone can get there, because that is a powerful level of closure, so I hope I can facilitate that, but I don't believe it's a "should."

    • @dnk4559
      @dnk4559 Год назад +1

      That’s interesting that Narc parents show no empathy towards their children in brain scans. The therapist I am working on childhood trauma with says my parent was narcissistic. I was his main scapegoat and this behavior was modeled for my siblings who have been scapegoating me for years but it has gotten worse since his passing.
